FAQ The Perfect Pea

Important aspects of the game:

1. There are 11 different seeds. Only 4 base seeds will be available at the start of the event. Other seeds will not be available at the start of the event.
2. Pea Dispensers for the next 7 seeds. They are given as rewards from the Event Quest.
   
3. Every seed requires 6 hours to grow.
4. No drop items.
5. Both crops & Pea Dispenser can be planted only on main lands - main farm, magical glade and green meadow
6. Bahamarama cannot be used for planting crops or Pea Dispensers
7. No milling required

Mechanism of the game :

• You will get 10 seeds for each of the base/basic seeds.
  • • small pea
    • large pea
    • green pea
    • red pea

• Begin by planting these 4 seeds and multiplying them.
• The event quest gives you the remaining 7 types of seeds.
• Deposit these 4 basic seeds in the required numbers in the event quest and you will get 7 types of Pea Dispenser that gives you the remaining 7 types of seeds (herein after referred as secondary seeds for convenience sake).
• Some secondary seeds are given as rewards in the event quest.
• Each Pea Dispenser produces a different seed and gives us only 3 seeds every 2 hours. We have to plant and grow them and deposit them to complete the quest.
• 4 Basic/Base Event crops will be replenished to 5 if your crop number goes below 5.
• 7 secondary seeds will not be replenished if you reach 0. Instead you can get 3 of them from the dispenser every 2 hours.
• 7 different dispensers, one for each seed. They are:
  • • Big Green Pea Dispenser
    • Big Red Pea Dispenser
    • SmallPea Dispenser
    • Small Red Pea Dispenser
    • Big Yellow Pea Dispenser
    • Small Yellow Pea Dispenser
    • Yellow Pea Dispenser
• The dispensers occupy 1 x1 space

How to obtain the secondary seeds:

• Each of the first 7 Levels of the event quest gives you a specific secondary seeds and its corresponding dispenser.
• Finishing silver task gives you 1 seed
• Finishing gold task gives you 2 seeds.
• Diamond task gives you the dispenser.

Crop Requirements:

• 400 Green peas
• 400 Big peas
• 400 Red Peas
• 400 small peas
• 450 Big green peas
• 450 Big red peas
• 450 small green peas
• 450 small red Peas
• 950 small yellow peas
• 950 Big yellow peas
• 3250 yellow peas

For those who find the FAQ and strategy thread confusing :-

You will be given 4 sets of seeds. Grow them and do the event & as reward you will get the remaining 7 sets of seeds. Grow them and deposit to get the remaining rewards.

Along with the 7 sets of seeds you will get their corresponding pea dispenser. The Pea Dispenser gives you 3 seeds every 2 hours. So you will not run out of them.

For 4 sets of seeds, you will get replenished to 5, if your number of seeds drops below 0. This is not the case with the 7 sets of seeds as you have pea dispenser to replenish your 7 sets of seeds.

I think I'm missing something here. In the Perfect Pea FAQ's it says you can earn up to a total of 2 of each dispenser. I can see where your get one of the dispensers in the Diamond of levels 1-7. Are we assuming the Silver level when it gives 1 xx pea (level 1 silver 1 Big green pea) is giving a dispenser and not a seed?

 

Looks like the Yellow Pea dispenser is the one to aim for as fast as I can considering the numbers required.

 

Oh great, an event crop that can't even be planted in Baha fields. Grrrr. (On one hand, I understand, since of course peas are cool crops. Maybe they should have had us breed for a heat pea at the end that COULD be Baha grown?) Stars and wonder items really nice, no doubt, but really not liking this one. I have a lot of family based stuff to do for Memorial Day weekend. I'm not going to have a lot of time to sit on peas.

 

Yay for a new mechanism? Well, this one seems straight forward with no strategy involved. We need to do the quest in order. If you wish to get the Cloud Row and its 3 givers, there's NO WAY to differ the task ahead. I guess Mendel knew what he was up to. So here's the simple chart:

Level 1 (S) gives you Big Green Pea - needed for level 5
Level 2 (S) gives you Big Red Pea - needed for level 5

Level 3 (S) gives you Small Green Pea - needed for level 6
Level 4 (S) gives you Small Red Pea - needed for level 6

Level 1-4 Gold and Diamond are optional - see edit below.

Level 5 (S,G,D*) gives you Big Yellow Pea - needed for level 7 *rewards EP giver 1
Level 6 (S,G,D*) gives you Small Yellow Pea - needed for level 7 *rewards EP giver 2

Level 7 (S,G,D*) gives you Yellow Pea - needed for level 8 *rewards CR

Level 8 (S,G,D*) *rewards EP giver 3

There's only ONE set of givers to obtain and you'll have to do all of level 5-8 to get those!

Note:
Level 1-4 can be worked on simultaniously, Only basic peas needed.
Finishing level 1 (Silver) and 2 (Silver) allows you to start level 5
Finishing level 3 (Silver) and 4 (Silver) allows you to start level 6
Level 5 & 6 can be worked on simultaniously. Peas rewarded in level 1-4 are needed.
Finishing level 5 (Silver) and 6 (Silver) allows you to start level 7. Peas rewarded in level 5-6 are needed.
Finishing level 7 (Silver) allows you to start level 8.
Finishing level 8 allows you a pat on the back and a big happy smile.

Gold and Diamond level 1-4 rewarding extra seeds and dispensers are not needed. You can start growing the single (silver level) and if you wish the double (gold level) seeds rewarded and go from there. Just make sure not to get to zero seeds prior to finishing level 5-6 because then you'll need the dispenser afterall. Again, to get the CR and the set of givers you'll need to do all of level 5-8 (S,G,D)

No really big numbers of peas needed except for the yellow peas. My current plan is to get the silvers done first and nuke the single seed of each of the non replenished seeds to get to level 7 as soon as possible. Need those yellow peas! I will then work on the gold/platinum steps of previous levels. Also will work on MM stuff that starts tomorrow as well! Going to be busy!

 

are you sure? do you actually need the dispensers? If you grow the 3 prize peas quick enough then are the dispensers going to help much.
the dispenser will give 3 peas in 2hrs, 9 in 6hrs. growing 1 2x2 plot with suzy will give 7 peas in the same time, about 2.5hrs if you nuke it. Also you need to be around every 2hrs to harvest it, it doesn't accumulate if you don't harvest for 6 hrs.

It is really only needed as a safety guard, if you don't all your reward peas by accident, you ain't going to get any more

 

Sound like a good plan Noelle. Doing the lvl 1-4 silver and nuking the single seed you get from it. It might be a bit more expensive (SSG, SG, buffs) thou.
I think, because of the low number of seeds requiered up to level 7, it's easier and faster to complete to diamond level in one run, having the dispenser at work asap.

I have to agree diamond level up to level 4, rewarding dispensers, can be skipped. At a cost.

I only nuke seeds on 2x2s so my plan looks to use about 100 SG and 100 SSG before switching to 1x1s. Maybe a few more on the Yellow Peas as we need the most of those. I will still work on the gold/diamond steps but just not as the highest priority except for the yellow peas and CR. I will work on levels where the giver items for the CR are located first after that. I do intend to complete the event, just not in the order that you have stated.

 

Thank you all for the excellent analysis. I am also troubled by the two hour dispensers and all six hour crops, as I won't be harvesting very frequently this weekend. Hopefully this will be balanced out with no drops to collect and no milling to do.

This is a small detail, but I noticed in the Event FAQs that the text does not match the pictures. We start with small peas, as according to the text/quest, but the starters in the pictures show small green peas. I wish there were more variations in the names of the pea strains, it is confusing.

Thanks again for your input Noelle! Edited my first post one more time, guess by now it's pretty much what it is. Straight forward. To get CR and givers silver, gold and diamond in level 5, 6, 7 and 8 need to be done. The choice in which order is free. Just to keep good track I prefer to do one by one level.

 

can somebody tell me how many hours ( not days ) this event is going to be? please

thank you habalala my brain isn't fully charged yet lol now I will know how many cacs ect that I will need to use and how many hrs of harvester I need to get for the event

Lots of wonder stables and trees as rewards but it's so confusing with all the different peas.
Maybe I just put them all in one pot and cook pea soup.
Let me sleep over it and then decide if or how much I am going to do.

Wow, thank you 12 for crunching the numbers for us.... however, I've just finished my day at work with little sleep under me and in bad need of some food. I look at the Event and say to myself "shoot me now!" The first thing I see is "Warning"..... don't use all your peas or dispensers or something like that lol. So naturally I'm worried I will screw it up because sometimes (as we've seen in the past), I don't understand something until I actually start to do it. I will breathe..... go eat my dinner and read your instructions again and perhaps it will become clear to me... what the dangers are.... and what I should absolutely not do... is use up seeds that I'm suppose to save for later.
