That's right Aluntino, it is slightly better since you don't use event crops in level 2&7 :)

I have made a plan. Don't know if I will stick to it, since I seem to change my mind every time I look at the requirements :p Anyway, first it minimizes event crops, second it minimizes tents (to balance the number of tents and flasks), third I have favored growing hyacinths over glowberries. There are also some personal preferences regarding the prizes, so there are other choices of patterns that are equally good, or better, if you have other preferences than me :)

I want to get the cloudrow (with items) and the miscellaneous prizes. I think that's 115 coins, so with my plan that is one full round, level 1-7 again and finally two rows from level 8.

    • I Got 225 Tents and 220 Thermos Flasks on Initial Harvest. As i have been working out to get the Best Lantern Prizes, using little Junk Crops and Event Drops.

My First Target is Miscellaneous Prizes + Cloud Row = 44 Star Coins. Within Next 24 Hours which is Doable :p

The First Round of 10 Levels is Mainly Two Coins for Combination per Level except Level 9 gives 4 Star Coins, Giving total of 22 Star Coins....But able to work out using lesser amount of Tents and Thermos Flasks.

    • 9600 Hyacinths
    • 3600 Glow Berries
    • 180 Tents
    • 180 Thermos Flasks
    Rewards from Unlocking Lanterns From First 10 Levels;
    • 60 Super Grow
    • 60 Suzy Super Grow
    • 4 Party Spins
    • 2 Wonder Stables
    • 2 Wonder Trees
    • 22 Star Coins
I now have all 1 x 1 Fields, During the Day i will grow Hyacinths, During Night Time Grow Glow Berries, for Every full harvest of All Fields will reap me 2886 Junk Crops with CAC Running !!

From Level 11 to 20 i will Aim to get 4 Star Coins using any Two Lines Combinations, which would get me 40 Star Coins. Now working out how Many more Junk Crops and Drops additionally to my Above Calculation ;)

Using my Calculations will be more Appealing to Newbies/Those who not getting good drops rates or farm is Idle due to RL :)

Wish you all best of Luck with this Event I also hope you are Clear which Lanterns to unlock. I would Tread Carefully unlocking these Lanterns Especially need to write down and plan which Lanterns to unlock in right order until you are satisfied to progress to next level ;)

Ok, I have to confess. I caved in:eek:. After sleeping in nice and late until my overnight MM crops were ready (and not really preparing my farm well at all the day b4 for max drops)... I buckled and planted and nuked the event crops a little while ago after I had a few cups of coffee in me:sleepy:. I'm going to do the brainless grow grow grow thing Broke mentioned, and decide what do do with the crops and drops nearer to the end of the event (using Mir's charts to get what I want/can... I really want/need that CR and the givers tho! CRs are my farm's and island's growth hormones right now tho).
Dang that FOCD, I'm so ashamed that I am so weak:wuerg:

Good luck everybody that's tackling this one... and for those of you that have completely resisted this event and held your ground, I envy you lol.xD

Right on Mooboy, keep going! It seems this is the only way to do the event in full and "fast". But are the prizes worth the effort? Not to me.

Please do post your path to follow. I'm sure some fellow players will highly appreciate it!

I've decided to grow what I can in the time that I have and just take it easy. Have a field of chickens running just because I need to replenish my cc balance after a massive spending spree! I am also going to shamelessly steal Mir's patterns because thinking makes my head hurt at the moment!xD

Have had Dr's appts. all day so am just getting started. Thank you everyone for figuring out this event.
I haven't had time to make heads or tails out of any of it yet but really don't want to grow a gazillion junks :sleepy: so I'm stealing Mir's plan too :D Thank you :music:
    Good luck everyone :)

I was caught off guard this morning, I mistakenly thought the event started tomorrow, so par for course I immediately started my opening day event planting routine for both crops...I had harvested and began the second round by the time I had completed reading all strategy posts and FAQs. A special thanks to all who broke the event down for us, quite a feat! Am I missing something that makes this event worth doing? requirements high, rewards low, and cloud row underwhelming...I have sat out very few events, and have since regretted not doing/completing a couple, am I missing something that would make this event one of those regrets?

My guess.. you're missing fireflies doing a happy dance on your screen to look at?

Seriously, I fear you got it right this time, no game related harm done if you wish to skip this event. Unless in the future BP decides to upgrade undervalued (T)EP givers by 500%.. Anything is possible. Right? :)

Mooboy, I just luv it. I have been edging toward the exact same. I just need the harvest intervals to work with my RL and they are not quite as efficient as I would like just yet.

It's pretty brainless though. I'm a member of the brainless and even the brainless brainlessors as I don't even bother computing the number of crops per harvest. Only the total matters to the super brainless like me.

I've been thinking about you and the refinements and how drops are determined and how accurate my method is. I always said having the refinements in place was a good thing even though I am not a crop grower. I want efficient use of the drops until the last day. I'm already brain dead from all these events brainless junks growing so I know it has to be done.

Based upon past brainless growing results posted in this thread, there is a limit! So be it. But no one exploits the drops and that is just what I have been working to exploit all along and it is payoff time. And I'm not worrying neighbors and SOSing for drops either. The farm has refinements but not the wide choice you have earned. I like the availability you have but not being a steady crop grower, I don't like the overload. I like the style though and see it.

Still no need to even glance at patterns and all that. Exploiting the drops forces a farm to decrease the junks crops growing which are worthless anyway. Drop exploitation will enable me to add to the barn which thereby decreases the immediate cost of working the event. Even better, this method will decrease the cost of every single thing achieved through this event. The farm can efficiently play the event until RL puts a stop!

My rhubarb is grown, animals are breeding, and I'm going to put out production pens and some animals too.

Turning to be no effort already. No time for a new farm this time though. hahahahaha

FB ws doing the same thing so I don't think it was the game. shut down her comp several times and walked away. Finally I am back on (shhh son't tell this compxD) hopefully mine will be better when I get home tomorrow:p:p:p Good luck to all attempting this event:D:D

I like Mir's plan for the cloud row, so I guess I'll go for that. (Thanks Mir:inlove:) Will be doing a leisurely approach, though.

Best of luck to all participating!:)

1st level done, earn 8 coins.
    still growing Junk!
since I don't like torn field. Keep mix farming,
Main Farm had only around 2 field used grow 8 hr junk.
Island got full main field plus 1/3 forest grow 4 hr junk.

This event, consider the high qty crop need.
I first time like the word junk to represent event crop!

Got home late last night from a week's camping vacation (in record book rainfall:() to discover the event started today, and I had no time to plan a proper start :wuerg:. Not a huge deal as had pens and trees out, so except for the 1 field of chickens, everything could be left as was for a reasonable drop beginning. Haven't had time to sit and read the wonderful strategies laid out here, so for now just growing and saving drops and crops until have a better idea of what I should do. Knowing me, I'll end up just stumbling my way thru the event like I normally do, lol:p. Hopefully tomorrow will have a chance to sit with a nice big cup of hot coffee and catch up on farm news, for now really enjoying hot running water, warm house, and indoor plumbing:music:xD. Good luck, everyone!

o_Ooh my brain hurts! I decided to read (and in some cases re-read, again and again) this thread but I am still not sure how to proceed. I wasn't going to do it at all at the start ... yeah, right! :sleepy:

I hope I didn't lead anyone astray with the idea that the event started today (it was in my diary and I committed the worst error possible, didn't check the date in the Announcement!). I had already harvested in the morning and had no rush to harvest my animals and trees yesterday as they would have been sitting there till the (anticipated) start today when I realised my error nearly two hours after the event started. First booboo! My drops were pretty mediocre (and in one case miserable!).

Then, when I didn't see anyone more number literate (and that includes most farmers!) than me come forward with the strategy thread, I thought I would give it a go. More misleading info! I can now see quite clearly that my numbers meant nothing as you cannot complete any levels in full! :(
So, firstly, apologies to anyone who took notice of anything I said and please feel free to ignore it completely. :music:

I then decided I would see how far I could get but I had to start the event (eventually) manually. I have a couple of harvester vouchers that I was saving for today - but no need to use them now so one bit of good news! :p

I must admit, I don't like an event where I have no idea exactly what I need (even if I wasn't going to do it!). I will probably follow Mir's lead. Can't get my head round all the combinations. 8)

I have one question ... what would you say the average daily requirement is for drop items? o_O

    Have fun everyone! xD

The word "junks" is travelling the globe. Next stop, the dictionary.

    More on drop exploitation:

    • Many want power feed. Fine. The only way to get during this event is through backpack submission and to mill them drops are needed. Sure the drops will come from event crops.
    • Achieving the pf award primarily from junks crop growth is more than likely a loosing proposition. The reason is because the only thing one will have is the pf which was achieved through worthless event junks.
    • If there is no potential cc producing crops grown in order to get the drops for the pf then one is foregoing future income in order to gamble on a skip. Great skips happen periodically but for the most part the skips are determinable on average believe it or not.
Junks growing is mandatory. From a quick glance at the faqs I can see too many ways to get the cloud row and the givers. They will come anyway.

This farm has just enough of each event junks to fill all five fields. Presently the farm is doing no more junks growing for now. My mainland three fields are active with time refinements used for a high cc crop. BAHA is producing potential cc and barn building long term crops. (Of course these crops will provide drops anyway so I'm taking them. The drops become free as there is no potential cc income foregone in order to get them.)

And by all means, take the few give away ccs available whether one chooses to complete the corresponding row or column or diagonal. It works just like the free daily seed income does. Easy as market to event to bank with little thought (again brainless).

Event junks are 8 and 4 hour. No need for this farm to even use water on junks as RL convenience dictates harvesting. These crops can only be submitted in quantities of 600 or 1200 depending on the junks used. Any junks growth in between 600 and 1200 is most definitely a waste of time because they cannot be submitted at all.

Many focus on the cloud row and givers which is fine. Anyone beginning the event tomorrow should have no trouble completing.

    Good luck!

The ONLY caution I see needed is the order used in submitting the items to any game. Submit haphazardly and one will wind up NOT receiving what was intended for in the beginning as a Bingo game can be completed too quickly with a poor order. This is a major caution and I see nothing else.

The next thing I'll do is make 10 boxes on a sheet of paper that look like this:
