I did Two Lots of Overnight Crops of Glow Berries, since i have All 1 x 1 Template Field. I am able to reap 2886 Junk Crops per Harvest.

On Analysis of Drops of Tents/Thermos Flasks Harvesting All Fields Full of Glow Berries

    1st Harvest = Tents (81), Thermos Flask (51)

    2nd Harvest = Tents (83), Thermos Flask (66)

    Currently Tents = 482, Thermos Flask = 430

During The Day it is Hyacinths in my Fields as Poo already selling at 350 CC and Sold Out

Not to Worry Illy1996, Spotbox Even with a Late Start it you can both get a decent amount of Junk Crops, Drops and Star Coins, At Least to get Miscellaneous Store Buys and Cloud Row as a reminder can get Cloud Row givers at Barter and Gift Event ;)

You make it sound like you grow event crop in order to to get drops. I grow event crops because I need the crops for the event. When I don't need any more event crops I go back to growing "potential cc producing crops". Drops come no matter what I grow, distinguishing between drops dropping from event crops and other crops seems meaningless to me. If one uses super grow to get more drops there is obviously a cost attached, otherwise the drops are free (unless you grow more event crops than you need in order to get drops, but why would anyone do that?).

Yes, there is a cost to growing event crops that one might consider when deciding how much of the event one wants to do. But you can't count that cost twice (both for the crops and the drops), since the drops come no matter what you grow.

Mooboy, I like your drop totals. I also noticed the change in drop rate percentage from that of the initial harvest.

The noobbie farm is poo selling. The broke farm will stop and produce cuckoos for a few hours.

The broke farm is still running even (within 1 of each) on the drops.

Milling was required on previous medium events and there the data was collected by developers. We should be expected to do it.

I will not be surprised for the masses to use in excess of 1,400 of each drop in order to have a decent completion.

I am quite happy with my drop rate so far, not quite in the same line as Mooboy's but within my (newly adjusted) estimated daily/24 hour total at just over the 24 hours since start of the event (for most farmers lol!). :p

    Baby farm has 129/124 Flasks/Tents, Illy has 229/252 Flasks/Tents, Chevrefeuille has a wapping 302/312 Flasks/Tents! :D

I have adjusted the daily average in the SOS thread but it is really dependent on what everyone is going for so, as already said, probably totally useless for this event! xD

Hello Mir. The growing of event crops for drops is exactly what I do not advise. As you say and I agree, the drops will come anyway. Exactly. I see such a hurry to finish growing event crops in order to get the event done. Doing so only winds up with more drops left at the very end of the event. We can all grow junks.

Event junks must be grown .... but to a minimum. Other crops with potential cc value and for some even ev is preferable. I see so often the hurry to finish events only to be growing crops worth nothing in order to get something.

Agree, there is a cost to growing event crops. And I don't recommend anyone paying unnecessarily to do it. And we do. This can be minimized even to the point of use of a partial derivative to do so. (Too much for me to use derivatives just yet.....no need for this farm but I know others who are doing it.)

My simple strategy is to go one step at a time. Approach one by one (that's concentrate on one board at a time) to its utmost. Get 8 coins. I keep an eye on the crop requirements & the reward each lantern gives.

Not yet stated playing fully. Today was my last day of work and from tomorrow we are having a month of summer vacation. Such a work to do yesterday and today!!! Got tired. Tomorrow we are having a one day picnic. So would be out all day tomorrow. Therefore I am taking the event slowly and I don't think it would be so hard to finish. Can be finished easily. Just don't get excited on seeing the unsureness of the event. That's my policy. ;)

Thanks to all who have provided their analysis to helping with this complicated event. After 24 hours of growing crops and looking at the drops, I think I will get around 400 drops per day; 200 tents and 200 flasks. I noticed that Mir's charts were all requiring 160-240 drops for each level and to minimize crop usage to get 8 points for each level, you were maximizing drops needed to complete that level. So I did an analysis to see what I would need if I did the opposite and minimized drops to complete each level. Most of you are trying to minimize crop growing and so will not like this approach as it uses a lot more crops. But some may be interested in comparing the two approaches to see how much the difference is and when they have more crops than drops at any point, they can choose one or two of these levels to gain more points. I will call this the "least drop method" as compared to Mir's "least crop method". :)

some definitions will help to explain my letters and numbers used in the levels:
Row 1 will be boxes 1,2,3,4, row 2 will be boxes 5,6, 7,8 row 3 will be boxes 9,10,11,12 and row 4 will be 13,14,15,16
Col 1 will be boxes 1,5,9,13 col 2 will be boxes 2,6,10, 14 col 3 will be boxes 3,7,11,15 and col 4 will be 4,8,12,16
H will be hyacinth, G will be Glowberry, H1 will mean 1 bundle of 1200 hyancith and G1 will mean 600 glowberries
F will be flasks, T will be tents, backpacks will be stated in terms of 20 flasks and 20 tents

    Level 1
    Row 1, Col 4, diagonal 13,10,7 4 requires 40T, 40F, H2 and G3; so 40 tents, 40 flasks, 2400 hyac and 1800 glow

    Level 2
    Row 2, Col 3, diagonal 13, 10,7,4 requires 40T, 40F, H2 and G3

    Level 3
    Row 1, Col 4, diagonal 13, 10,7,4 requires 60T, 60F, H3 and G3

    Level 4
    Row 1, Col 4, diagonal 13,10,7, 4 requires 20T, 60F, H2 and G2

    Level 5
    Row 1, Col 1, diagonal 1, 6, 11,16 requires 60T, 20F, H3 and G2

    Level 6
    Row 3, Col 3, diagonal 1, 6, 11,16 requires 60T, 20F, H2 and G3

    Level 7
    Row 2, Col 3, diagonal 13,10, 7, 4 requires 0T, 80F, H3 and G2

    Level 8
    Row 4, Col 4, diagonal 1, 6,11, 16 requires 60T, 20F, H3 and G3

    Level 9
    Row 2, Col 2, diagonal 1, 6,11, 16 requires 60T, 60F, H1 and G2

    Level 10
    Row 2, Col 2, diagonal 1, 6,11, 16 requires 40T 40F, H3 and G2

    Totals 440T, 440 F, H 24 and G 25

Summary: Using this method for all levels needs less than 50% of the drops; 880 compared to approximately 2000 of the least crop method, but needs 60% more crops; 49 boxes of crops compared to approximately 30 boxes for the least crop method. So only pick and choose which levels to use when you have more crops and are limited by drops. Levels 3 and 8 require too many crops to use. Level 9 is the best(least crops) and level 4 is second best for lowest crops.

If someone is interested enough to put this in chart form, I would appreciate it as I am chart handicapped, lol. If anyone finds mistakes, please let me know as there is room for lots of errors with this much analysis. Good luck to all and may the drops be ever in your favor. :)

Edit: thanks tpabird for catching my error and sorry if it caused you to lose anything on that level. I had picked the wrong column and it is now corrected for level 6. No change to drop totals or the crop totals. thanks again and good luck

Sorry Sir Broke, but couldn't help myself... that one made me spit soda out my nose (especially thinking back on our convos about your field(s) of stanky chickens!).
Thanks for the soda spitting giggle Mr Grumpy lol:p

Thank you MIR and LilAbner for doing all these calculations. This one makes my head hurt trying to figure how to get the 8star coins and making sure I don't hit the final box before everything else is done. Unless I am mistaken, which at this point I probably am, I believe that LilAbner's Level 6 does not allow for getting 8 star coins. I do not see a common block that intersects all three tic-tac-toes.

We all have choices to some degree. You have the choice whether to read my posts and I see your choice is clear.

As you have been handled clearly before, WE can do a TOP 2 just us during the next TOP 1000 if you see need to be handled again. I can come up with a baby farm I feel will handle you and I'll let a neighborhood kid play it. Whenever you're ready, don't play with me or get some qualifications in order to do so.

You can bet I don't "need to farm for poop" but what I choose to do is up to me to some degree. I also choose to demonstrate that I can behave brainlessly civilized with you in an open forum. You might try it to demonstrate your own self respect.

"Full of it" I am and to a degree unimaginable by you. Now bring me something of substance if you wish to continue.

There is no need for any of us to tolerate a personal attack from anyone by any of us in this forum. I feel those participating in the forum have done quite well lately and this is noticeable. I will venture further to say that at this time, the EN Forum is the absolute best that it has ever been.

To passively tolerate a personal attack is destructive to all here, the attack has been brainlessly strategically addressed openly again, and I choose not to participate in that destruction --- win or loose.

I'm finished with the matter unless Jools wishes to compete with me further. This whole matter is inappropriate and from this point further such acts by Jools will be taken to "report" and those responsible for maintaining civility in the forum can deal with the issue if they choose.

Now I need to harvest my farm. I had a RL issue with a request from my daughter today. I love her very much and I don't know what it would take for something or someone to take my dedication to her and from her; certainly not this game. My choice took almost five hours of production time away from my farm. This is a time management game and the production time lost toward this event cannot be recouped, ever.

We are all faced with RL changes and these changes do have effects on events. I'll attempt to detail the cost of a RL change on this farm. I can start with the loss of being able to produce over 2500 additional event crops.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold your horsies here! I leave for a week and come back to dissension amongst the family:oops:? And between two of my favoritist farmers, no less:(? Children, children, the sand box is big enough for everyone, and one sandcastle is just as beautiful as the other, diversity and differences is what makes it such a lovely playground after all;). As was mentioned in the previous post, after a rough stretch last year, the forum has been a wonderful, fun place the last 5 months or so, no need to revert to the bad old times. So here's a lollipop for each of you, and one for all the other fabulous farmers here as well, let's all shake paws and start fresh. You don't want to make a grown spots:cry:, now do you?o_O:wuerg:xD

(broke, family always comes first, no choice to it ♥. Knowing you, you'll find a way to make up for any lost time:music:. Hope all is well with your daughter.)

Excellent strategies, this is a wonderful forum. I think it is worth noting that you get the prize for the individual lanterns as soon as you light them, so my plan is to light all of the crop and animal deals, e.g. 5 apples for $1000 ccs, provided they don't interfere with a maximized bingo for the level. I am looking over Farmer Broke's earlier post (#48 with keen attention, about breeding outside of Baby Boom and now will also consider turning in the 1st level bred animals (sitting in my barn) for a mystery stable or tree, regardless of the bingo path I will use to advance at those levels. You know it is a wise investment with a Broke endorsement! I plan to fight my FOCD and carefully calculate the best paths after a few days of drop collection. If I find that I'm unbalanced with tents or flasks, I'll adjust my path to balance the drops, and progress further with less effort. Thank you so much to all the wonderful folks who created charts and described their purposes and advantages - I will definitely be using them!

Does anyone feel strongly about which drop to send to friends and neighbors, tent or flask? My drop collection has been back and forth, mostly even, but now I'm just slightly ahead on flasks.

This farms drops from growing are now within 2 of one another. (The farm has received 6 gifts from neighbor and friends. They have all been tents for whatever the reason. If I include those 6 gifts in the total then my tents are ahead.) From the very beginning the growth drop rate has been nearly even.

I don't know the expected use of either by those I gift can gift to. One farm may use more of one than another.

You mention the what I label free giveaways (although not so free.)

My strategy is to make maximum use of the drops which come anyway. So with the "free giveaways" I am going to play a game with myself called: Would I be willing to trade this for that? Right off if the answer is NO then I will not add it to the possible lines or rows or columns.

If someone were to ask which I prefer then my answer would be: up to you. I only have a single sheet with 10 games and each with a total of 16 boxes.

Would I give a breeding animal for a wonder stable? or a breeding animal or product for a tree? I'll watch for the results of farmers who post what they receive and have some idea whether donating them would hold a decent chance of receiving something remotely useful. But of course even then the farm may be forced to do something ..... like grow junks and mill.

I really can't see where it matters which drop you give unless you know the preference. I'll just give what I receive and hope that is what is signaled they want. All others I will just give from my heart and be done.

Hope this makes sense but my strategy is a gradually developing final determination which is unlike most I have seen here so far. No donation of any kind will be made until the very last day as close to the end of the event as RL permits. And no milling will be done until the last hours. More decisions develop as obviously fixed until later in the event.

Aetheria - I am dead even with tents & flasks. But I have such wonderful & generous friends & neighbors and they have been gifting me tents. So then I guess...I have received as official drops less flasks.

    farmer_broke - I too support family first!:inlove: I'm sure you are a fantastic Father...very supportive & loving.
No worries about missing a harvest. I also missed a harvest...but not for such a noble cause as yours. I went shopping!:wuerg:xD LOL

I'm just plugging along growing the "junks".:sleepy: As of now, we have 4.4 days left. With the 100% EP bonus we all won...I decided to take 1 of my islands and put out all my neon horsie, pig & turkey deco's and some other high EP generators.:p Once I have a giant mound of event crops...I will go back in this thread and follow our smart players' layout of bingo scheme.

p.s. oops broke you & I were typing at the same time.

Thank you Farmer Broke, giving what you are sent is a great predictor of what your neighbors might need. I had not thought about the mystery stables being predictable, but now that you mention it, from posts on this forum some editions have results that are much better than others.

Thank you Brookeham, I too have received more tents than flasks. I was wondering if I had missed some piece of this lovely logic puzzle, and more tents might be needed.

I decided to start with gifting tents for a full round of my neighbors, then gift thermos flasks. I might go back to tents for the next rotation round, but seems like the thermos flasks are a little less frequent for a lot of farms.

As for which drops fall best for my farms... I think I am a little shorter on thermos flasks too.

My brain is beyond numb from growing junks. I need to stop buying poo>:(... I went a little silly thru the MM and I've used up all the discretionary wiggle room in my CC purse:wuerg:

Oh, how I hate myself right now -.-
Finished the crop growing late last night needed for the pf with only 1 surplus of glow berries and a few more of the other. And now to light those darn lanterns - sitting with my piece of paper with all the lanterns written down that I need to light. And what do I do? Yup just lit the wrong lantern! [IMG] and now I cannot make 3 lines and get 8 star coins!
Back to junk growing again and my farm is full of animals and trees! I know I have plenty of time, but this is so annoying! I hope at least you can have a good laugh about it, so it wasn't for just nothing :p
