Oh Boy been too busy working out how to get Best out of this Event in terms of Prizes. Here is List what i managed to Achieved, but did not do poo farming or normal farming. As it is not harm to give this a miss so that i am able to get many prizes as i could.

I unfortunately didn't finish on either farm I am missing 1 giver on each farm oh well cant win them all ( you can win some of them some of the time but you cant win all of them all of the time ) lol I think that's how it goes

But, idiot that I am having the cheat sheets right in front of me, I still managed to muff up some of the diagrams, so I was unable to get as many extras out of it as I could have.

 

made it to level 19 , drops weren't too bad
donated the wrong rows several times, as I kept forgetting Mir's wonderful charts were for 2 different levels at a time , so probably wasn't as economical with donations as I should have been. But think I only messed up the lanterns once and failed to get the full 8 coins.
Got some extra EP givers so hope they are tradeable next G&T
only had a few crops & drops left over at the end - unusual for me as I normally grow thousands too many junks

No, idle time does not reduce the drops from what is waiting to be harvested. During an event idle time means you don't generate any more drops in that period of time. But if the idle time comes before event start it doesn't affect the event drops.

Carnation on comfort fields would be better than any stable with less than 38hr base time.

Depends on the drop rate. With a very low drop rate comfort fields with carnation is better, because they have a longer base time. But you are limited to 1 event drop per 2x2 plot, so with a higher drop rate you'll do better with trees or 1x1 plots. Unfortunately we don't know the drop rate before an event starts. I stick with trees or 1x1 plots.

If the base pen takes longer than the upgrade, then yes. But for stables it is usually only the yellow upgrade that takes shorter time than the base.

Longer time means higer chance of drops, so orange stable upgrades give better drops. (For chopsticks, orange pens take shorter time since it is a workshop.)
