Little Helpers - Strategy Thread

What you're going to need:
75 Chickens
75 Rabbits
75 Goats
75 Turkeys
75 Sheep
75 Pigs

What you're going to have to collect (Event Drops - 180/day):
900 Squirt Bottles (Used in milling)
900 Feather Dusters

What you're going to have to grow (Junks):
17500 Organic Lemon (6 Hour Crop, ALL fields)

What you're going to have to mill:
100 Lemon-scented Detergents (1 Minute Mill Time)

This event is pretty straight forward. Since the event is "Medium" there really shouldn't be too many issues with the drops.

I'll be following the usual strategy of putting up 20 hour trees the day before and then boosting my starting seeds with SG, SSG, Water, Manure, CAC, White Innocence, and a Fruit Cake all while in 2x2 fields until I have enough to break out of the 2x2 fields.

On reflection, I've decided not to do this event. I'll make frogs instead.

 

Yeah, unless the drop rate is absurd this one should be a pretty easy event.

@puppiesnponies I think the best part about this event is that it really doesn't appear that there will need to be any massive overhauls of farms. Maybe just an additional field of 1x1 to ensure the required amount of Organic Lemons can be grown.

 

Decree, thank you for the split up & numbers. Have put out workshops & trees for drops. And crops in comfort fields in baha. All set to go.

I think Farmerama has settled around 15,000 event crops and 700 to 900 drops approx. for all events. Whenever I see such huge numbers I fell soooo tired. Now I know and feel the real meaning of junk crops and Junk Drops too. I am not discouraging anyone. I myself going to jump straight into it.

My summer vacation is over and from tomorrow onward off to work.

 

What is 'easy' about 17,500 crops??? When we have a farm to maintain??!!
Decree, thank you for all the help and work you did getting the numbers for us - but this would require a massive overhaul of my Farm!!

And why soooo many crops right on top of the one we just did - using up all our "grow" supplies so we have to pay RL$$ for more, or go without and still try to grow 17,500 crops!!

I'm with pnp on this one...but even with the PF I'm still sitting this one out. It's way too soon/right on top of the one that hasn't even finished yet, as of this post!!

This is supposed to be a farming game - and my farm is t-i-r-e-d of constantly being up-ended and disorganized. And like 12ss12, it makes me soooo tired, too!!

Enough, BP, please - enough. Too many, too close together...we need time to farm, too.

 

Thanks Decree for the requirements. I'm just not all that excited about this one. But who am I fooling....FOCD the farm will be prepared and ready.

 

Only 5 days to complete?! I too will sit this one out but thank you Decree for posting the figures.

Thank you Decree for all the requirements ... I too thought about sitting this one out. Especially after I so badly messed up on the Pea Shooting event - and I liked that one. I thought it was more relaxed without being too easy. I guess I just relaxed a little too much!*

I had a quick look at the prizes and wasn't that impressed but then, as someone said, this is a farming game and I know I get bored outside of events. So I will give it a shot, try to finish in time.

By the way, I have realised that a third farm is just plain folly so my little farm is going back to its roots - trees everywhere and no harvesting unless I have the harvester. I will send gifts from it and do as little farming on it as possible. I may return to full farming mode there sometime in the future but for the moment I cannot keep track of three farms at full tilt!

* Just in case anyone thinks as I did - the Perfect Pea event has NOT finished! Hope I didn't mislead anyone. Thanks to Pups for helping a poor old farmer who got a bit confused!

 

I ate too many CAC's for the Pea event so I left my main fields in 1x1's and grew reg crops. I think I'm leaving my frogs out....haven't decided for sure. Does anyone remember when the requirements were like 10,000 event crops and 650 drops? Funny how that seemed like alot.Oh, the "Good old days"!!

 

sad that I just find event start tomorrow, not much time for set up tree.
I will use carnation in CF ,with refine & buff, my drop should be OK
infact, I seldom got trouble with drops. Hope no exception in this event.

 

Thank you so much for the analysis Decree. Yikes, I wish I had been paying attention to the calendar. I just reset my farm minutes before reading the need for drops. BP holding back to back 6 hour event crops to grow seems like a bad idea, but I'm glad to see the ray of light that this a medium difficulty event, drops for everything grown AND you can use all fields. With a depleted supply of SG and SSG, this will start slowly for me and patience will be required! My plan is to not mill detergent for diamond levels until I have the drops for the silver and gold - and to gift early and often!

 

Thanks Decree. Well, I'm out of sg and don't have enough time for my jumbos to generate enough for me to nuke the seeds, so I'm thinking about whether to bother or not.

I hope I can grow enough crop with three fields. I don't see why not.

 

I think this will be another one I sit out on these events are getting to be to close together don't have time to restock or build up stock when you have to keep tearing everything down and I want to get ready for the breeding event so good luck to everyone who is going to tackle this event plus my mill is going full steam trying to get ahead on mainland feed , pwr feed and baha feed too

 

Thanks all for the feedback...on the fence about the event. I am glad you can use the baha fields bc like I previously stated I never take down my magical glade. I too am out of SG and SSG. No doubt there will be a sale on Saturday? Maybe sooner. IF I do this event...I will not look to complete all the steps in each level...just complete enough to get what I want...oh decisions decisions...

 

Did someone say 'Breeding event'?? Did anyone notice that, along with 17,500 crops, this Event also requires...450 animals?!!
