My event progress: Collected all the drops needed but still lacking a few thousand crops due to busy RL and the forgotten CAC... Currently at level 9.

Was out of town for part of the weekend, so got slowed down some. At level 7, with high hopes for a cloud row soon.
Congrats to those finished and best of luck to those still at it!

 

I have finished and got the cloud row and all givers.
Now I'm just working on the extras.

I finished this morning and CR has been up and running. Could have done it yesterday but I kept going through my selections to try and make sure I had most efficient with certain rewards I wanted. A BIG Thank You to Mir and LilAbner for their charts I was thinking once you completed it, you could pick which levels you wanted to do again but I'm thinking I was wrong. Off to go check which way will get me those stables Don't know about anyone else but I am getting a collection of papers to refer to

 

Add me to the list of knights who say "doh!" (sorry, it's a throwback to my college days, when Monty Python was big - knights who say "nee!", lol). Despite my best efforts, I got in a hurry last night while donating to level 9 and missed one of the lanterns, so missed out on 4 coins. On the bright side, it convinced me to take my time and be absopositively certain I'm lit in all the right places before hitting that ok button. Need just 6 more coins to get CR and givers, then a little extra growing to secure the PF and harvester coupon, and I'm all done.

I would've loved this Event if I had the time, such strategy involved! But between family passing, dog being in hospital and neighbouring house burning down it's all a bit much.

I love my farm I have done since 2010 since the beginning, level 98 on main farm and 295 on baha. I cried with excitement when the tree of wisdom was grown, I love the changes & developments....but I am sadly growing bored of events where to complete them I am having to plant fields and fields and fields of the same crops over and over and over again, I would love to see more of the existing crops and products we have be part of the challenges not just something to sell on the market or as part of fulfilling sales. For this event our lovely little glow worms would have loved a day or 2 in the "glowlight" I loved the carnival queen and the fishing events but I miss parts of the old Farmerama in 2010... Please don't be cross with me x

 

Well suffice to say, It is with no great shock that I made a mistake on my very first lantern. This won't stop me, though and I trudged forward with Mir suggestions and I am now on level 8 with 52 coins. I probably have no hope of finishing this event, but I won't let that stop me from trying. I will do what I can. Congratulations to all who have already finished!

 

Definitely no hurry hurry. With 36 hours left the sun sets, rises, sets again. A few little market pockets too. Keep fields active, force drop use, and these events are little effort. Hope they make um real hard. I'll begin taking rewards to my heart is content. No hurry hurry!

 

Amazing! I got the CR & the PF and there is still time to get an EP giver or 2. I definitely don't need stars. I have 2533 lying around unused and useless already. HeHeHe

I am torn about this event. I LOVE a challenge, but I want good rewards when I have meet the challenge.

Sammi - I too have been here from the beginning. I think the reason that BP does these endless crop growing events opposed to what is in are barns is because too many of us are hoarders. If they had an event that was just stuff from my barn, then I would finish in 5 minutes (which I have done in the past) and start complaining about it being too easy.

I do think BP is smart by making us grow event crops, but ee-gads, how BORING it gets!!!!!!

I know me and how stupid I can get sometimes so I had to check and recheck to make sure I had the right pattern before donating to the last square. I am sorry that some of my friends had gremlins make them donate to the wrong squares.

Well color me blonde and call me Brittany, 'cause oops, I did it again, here on bearbabe this time. Donated 1200 hyacinths...to the wrong block. Didn't I say something about learning from my mistakes?

 

I see no problem with some of the designs of suggested patterns, there are many possibilities. But where I do see a problem is all the hurry hurry to finish finish finish. In some of the patterns presented, the power feed is not taken. The pf is received from milling the drops into the backpack and submitting.

Say you don't do it and finish the event days before it ends and one goes back to regular farming. The drops continue, continue! And the person finished with the event cannot go back and mill and submit it. The pf is there AND there is a breeding event soon. So either take it now, mill it, or buy it! For many it is too late.

This farm will finish efficiently. Notice that the drop items are submitted in lots of 40 and the junks are submitted in multiples of 600. Ideally I will strive for less than 20 of each drop remaining for reimbursement and -0- junks crops. The most I'll have to do with junks is grow a few more to round up to 600 and dump them in the last Bingo that I will have no intention whatsoever of finishing.

With 31 hours left, this farm desires more drops and the drops are going to come from a potential cc generating crop as the drops will come anyway (CAC is still running). No shortage of event crops and no hurry hurry.

The simple idea behind the exploiting drops strategy is that there is no need to hurry hurry as drops will fall anyway. We know to keep fields active so why not get the most from the drops that we have prepared to get and hurry hurry for nothing. There is no reward in the hurry hurry, only missed opportunity. The only additional requirement is self-control.

I have a tab opened with your chart(always) & FAQ in another tab (always) and every time I harvest, I come to see if I can get the most beneficial combination. Very helpful.

3/4th of the event finished. I try to unlock some lanterns which give some good rewards that can be bought only using BBs, even if they are not in the combination and then finish the combination. Trying to maximize the rewards. But feel sick of growing, growing, growing....... event crops. Very dull and sickly.
