DBAYES - Taco is gorgeous!!! How many words does he speak? Tell us more please. I've never known anyone who has owned a parrot that long.

 

Thanks, most Parrots can out live a human if treated right and a good healthy diet, I feed Taco a combination of seed and nuts (his favorite are raw sunflower seeds) fruit, bananas, grapes, apples, oranges and you might not believe this but, he eats Chicken, boiled eggs, Cheddar cheese, Bush's baked beans, unsalted crackers and pretzels, LOL!
He says, Come on (when he's hungry), hello taco taco taco, shut-up and be quiet (when he's squaking too loud)! He pretends to talk on the phone in a real low voice (can't understand a word he saying...LOL) If I laugh he laughs...he's very interactive.

Your fine feathered friend sounds fun! I hope he lives a very long time for you and perhaps someone you love and trust.

this was my Sadie she died 2 yrs ago she was an awesome baby she was 18 yrs old I miss her ALOT

 

These are my little buddies, Lucky the maltipoo 8 lbs he is 7 yrs old, and Little Lew is the cream apricot toy poodle, he is 10 lbs and he is 13 yrs old today. Both are rescues, Lucky came to me at the age of 3 unneutered, Lewey at the age of 3 unneurtered. Both were neutered, lucky had ticks on his body that were removed. Both were not potty trained, and had hidden personalities. Lucky was so fearful, it took two years to see him blossom into a confident happy dog. Lew was a character highly intelligent dog to begin with, easy to train. He has big eyes that are like a baby seal, all googly. He is always in your moment, like if you are fixing the kitchen sink he wants to sniff the new plumbing parts, he is so curious and brave. He coos when you cuddle him, he is so human like.
They like all dogs and all people. They are so calm and settled, yet happy and fun. They never bark unless its the fox, coyote or squirrel, ferral cat or racoon in our yard. They do not really bark at strangers or people in general, they are both well behaved great dogs. I used positive reinforcement and praise training with them to get them to this point. They always potty outside even if its raining, let me brush their teeth and are not jealous of each other, both are boys and they get along just great. They both have great personalities that continue to only get better, they both are such little sponges, always learning. They rarely growl or bite even if afraid, unless its during play and even then its so gentle.
Lucky has a grey stuffed mouse (ty beaniebaby made dog toy when they made dog toys) he carries to bed with him, and retrieves and carries to his favorite bay window seat first thing in the morning. I have one in reserve when he wears this one out. Goodness we have to look for his mouse, or he won't go to bed without it. They love to eat white meat chicken, carrots and green beans. I am so blessed to have them in my life, they are such little loving doggies.
