The Perfect Pea – Strategy Thread

Me2...I need to keep toggling back and forth to the event quest. I will say, I did the event to do it. But at this point in the game, for me, the stables and trees no longer hold any appeal...I agree with GrimmReaperDude....that the prizes seem to be dwindling...nothing like in the past.

 

well this event isn't so bad I too have finished all levels of 1-4 am waiting to harvest to start on level 5

 

finished frist 4 level, now working on the second lot of 4 pea
decieded to take them as one lot (all 6 hr) to plant on 1x1(with CAC effect , get 4)
only need to be carefully on plant the qty.
Now 1 hr more I will get @ type 90.
not want to torn all my field, but the emplty plant field less than 360,
So, I will plant all seed of one type, then seond & so on until I used up all empty plot.
thus I will have the last type pea remain some qty unplanted, they will be wait for second planting.
with 3 type pea had 360seed & 1 type lessen. I will donated 330 of first 3 type left 30seed
for second plant. the lessen type will first calculate how much seed I need to left for plant before I donated.
any remain empty plot will be spare for plant the 2big & small yellow pea,
once finished the 2nd lot of 4 pea, then focus on those yellow pea

 

Finished level 6. But not 5.

Nellie_Noodles, for a moment I became apprehensive. What no pink ? Then after reading your next lines got me back to normal. Now I have to get that useless golden donkey somehow...how much ever it costs me & get that pink workshop

I completely agree with you GrimReaperDude. Rolling out wonder trees & stables are not rewards. Rewards should be as you have stated. They are poor this event. My entire supergrow, suzy's SG etc.. have almost gone. I have some jumbos and they save me. But what about others who don't have them ? Please post your entire post above in the feedback.

THINK i have done all the silver levels ...but not sure... don't think it was a good idea to bring it into the game in an event

Going on a girlie shopping trip tomorrow... think some time away from the game and events might be good
I have been trying for the golden donkey 12ss12 ...seems to be taking forever getting it ... am up to having two donkey kings so far

Its nothing. Don't feel sorry for it. I didn't feel so shocked about the imaginary loss. Its always good to share our feelings, whatever they may be. I too find the new FSQ layout somewhat smaller and cramped. May be will get used to it. But that green bar showing our progress is a good addition.

A prize: something u win and that excites u. something u have to have at all cost...where are the BB's, high CC's of the past...how about something rare and exciting...BP make it worth my while to stay up all night like I use too just to harvest...Its getting a bit boring.

 

12ss12 here the same strategy also started to grow the big ones working my way in level 5

glad they will make some changes on the new FSQ on firts hand it is not an inprovement

 

I understand everyone's disappointment when wonder stables and trees do not turn out to be what you wish them to be. I think we all experience that. I don't have all the new trees or stables so they are still attractive to me as a prize with the eternal hope that someday they will arrive on the farm. Just a comment for perspective though for the comparison between this event's requirements and Around the World which did give more rewards. That event called for double the crops we have to grow for this one, plus drops and milling. It has been a nice change to not have to worry about drops or milling. Because it takes time to grow the next round of starter seeds for each of the different types, I have also been able to grow some other crops I needed either for feed, FSQ or FHO. Given the difference in requirements, I think it is appropriate the rewards are also adjusted. That being said, with frog breeding coming up in a few weeks, I would have liked to see more PF.

I've got big yellow (83) and small yellow peas (99) planted. Will eventually go back to finish growing what I need for the early steps but my priority is the yellow ones for now.

 

I have completed all through 4 starting onto 5 and my other peas.... i think lol its so confusing all these different peas which look to be the same lol. I must, yes I must go back read 12's strategy. I overgrew just a little on the initial plants, but thats just me.... i'd rather have too much than not enough. Put out my dispensers, seems it would take forever to get 75 peas getting 3 at a time, so as soon as i get them.... poof they go into 2 x 2 and nuke them with every buff i have.... now what to do with the rest of my fields, thats why i keep thinking i'm doing something wrong lol. Keep reminding myself to read the instructions... I'm such a warrior when it comes to reading instructions.... It seems I fight it a bit.

 

Although still got some screw, I thought I use 1X1, actually, I'm using 2X1, ao, I got more than 90 seeds
neverthless, I managed to get all 3 pea in 450 & only left small red pea need to plant 67 seed in 1x1.
Just got my 3 big yellow pea to plant, although I had the seed dispenser, I don't like to put them on field
It need to harvest every 2 hr. I don't like that. Need to have set many timer is not my cup of tea!
I already need to set timer for planting the 3 big red seed, (they will be in 2x2 with SG &SSG)
9x3 =27 seed look small qty, but just another round with SG,& SSG, I could got enough qty for 1 full field
planting.
There is still 4 day left, no need to hurry, I will plant the remain yellow peas in a relax way,

Hi, you wonder what to do with the remain field.
My advice is : check your barn, look at those 6 hr crop or lessen time crop(depend on the buff you used). plant them in the remain field. The aim is not to waste the field plot but still keep them available when
you need to used them. For me, I plant corn as I'm low on stock, but yes, I need to set timer for it as the grow time is shorter than the event crop.

 

Yellow peas everywhere! Big ones I've almost got enough. Small ones working nicely. One regular yellow on a 2x2 with SSG. If you need to plant a crop with peas, go with pumpkins!

 

Well have got my first dispenser ...haven't got a clue how it works....am waiting for it to fire peas out at me...now that would be fun and we had to catch them .... Maybe NOT

For the first time ever I have used the 'favourites bar' for the seeds - except for the first four. Once I have enough of each one I delete so only the seeds I want to grow are still on the favourites bar. It is still a bit confusing but it does mean I shouldn't over grow. At the moment only the yellow ones are up there.

 

I got up to level 6. crop is about done. Out of super grow so I will be waiting 6 hours for the next batch

 

I made a list with the names of each crop and how many needed and numbered them from 1 to 15 in the order needed. As I finish them I cross them off. This has removed a lot of the stress of going back and forth for me.

As a long term player who plays because I enjoy the game and the community as a whole, I don't evaluate the terms or rewards of each quest very seriously. I just remind myself that each quest is just part of the game I'm playing and that is why I am growing crops and raising animals to begin with. If I don't use them to play the game what is the point?
lol, now never mind the fact that this is coming from someone who still has a gold duck and picasso horse in inventory because they are having trouble putting 2 animals worth over 60 million dollars into Soup and Friends.

Well, there's no manure available on my market and yet I can't sell for more than 68cc, hence it's still in my barn! Just made a booboo and planted the wrong green pea - fortunately it was only 10 seeds and I hadn't added sg or ssg at the point I realised. I wish we could mark the crops we were done with.
Oh and thanks 12 for all the numbers I keep jumping to this thread before I plant.
