Firefly Jamboree Strategy

Pups: I have made so many errors during this event despite all the help given by everyone here. I just tried to do things too quickly with the limited time I had - now I have two days off and realise how simple it could have been if I had thought things through.

Mir: Thank you so much for your charts - I actually did understand them so why did I still light the wrong lanterns lol! I used a combination of your charts and the event "hint" - I found yours gave the chance of more star coins. You really worked hard with those charts and gave us all a great helping hand!

Sammi72/Spots alias Bearbabe/Sglick: I too have been around since practically the beginning and have recently seriously thought about not participating in events (seriously thought but not actually putting that thought into action or should that be non-action! ). Then I think, well why do I keep farming? It's exactly for the events, the FSQs, the hoarding of stuff just to throw at an event that probably will give me less in CC/EP value than I am giving. That's not entirely true - I mainly keep going cos this is such a fantastic game with so many wonderful farmer friends that they are what stops me hanging up my pitchfork when I plant yet another field (manually at the moment!) of pretty flowers that will disappear within a few days!

Sglick: Good to see you here ... long time no see! I do agree with you that we farmers never seem to be totally happy with events: too: hard/easy/complicated/demanding/much work* delete as applicable!

Hatzeva: What can I say? What a terrible time you are going through. Hope your dog is progressing well, that there was nobody hurt in the house fire and that the damage wasn't too bad. My thoughts go out to you and yours.

Back to topic. Chevrefeuille is the happy owner of the CR and all its contents, this farm is just four star coins away and baby farm is just playing about with little chance to get more than the CR, maybe the PF and perhaps the Harvester. Who knows? Will probably leave it till the last minute to decide.

 

Far from finished (and on my way to work) but wondering what the best use of my coins is. Should I get the CR and hope to finish filling it from a future G&T, or should I just go for EP givers. (I've already bought one giver, and currently have 20 more coins to spend)?

Any and all opinions welcome, thank you! I'll check back this evening.

Buy the cloud row first and then you can go for the items. I am sure since the items are several time purchasable many would have got more than one of it.

Wait for more opinions to come and then decide for yourself. If I had bought several of the items I might have offered one as a gift to you. But I am still struggling to finish the last item. If I get an extra one I will let you know.

My second farm is in the same condition and it has not made any great progress. Made lot of silly mistake in combinations. In this farm I made the mistake only once and so saved. But don't worry you might make it up

 

totally agree growing time for this kinds event crops a way to long shut have at the most 5or 6 hours for the long time crops
but he it is finishble if you try

 

I just completed lv 24 and have managed to get 2 Tobago trees, 3 Ural trees and 4 stables, the extra PF, 24 hr coupon, and an extra "Lights Out". Still have 17 coins left so the "Overture" will be the next purchase. My drops were neck and neck before I started donating. Now I seem to be getting more tents than flasks.

Sglick, So great to see you. You know we can never be happy it's either to easy or to many crops. I love a challenge but gosh this one has been boring.
Thanks to Mir's wonderful chart I was able to get everything I wanted. But since (as FarmerBroke said) I have so many extra drops I have one field growing Hyacinth and am going back turning in backpacks/drops, just picking up some extra goodies.

After working hard to get 8 coins on each panel, I finally decided to change my strategy. I'm not after the CR so I'm doing the minimum to advance to the new panel where I go for the stables, trees, party tickets and PF. I'll decide what to do with my coins late today.

 

I got a red mouse and a orange goose
for the wonder stables.

I am down to the wire. Whether I finish will depend on if I get up in time to make that last harvest or not. If I don't, it will be the first time in a long while I have not finished an event. I am getting the givers first and then the cloud row last, just because having an empty cloud row is more irritating to me than missing out on it. Ah well... its real life time, I guess.

Event finished with 5 of each seed remaining and less than 20 of each drop. Stables were all owl upgrades! Event strategy worked well and earned everything I could out of this event and have no regrets. Only items I did not produce during the event were the products used but there was time to do so.

Farm is back to normal.

And flat broke with exactly -0- ccs. Flat broke again! Been a long time.

 

I am now on level 11 with 76 coins earned.... Oh my goodness and 12 hours to go and its pretty much my bedtime...... Went to bed, got up and I proceeded to level 12 and earned enough coins 84 to get the cloud row .... and boom - I have completed what I wanted to accomplish. Not too much time to spare and was the cloud row really worth all this effort? Oh my, I think my time could have been used elsewhere, but I do love joining in on the fun!

 

Here the farm converted and many stables put out the rain forest full of XXL trees plantation 4x toekan
pink, panda, kamel and monkey the rest crops
magical glade all pink and neon stables trees to fill in empty spots
green field wonder stables main field a few swans 2 x otters rest crops

wonder stables 1x swan turttle and two oranges stables
tree 1 black willow rest dont know
3x tiki have to wait another 3 hours

my conclusion : very difficult event and not feasible for everyone

 

I finished too. Got CR & items + 40 powerfeeds + harvest coupon. Didn't even turn my attention to classics. But I got all the supergrows, powerfeeds, wonder stables& trees, Suzy's supergrow and if possible CCs.

My other 2 farms got 40 powerfeeds + harvest coupon each and a giver item in one of the farms.

 

Despite and absolutely insane day at work (getting home very late), I managed to finish the CR and givers. Sadly, just missed out by one harvest to have enough for coupon/PF. Oh well, such is life!

BW finishes with cloud row, EP givers and one extra giver for the park (still not full even on level 92). Needed 4 star coins for the PF which is the exact number of coins left on pnp.

I don't like cutting it this close even though broke said not to hurry. I don't normally finish events at the last hour, but I didn't rip the farm completely apart and I made several goof ups.

Thanks to all for contributing to the strategy and for the encouragement to stay the course. I'm pleased with the outcome.

 

Well, I did get up and finish. Now on to regular farming for a while.

 

I got an extra "Fireflyogy" and I am left with 2 starcoins. Should I get the sticker?
