For any who have missed their Hector updates as I have been whittling on about mothers' - here goes... and look at those little new antlers.

He's not just a "Moss Muncher" but a "Dandelion Demolisher" too.

They do grow fast, don't they? (Dandelions, antlers, baby reindeer, lol!)

    It's a bird, it's a bee, no it's a thrush...

I thought the "nest on a shelf" was a jackdaw as they were the only birds I had seen coming and going from my field shelter, stealing reindeer hair, food, hay etc. but the girl sitting today is a thrush, I think:)

What a smart Mama bird. Your field shelter is also one for the birds. LOL
Thanks for the munchies video of Hector....................I could just sit and watch him for hours.:p
Does he like snuggles, pets or to be scratched? :music:OOOH look at those big boy antlers starting. Wow......that was quick!

Oh Hector loves attention, way too much Brookeham. I am having behavioural issues with him, not with me but with small children as he chases them for attention... :( I am having to get "tame" older children on board to tell him off..

On to girls, I tried to take udder pictures of all today but surprisingly Twiglet didn't object to me between her hind legs, Mischa and Katya wouldn't stand still for private photo's... but these three are getting close now..
Only Twigs udder available and I don't think she will be the first.

Stressing, stressing, stressing.. I want to move the herd into maternity paddock, as we are getting VERY CLOSE (I keep it fallow for 9 months) but need it/them worm free before I move. I wormed all on the 13th March but with a "white wormer" which isn't great for round worm but good for tape/flukes... Wanted to worm with Ivermectin before I moved but Twiglet again seems to have a tapeworm... Sent off fecal samples on Monday but no reply yet :( Stressy time.. :(

Hope worming won't adversely harm the babies arriving soon. But yes, you need to keep that maternity paddock free of worms. :)
