lol-- just wondered why you shut down the June thread.. only to realize it was the May thread you shut down, not June!! (maybe I needed a break from planting my garden, seems the sun might have got to me... lol).

Thank you teddy, for keeping up with these threads. Whether its a chance to compliment, complain (vent mostly, I suppose), we appreciate the chance to express ourselves.

EDIT: I am sorry to say I really don't care for the latest pick a tree spree. I would rather have any base tree than the XL trees. Base trees, even those I have can be given to new players or traded in G & T. Since XL trees require a base, they are not a great gift for newer players and they have little value in G & T. Adding the XXL to the top tier is reasonable. I am not sure anyone would really prefer those over the rare tree, but since we get to choose, its perfectly OK even if only a few like that choice. I would like to see a possibility to get the last rare tree perhaps, but maybe that will come in time.

I also don't care for the latest 'pick a tree' spree. The XL trees are not any more useful than the bases (they do seem to include the base though, Woody). This means you're choosing 7 low value trees or 1 new rare tree...terrible odds. Having the XXL trees or much more recent rares in the middle catagory would have helped a lot. Either that or having 6 common and 2 rare to choose from.

I had to do a double take/look at the requirements and what was being offered in exchange. Not going to bother wasting my BB's or $$ on the Tree spree this time.

    o_Oooops...me a dumb dumb sorry. I didn't read the FAQ correctly...may give it a try~~~

I too went for a few rounds in pick a tree, and got 3 Blackthorn in a row from the same cube! I got a couple of Magnolias then I left it. Too scary to try for a new tree, the concept is better than the wonder tree that takes 5 hours to find out you've got an apple xl.
Also the Frog breeding coming up: I think I better pass with this one, I have 75 frogs plus I severely burned through 800PF over a week ago and have no budget for a kermit, or bullfrog, or toad, or hoppalong...
The breeding events should be only once every 4-5 weeks to give us time to recover.

I found that the best way, unfortunately, is to buy more than one tree at a time...so than that way, life the Wheel of Fortune Spin, you have more boxes lighting up

Shimmer: I am not a fan either esp bc you are forced to pick base trees...if you want to do that and charge me 5 BB's than I shouldn't have to get a base tree...IMHO

Woody; I totally get what you are saying because if u trade a XL or XXL you also need to send them the base if they dont have it...I can live with that...I am just not enjoying paying 5 BB's for base trees that I have multiples of

Latest Pick a Tree options not worth the risk. The introductory version of this event was great. This one, a bust.

I did like the change of common trees from last time in Pick a Tree Spree. It was a good idea for players that don't have the available trees since new quests were introduced to try for them. I still like that we know immediately what we are getting. However, I don't like that the XL trees are the uncommon trees and we must pick 2. It required way too many BB to try to get the newest trees. I hope there is a better plan to acquire these new trees.

I really don't like the idea of introducing new trees in by this method.
The choices are limited and you can only choose 1 new tree at a time. I can't speak for others but I already have way to many of all the other trees offered. At least with the mystery seedling events you had a chance to win XXL trees. Now I have an inventory full of trees that I will never be able to use....unless you bring the tree train back.
I tried it this time...spent way more BB's than I liked...will pass on this event if it returns.

I love the pick a tree event, but as an introduction for new trees - not so much. I hate xl trees, I never use them so to me they are not uncommon they are annoying. I did have a go because I needed a few more magnolia trees, but the others I have multiples of and are not that special. I like that Baha trees were included but still prefer wonder trees as a method for introducing new trees.

Have more than one farm -- spent over 100 BB's
Got 1 Goldenchain and 1 Dragonblood -- other trees received were ones I already have

Odds are not very good -- I would like to see the pick a tree spree choices changed to 2 rare, 2 uncommon and 4 common trees instead of the current 1 rare, 2 uncommon and 5 common

Other than that I like that we can choose which trees we might get

This is the first time I've been around to play the Pick-a-Tree mini event, and I'm afraid I'm going against the grain as I think it's great!
Yes I agree that xl trees aren't exactly tremendous, having more xxl's available would be much better, and I'm not sure if it's the best way of introducing a new tree, but I really like that we can choose our own selection (to a degree) and are guaranteed to get one of them :).
I have spent way more on this than I did on Wonder Tree event (aside from when I was new to the game), and I have managed to get a nice collection of trees I wanted. I was especially happy that when I reached the point of "right a couple more go's and that's it" after still not getting either the Goldenchain or Dragonblood, I then proceeded to get one of each :D :music: :inlove:.

The first time we had the mini event "Pick-a-tree" I had bought many trees and I intended to buy again. But then I saw there are XL trees as prizes so I didn't and I won't buy any this time.

Don't like the inclusion of XL trees in pick a tree. That's why I stopped buying them in the previous version of buying mystery trees.

I love the pick a tree spree- I spend way less BBs to get the latest trees.
The mystery tree packs are just way to rich for me~

Okay, I just realised that the xl and xxl trees come with the base, so not so bad after all.

Woohoo, I was really really hoping for 3h harvest vouchers on the calendar, and today we got them! Thanks :)

What's up with all the new trees lately? I used to think new trees every second month for the wonder tree sales was quite a lot, but got used to that. Now we got new trees earlier this month for pick a tree spree, this weekend was wonder weekend and rumors are the fruitdealers will bring 4 (?) new trees in an event next month

To me it just makes new trees less appealing. This might have been the first time I didn't buy a single winder tree (didn't buy anything for mega EP day either). I wasn't even tempted. Partly because I didn't see any forum posts about the wonder trees. Not a single post filled with the anticipation for trees planted. No reports of joy for getting a new tree, nor of frustration with the results.

Another thing is that I still have trees in my inventory that I got from wonder trees in October and December last year, that have not been tradeable in G&T -.- By now their value is significantly reduced. I bought extra many in the hope of trading them, although I realize this is not guaranteed, I am very unhappy with the situation :(

Speaking of G&T.... It is a wonderful event, but shouldn't come too often nor too seldom. 4 or 5 events evenly spaced out through the year would work well I think. The last four events have been far from optimal:
    • October & November 2015 - too close together
    • January & February 2016 - too close together & no new trees/stables for trade!
    • Now 4 months without G&T
    :sleepy::sleepy:

    Farm Wheel Fun Days
Not so fun this time around. :( Taking everything good off the wheel, not a good move. Removing the 100%Harvest and 200% EP, not a good move. There a usually larger amounts of SG, PF, ect., didn't really see anything that made it exciting to me. Removing the Pink stalls that you had just recently added...a really bad move. I have soooo many scarecrows and birdhouses that I can't gift or trade...you want to sell them. The new one will come in time....in multiples.
I usually buy tickets, not this time.
