New Baby reindeer to my herd

Yay for Twiglet and her beautiful baby! It is so light compared to Thor. You are one busy lady! At least you only have one to go (I think) fingers crossed all goes well! I am glad Mischa is being more motherly, I think that is who you meant, so hopefully less stress on you and hubby!

 

Good to know that Katya is feeling more motherly again! That should make your being away just a bit less stressful. Also good to see another has made it's appearance! Twiglet is trying to reduce your stress as well.

 

Oh he/she is beautiful and so much lighter than Thor. Looks more like Monty and Twiglet. Congratulations on #2

 

(Excuse my previous post error - me mixing up my girls names, naughty mummy but I was stressed - I've changed it now!)
Baby girl is a lot stronger this evening and feeding well. Had hubby a little stressed this morning.


It's a girl!!! Weighing in at 4.8kg, just under 11 lbs.
I maybe a little biased but she has got some very pretty markings. Her head seems to be mainly white but with a grey blaze (odd way round), she has a few small black dots on her nose and around her eyes, one black kneecap and a few random brown spots on a pale grey body...
She was a worry at 6am (me on duty) but by noon she was feeding well and even having a little frolic (hubby on duty from 10am until 4pm & was very close to blasting through gates and banging doors down to fetch me.. No mobile signal where I was working as very thick stone walls in the middle of nowhere but only 1/4 mile from reindeer) by 4pm I was back and she is doing really well.. A little stunner

 

Oh my BoHoKaren, a stunner indeed! She is Soooo beautiful and "we" get to love her longer as she is a keeper right?! All I have to say is you and your husband are an amazing couple! Congrats on your newest member to the herdand I hope all the moms and babies are doing well!

She's a keeper... No orders for girls and I want to keep girls too...
I had a very "odd" time this morning when I found her at 6am she had been born a couple of hours before... but she wasn't a surprise (her face, looks etc) , really strange I felt I had already met her (whether I had dreamed about her or whether she reminds me of someone else, I don't know but the name Lexi came to me immediately... BUT I am not naming her yet. I need 48 hours to know if it fits... but strangely that came to mind immediately... Odd!

 

Wow, I hate when that happens! It just puts you off a little, BUT the name Lexi, if that is what you choose to name her. It is a lovely name for a lovely little girl!

 

Not forgetting my little boy Thor, his 1 week birthday today and despite only being born a few ounces heavier than my new baby girl has grown so fast he makes her seem so tiny...

PS. Katya I am sure will "pop" tomorrow... what colour, sex etc... not sure, but she is now huge.. I am starting work at 8 am but will obviously check them all about 5am UK time. If anyone could post a comment as to be honest I won't have time to check so might get knuckles wrapped for double posting if I have more exciting news...

Ha ha now that is a little boy for you! Amazing he is 1 week already Happy 1st week of life little Thor!

 

Oh, Karen, how beautiful they are!!! A perfect pair, too....a dark little boy, and a light little girl - one each!! Sooooooo beautiful!! Thor and..Lexi?? Love it!

 

I'm loving all the baby news!!! Happy 1st week B-day Thor!!!! Welcome to the world little girl (possibly Lexi).

 

Still no baby from Katya - can't believe it, she's gone beyond pear shaped, almost pendulous!

Thor and Lexi doing wonderfully but a couple of very warm days have been a worry. Saturday, it got up to 24oC (75oF) but 10 miles away they had a warm day then hail stones! Very odd weather.

Thought I would share a couple of photo's today of last years babies. Lotte playing "King of the Castle" and Hector's "Big Boy" antlers now starting to grow.

I have taken a video of baby Lexi trotting around but it was very early AM and usually my camera gets the lighting wrong so I'll check to see if it's worth posting first.

 

Ok NOW I am starting to worry for Katya!!! The poor thing looks huge I hope everything is alright! Can never get enough pics of Hector and looking forward to more of Thor and Lexi!

More news and "Hot Off the Press".

Katya had a little bull calf about an hour ago, the split of Thor even down to his weight. These two may need collars on them until I recognise who is who as I don't like to ear tag until they are a lot older! He seems healthy and has already wobbled on his feet several times and found the feed bar.

Yay I am SOOO happy Katya has given birth and all is well! aw twin brothers by TWO different mothers! Not to confuse anyone they just look alike no real twins here!! You have made my day I have kept coming to check if there was any news in between doing some Spring cleaning! This is much more fun! Congrats Karen and I am sure you are relieved! Question will this little boy go to the same place Thor is going?

(Can hardly believe how beautiful 'Lexi'? is....she will certainly give Hector a run for his money!! In an entirely different way, of course...) The 'guys' are just as gorgeous! (Thor with his tongue sticking out really gave me a giggle!! Such a cutie!!)
