pets and or your farm animal

Thank you spots Yes, Katie is Chihuahua and Dachshund. She was the last of the litter and Mom and daughter found her at a roadside produce stand. She was free and Mom brought her home and I promptly fell head over heals in love with her. That was in 2005 so she is now getting to be a 'little ol' lady' although she doesn't act like one.

Popcorn was a stray in our little town. We think she was dumped here as we could not find anyone who had ever seen her. We thought she might just have gotten loose (out of someone's yard) but could find no owner. She followed hubby home while he was out walking and she has been here ever since. We think she is a Beagle -Jack Russel mix. Her heart belongs to hubby but she is friendly to all. I call her my 'brown eyed girl'.

Ι don't have any pets Marlymar. The only animals I ever had were fish and a rabbit. Both of them were not my pets for a long timeLet's just say I overfeeded the fish and the rabbit was eaten by a snake or a bird when I left it free one night in my garden

P.S I was very young in both cases.

please say prayers and send good vibes our way for our sweet Maya the bigger of the 2 girls her dew claw has cracked up near the base and she is in a little pain we cleaned it up and put antibiotics on it then wrapped it hopefully we can get it fixed asap

Sorry to hear your girl is hurting. Maybe the vet can remove the dew claw for you? Cam's breeder had removed the dew claws from all Cam's litter before we got him, but one grew back and it was crooked and stuck out at an angle. Since he's supposed to be a hunting dog, we were worried about it getting caught on something and tearing, so we had our vet remove it when he was about 3. I was right there when the vet did it, and Cam didn't seem to be particularly hurting when he woke up, and recovered fine. Funny how much their being sick or hurt affects us emotionally.

update... Maya is doing well her claw just fell off keeping it cleaned and wrapped with antibiotics thanks for all the well wishes and prayers they worked

Great news flwrs. When I had Rooster spayed I got her dew claws removed because she kept catching them on everything, Storm's and Willow's the breeder removed, so end of potential problems with them.

 

My Red Headed Amazon Parrot...his name is Taco, he's 22 years old (I bought him at 6 mo)...yes he talks. a lot!

Funny, I watched a program yesterday about a woman, Irene Pepperberg, and her amazingly clever parrot called Alex. Never knew parrots had such wonderful personalities.

 

Taco has very beautiful colors I didn't know parrots could be that old!
