So glad we don't have them today;);) xDxD Ahhh....GhostbustersxDxDxDmy kids and I watched that movie sooooooo much and that song:music::music::music:stuck in my head for hours:music::music:xD

You did spell it right Julie :) Kattegat is the sea between Sweden and Denmark.

If you are in Denmark, in Skagen, and go to the most northern spot called Grenen you will find Kattegat and Skagerrak (the sea on the other side of Jutland) meeting there. It is soooo cool because if you go in the water you will actually get waves from two sides!
It is not allowed to swim there because it is dangerous, but you can walk in the water and feel the waves coming - I love it :)
In fact you have to be careful swimming in the water on that side of Jutland (Skagerrak - also called Vesterhavet) because it is wild and there are rip currents. But the beach is sandy and it is a lovely place in the summer. Only thing missing are the palms and a couple of degrees :p

One two don't be scared of sweet little me - I am only like that when I get angry xD
    Edit: spelling

No, I won't. I will be on my good behaviour.

We get that channel too. But have to find out if the programme is for India too.
That's a great information, meba. Two seas meeting and waves on both direction. That's wonderful.

We have 3 seas meeting in southern most tip of India peninsular. The southern most part of India is in Tamilnadu and its called Kanyakumari (In English its called Cape Comorin or Cape Komari ). This is the place were 3 seas - Indian Ocean, Arabian sea & Bay of Bengal (don't be mistaken by the name. Its a sea) merge. This place was one of ancient place were Europeans(Romans, Greeks etc) had commercial/ ship contacts with Tamil Kings. You can find it in mentioned by Ptolemy and in the Greek Book The Periplus Of The Erythraean Sea

The sand here are of multi-colour. Veru rocky sea and dangerous too. But still people bathe to a certain extent and I drenched my feets and waded in the water with rocks here and there. You have boat service to two rocks, Thiruvalluvar Rock & Vivekanandar rock. Very exciting.

You can view both sunrise and sunset. They are very special. When the weather is clear, on full-moon evenings one can also see the moonrise and sunset at the same time - on either side of the horizon. A variety of shells are on sale on the Kanyakumari beach. Once I bought a packet containing different colours of sand from here and my cousin asked for it and I gave it to him.

Just like vikings in historical novels. xD

Yeah me too Julie :) And that is correct - he is the fastest of them all too. The name is Toothless and I love that dragon :inlove:

One two Wow! 3 seas meeting! - I can't imagine how the waves go. Do they revoke each other? At Grenen you can see the line where the seas are meeting and the waves collide.
And that sunset and moon rise sounds so beautiful! :)

Another movie. Now I have 3 to my list. I will watch them during my summer vacations in May.

We get waves from all 3 directions and they collide with each other. Due to 3 different seas merging the colour of each sand and sand granules size varies. When I first visited this place,I was a child, so couldn't make out the difference. In my previous visit several years back, I noted it with wonder. Next time when I go, I will get first hand pictures and post it in gabfest section.

There is an 3000 years old ancient temple built by Pandiya King right on the seashore surrounded by the seas. I couldn't go inside the temple because when I went there it was closing hours of the temple. The nose ring of Goddess Kanyakumari idol is diamond set with rubies and are so bright and that could be seen from far at night. Also it is told in ancient days some ships sailing in the sea, mistaking the brilliance of the rubies for the light from the Lighthouse , went off shore got wrecked, hitting against the rocks nearby. Therefore the eastern side facing sea gate of the temple is kept closed and is opened only few times a year . The idol is made of blue stone. Next time I am making sure that I see the nose ring. Very sure.

12ss12, There is a sequel so there are four movies on your list! They also made a series of short 30 minute episodes (might be 20 without commercials). (You can tell I like Toothless too.)

Love your pictures of the sea!
