No, this can't be done! Once you make a combination, you will get star coins and will move to the next level!!!

(like in the previous event .. one moved forwards after completing a set)

Huge thanks @12ss12, @illy1996 and @Jools for working out all the nitty gritty on this one. I arrived back from work with a barely functioning brain and just thought [IMG]. Now I think I'm about with it and so glad this weekend is a bank holiday so I'll actually be able to grow some crops - will be ripping all my fields up for this one by the looks of it. Planting 1x1's with refined carnations and the longest crop on Baha islands ready for first harvest after the event begins.

8-coin-patterns that require the least amount of event crops:

Level 1: 3 lanterns with event crops.
Level 2: 3 lanterns with event crops.

Level 3: 4 lanterns with event crops.
Level 4: 3 lanterns with event crops.

Level 5: 3 lanterns with event crops.
Level 6: 3 lanterns with event crops.

Level 7: 3 lanterns with event crops.
Level 8: 4 lanterns with event crops.

Level 9: 3 lanterns with event crops.
Level 10: 3 lanterns with event crops.
    • H = Hyacinths
    • G = Glowberries
    • T = Tents
    • F = Flasks
    • B = Backpacks
    • X = Something else
The numbers under each pattern is the amount of the event items required for that pattern. The numbers for tents and flasks include those packed in the backpacks.

In most cases you get the best value per event crop by completing three lines. However in level 2 and level 7 you can complete one diagonal without any crops.

If you find any mistakes, please let me know :)

    My brain hurts ...o_O

I've had to give a pass to the last several events due to staggering work obligations. Had thought I'd at least make an attempt at this one, but not so sure.

Thanks to everyone for all of the analyses which will really help :inlove: when I've had enough caffeine. xD:cry:

Great job Mir! Thanks a lot! [IMG]
It gives such a good overview - much better than my 20 papers lying around the tableo_O

I am only going for the PF in this event and then I will join the poo business and build stock.

    Good luck to everyone!

Thank Goodness for all the smart people willing to help us not math-inclined figure this monumental event.:p
Kudos to 12ss12, illy, Jools(so nice to see you!), habalala, and finally Mir - for the fantastic help w/ 8 coin patterns!!!!;)

At 1st glance, I wasn't sure I even wanted to attempt this event? The rewards do Not justify the horrendous amount of event crops & breeding animals. Then, I thought perhaps I will try to score some cc's with poo mucking & breeding animals. I didn't have my act together to do so with the last Neon event. But I know myself....or should I say the severity of my darn FOCD!!:music:xDSo...tomorrow a.m. I will begin my uphill climb with the crops & drops.:sleepy:
Good luck to everyone who will join me on this trek.;)

Simple broke strategy for the broke farm: Grow junks and behave as brainless. Last two days, the farm will begin to throw.

As the mind is occupied for hopefully a few days, it's just another gazillion junk grow and throw with no thought for this farm.

I will enjoy this event - selling everything I can at hugely inflated prices in the hope of buying top level breeding animals for soup n friends xD. Fortunately FOCD has avoided me and after reading the convoluted FAQ I just thought "nope". But good luck to all of you trying.

With my "noobbie" farm, not four weeks old yet, there is very little likelihood that it will be able to complete a difficult event as the trophy levels are not high enough. The farm will prepare with long term crops and I'll tote the trophies and calculate the drop rate.

Provided drop rate computation will yield insufficient drops in order to complete the event, as expected, the farm will focus on a single giver which should be achievable.

Chicken feed has been milling for a week. The farm will stop star chasing for a week, engage in poo farming, buy what it needs for quests in order to get stars, continue to work crop trophy with proceeds, and even buy ep/tep. Barn building at this time is the priority.

I do not recommend this event for a noob farm as it is a waste. The one exception is the stars available and the cost. If reasonable then only to that point as the stars will become unavailable when the event ends and the now available stars will still remain.

I recommend the farm under level 74 pick and choose what may be helpful.

Mature farms that are not TOP 1000 preparing AND concerned with ep/tep should definitely complete the cloud row.

Mature farms that ARE TOP 1000 preparing are wasting their time and perhaps only shooting themselves in the foot

BUT if the mature farm is prepared for the TOP 1000 and desiring to participate then flip a coin.

Mature farms with no concern for ep/tep or TOP 1000 should search rewards. If nothing there for their farm then there is nothing lost.

Again, the stars available are simply a matter cost both cost per star and convenience.

This is defined as a difficult event. With proper fields productivity maintained, this entire event is DEFINITELY doable.

Good luck to all with whatever the results of your decision.
