Another event that looks rather complicated but I guess will be easier once we get going. I like the new style events we are getting, they are keeping me interested, and this isn't about growing the same crops over and over, so I like that more. Can't wait to get started!

We need a new category -- "complicated" (lol) Or "need more coffee before I can understand this one!"

The event seems doable, and whether this mechanism "works"/"is popular" I like that you are trying new things, but I will reserve further judgement until later.

This would be an interesting event - IF we had somewhere to grow all these crops.
Tearing down my farm to grow event crops would ruin it, and all the hard work it has taken to build it up in the first place.
I like Events as much as the next person, but until we get more room, I feel excluded from most of the crop-growing ones...and this is a disadvantage in the long run due to missing out on the givers, cloud rows, etc. that help the farm to grow.

**This begs the question: Why can't we also use the MM field for when we have Event crop-growing????
It just sits there going to waste...when we all need space sooo much!!

I will probably make a few growing spaces because I DO like events, but I hate the feeling of frustration knowing I most likely will not be able to finish. Again.
This is the one thing I do NOT like about this game.
Otherwise, I'm just as FOCD as are most others.

Best success to everyone else!:)It looks like fun...

I don't know if it is me, but I do not like the outlay of the FS for this event :(. It might just be because I do not like changes :p. Why can't we have an option of participate or not participate?

I also like the idea of different events but they have been to many too close together my brain needs a rest, a nice fun event rather then too complicated, also stables and trees are offered, I have yet received anything new or exciting from past events, seeing stables for rewards seems like a hoax to me, just so disappointed, the last stable I received from an event reward was a orange panda, of which I have 2 and they are not so hard to build at the carpenter. I think it would be a nice gesture to give us hard working farmer something new and exciting every now and then, after all some of us can not afford to spend real $$ too often and I notice that if we don't buy the package on stable day we get the same old same old. I am missing several of the new stables because I can not afford to buy them just sayin

Not liking that we HAVE to finish all three levels for each "level" in order to get the Next Pea dispenser....:wuerg:
LOVE that there is NO drop or milling requirements xD

True for most events. However, this time around some individual deemed it proper to run two events at the same time. So if you wish to use the MM field for the Pea event you'd have to forget all about the MM event. Lousy planning if you ask me.

Pea Dispenser was not of great help as it was awarded in the diamond level. By the time we got the Pea Dispenser, we covered almost the entire amount of crop requirements for that particular pea.

Rewards in terms of SGs,SSGs, PFs, TMs etc should have been better. There number must have been more in corresponding to the number of crops required. There are 11 different type of seeds and hence more amount of SGs, SSGs were used by us in this event and therefore more amount of them should have been given as compensatory reward.

The event mechanism was easy and new experience. I like this event.

Mendel was one of my favourite subject in schools. May be you can have a event for chemistry - Mendeleev Event - based on Periodic Table. Would be nice. But prizes should be good and worthwhile.

I too thought that would have been implemented in this event, giving us liberty to mix the colours as per our wish. May be it would be implemented in Mendel event II. ;)

Is it my imagination or are the 'rewards' for these quests getting worse each time?? The reward totals for completing the whole event are as follows:
    56,660 CCs
    150,980 EP
    10 SG
    6 SSG
    15 PF
    6 TM
    12 x Wonder Stables
    12 x Wonder Trees
    6 x 1hr Harvest Helper Coupons
    3 x EP Givers
    1 x Cloud Row

On top of that we have a load of seeds and dispensers that are only of use for this 1 event!!

No toolboxes, No stars, No party tickets and very minimal amounts of everything else!!

The last medium difficulty quest we had was around the world, also a 6 hour growing crop, but, we did have to mill items for it. The rewards for that though were MASSIVELY HIGHER . Here they are
    134,340 x CCs
    110,650 x EP
    50,200 x TEP
    43 x SG
    54 x SSG
    75 x PF
    2 x TM
    24 x Wonder Trees
    6 x Wonder Stables
    3 x Party Tickets
    2 x XL Toolboxes
    2 x 1Hr Harvest Helper Coupons
    24 x Stars
3 x EP Givers (for cloud row)
    1 x Cloud Row
3 x EP Givers (extras for spares).

I had already used 40 SG and 40 SSG before I realised how little this event was giving back, I will be sitting the rest of the event out and will be paying more attention to the 'rewards' for future quests.

It is hard to give much positive feedback about this event. The good news was we did not have any drop items. The dispensers were a nice idea but it seems they were most useful to someone who inadvertently drained all their crops as a way to continue in the game. However the rest is not so positive.

    1. The number of crops and the similarity in names, shapes, colors, etc was confusing. Also for anyone who is red-green color blind it would even be more of a nightmare.
    2. It was like starting an event 3 times over within one event. This made it difficult to juggle real life and starting crops to get enough critical mass to grow the requirements for base crops, 2nd tier and third tier crops. More than other events it seemed to be higher time requirements of hurry up and wait, simply because we had to start from scratch 3 times, one for each tier.
    3. The event itself was confusing even after starting to work it. It was too easy to grow excess of a similar named crop and not enough of the crop you wished to grow.
    4. The rewards were not up to par with other events.
    5. As of Saturday AM where is the super grow sale? With the number of starts to get to the yellow levels. Super grow seems to be an expense of the event with it being almost a necessity to jump start tier 2 and 3 crops.

I do appreciate the effort that Big point puts into creating different events, but before relaunching this mechanism in another event, they should consider giving more starting crops for tier 2 and 3 plants (maybe 5 ), create crop names, colors that are distinct (it would even help if all base crops where green, tier 2 crops say yellow, and tier 3 crops perhaps red), and offer a super grow sale early on during the event

    The Mendel theme
    Not excessive amounts of crops
The stables and trees as prizes; they will all be of use in one form or another.
    As usual the graphics
    No milling

    Dislikes
It's too easy to plant the wrong pea, since they look similar especially with the harvester
Personally I dislike going back and forth trying to remember exactly how many of a particular pea I need
Too many different types of event plant going at once

The inner geek in me would have loved to have seen more done with the Mendel idea (e.g. actually using his pea combinations).

    Dislikes:
I planted too much of some of the peas but if I had of calculated the quantity needed instead of just planting them in the available fields this wouldn't have happened. Thought that we needed a large quantity of Green Peas instead of the Yellow Peas.
    No extra EP's
Smaller quantity of event crops required

All of the dispenser types should have been given at the completion of the first task (Level 1-Silver). As it is they weren't much use in this event.

I think it might be better if we only had 2 main events a month. They seem to be running too close together and we all hate to miss out on an event. If we had a crop event and then two weeks later a breeding event this would give us a rest and increase desire to participate. The MM and Renzo Fair could still be done as they can be done at the same time that another event is running.

I would like to see more "permanent quests" instead of doing multiple "timed" events a month.

Results for all farms: With the rewards was able to get the Badger, Red Beaver, Yellow Bear, Dogwood and Chequer.

Is anyone else not getting expected stars from the event? I'm not sure how many I
am short by, but I know my star total isn't going up correctly. Regular FSQ and Magic Mirror appears to be okay.
