This was another reason for my confusion a bit earlier, when I said we already had a tulip tree. (in another thread maybe?) There is more than one tree commonly called a tulip tree here in the US. The Catawpa is sometimes called that (which we have here, produces Angel's trumpets). There is also a type of popular known as the tulip popular, just as an example.

Ironically enough, I have never heard of the magnolia being called a tulip tree. I know of magnolias from having lived for a bit in Mississippi. (Mississippi is called the "magnolia state" among other names) It is quite a pretty tree/bush with big, wide flowers.

My friend just gave me a magnolia tree (as big as my hand). Depending on the kind of magnolia they have white or pinkish flowers. Those with white flowers can grow up to 80 feet and are evergreens. The blossoms are very fragrant.
I hope I planted it on the right place.

 

The tulip poplar is native to the Eastern United States, I have several in my yard.

 

Thanks for the information Woody, Catawpa is also known as the 'Indian bean Tree' or Botanically as Catalpa bignonioides and is as you say native to SE United States.
It stands out as having huge leaves hence the name in Latin meaning ;Big Leaf' and long seed pods which dangle from the tree making it very attractive.
This is all very interesting and trees being my job, I cant help but add my bit to the subject.

That Magnolia flower is beautiful. The Magnolias are a huge genus.

Hey guys, I don't understand why I have to buy from the MM. store to keep my crops. They all,(spooky crops) went down to zero. Is there a webspot that I have not read or what. Please help, 68 year old grandma, and DBAYES is my daughter.

 

dustydi1, the MM store (Jack's Shop) does NOT sell seeds. It takes seeds from you to make things or unlock bat/crow breeding. If you are clicking stuff in Jack's Shop, that is where your seeds are going. The system will eventually give you 10 seeds when you go down to zero but it takes some time. Also, if you are working on FSQs (Farmer's Society Quests) that are MM related and you donate seeds to any of the steps, the system automatically takes whatever number of seeds you have, subtracts 10 and donates the rest. Be careful of what you donate. You should always specify how many you want to donate, don't let it default to the maximum.

If you understand all this and are still having problems with your MM seeds, you will need to submit a ticket to support to have your account checked.

 

Hi dustydil - if you turned in all your crops and they dropped to zero, you will have to wait until the next MM to get new seeds unlike regular events that replace them within a few hours. If all your crops dropped to zero and you were not donating them, then I agree you will need to have your account checked. Good luck!
