Please post your constructive comments, positive and negative, regarding the Football Fever event in this Feedback thread. We are looking forward to capturing your initial reaction to the event, as well as the final opinion after participating in the event.

Another event, another lot of thousands of event crops, another one that is unattainable if you work and this is branded medium? Well, if nothing else my FOCD has been cured. Haven't done the last 2 events and won't do much of this one.

 

First thoughts - I'd really like an unthemed cloud row that I could put some of my extra givers on.

Soccer field graphics are great. I like the play of the game even though some of the fields it is extremely hard to score the "9" at the end.

Dislikes:
Having events too close together (don't want to skip them especially when there is a Cloud Row as a reward) -- would prefer permanent quests (untimed) maybe you could have a timed quest that could be done whenever we wanted to start it and also if we didn't finish we could try again (had some of these in past where we had to harvest animals within a time period). The new warehouses might help with this because we might not have to keep tearing up fields.

Would prefer if crops took the same amount of time to harvest. If not equally timed would prefer that one was __ hours and the other was 2X __ hours. This would make it easier for some people to know when to log back into their farm.

Note: The problem with events like this is that they make me greedy because I want all of the rewards offered (even the event sticker as it would mean I completed the entire event).

Missing one item from Cloud Row but maybe can get it during GT. Was unable to get 2nd Cloud Row as I got stables, trees, etc.

Wow what a boat load of work the programmers and game designers put into this one. You can almost smell the green grass! It looks so sporting! I love the Stadium look when the game loads. I bet a lot of the sports fans playing the game are going to have a ball with this one! Its a nice change.
Even if I am not playing this one, I really appreciate the work that went into pulling it all together, no doubt a lot of the men designing this game had fun bringing out their inner/outer child sports fan personas.
Maybe it will encourange more men to play Farmerama? I am so {{not}} a Soccer or Football sports fan, so it does nothing for me, maybe I would play Baseball or a Basketball game or Bowling or PutPut Golf not 18 holes of Golf, a cool crazy PutPut Golf game with the crazy challenges of PutPut Golf-maybe.
I do appreciate the opportunity to sell manure and use my fields to place all my frog stalls!! Plus! its nice to have a week off from the constant back to back events. Have fun with this one everyone!

 

Holy Crow, I lose all those crops I worked so hard to grow, because I hit a red guy !!!
It takes over an hour hours to grow 510 white and 260 black buds and that is if I use super-grow and water. I think BP could come up with a less harsh punishment for not being able to judge the slow speed of the ball and the fast speed of the reds.
The incentives are great with 2 cloud rows being available. But I am not sure the sleep depravation, having to set alarm every hour to harvest, is worth it just because I’m a bad shot.

P.S. I do not play the strong man game at the fair either, but at least there I have a choice and am not punished for getting a low score.

 

i do not like events like this .that need so many drops when drops are minimal. plus 2 crops at 2 different growing times to time consuming and aggravating waiting for longer crop to harvest just to play.way too many events back to back . i dont know how many times we have to complain about this before they listen. theres never any time to grow anything else

 

The axe minigame was fun and relaxing because it didn't ask for hand-eye coordination. This one makes my heart jump out every time, and I'd prefer my heart to stand quiet and relaxed instead. If I wanted this kind of "emotions" I'would have chosed a shooting game, not a farming one. The idea could have been nice, but I wish the minigame were a little easier.
As usual the requests are too demanding, the time too little, and I had to tear down my farm again.
On the bright side, the graphic is very good and the prizes are great. But it's useless if we're unable to get them, it just makes us frustrated.

 

I'm not going to try to finish. I've got one ball, made it all the way to the goal. Got my 6 coins, +3 along the way and other rewards, I like the event, no, do not plan to finish, but will enjoy what I can achieve.

The actual game is tons of fun. I very much enjoy. I also love these type of events where you can choose your own rewards, and only have to get enough coins to get what you want. I second the statement that endless cloud rows that just give more EP/TEP, while handy, are not a huge incentive for me. Short time crops are hard for me, like many people who work, but all one can do is try to do what one can do.

I do however have to loudly agree with the "too many events, too close together" statement. It's tedious and begins to feel like a second job. I have already stopped playing my second farm for the summer, as there is no way I can do events on two farms with my summer schedule - unlike lots of people, I actually work harder in the summer than I do the rest of the year. Anyway, too many events that require constant attention.

As always, the graphics are outstanding and I think the prizes offered are well worth the work.

 

I just have to say the amount of event crops and drops is really getting old The drops seem to be low on this event but it hasn't been quite 2 days yet. Maybe it will improve or maybe I'm just a little burned out

 

You can add me to the list of those who are not even trying to finish this event. I am simply growing event crops instead of farm crops and I didn't change my farm very much for this event. I just tried the actual game and I found it a lot of fun. Having the option of what prizes to get is an excellent change. Those who have too many cloud rows can simply not buy the cloud row and if you have too many givers there are other prizes to choose from and you don't have to do the entire event. It would be nice to be able to get prizes more than once, but it's understandable why we can't. I totally agree that there are too many events, too close together, but now that I have skipped some I find my FOCD almost completely cured. The game itself is a lot of fun, but requires way too many crops to play each game. With a rating of medium I can only surmise that BP doesn't intend for us to get all the prizes, but instead intend for us to pick and choose some of the prizes. Thank you for the quality prizes. They are much better than those for some recent events.

 

The drop rate for this "Medium" event is worse than some of the difficult events. The worst part is that the drop rate itself is limiting the amount of fun playing the mini-game. I wonder how much time and energy went into making that game only to slam the door shut by making it hard to get the items needed to actually play it. At the very least I would consider dropping the amount of star coins rewarded and increasing the drop rate to give more opportunities to play the mini-game. This current event is like watching paint dry growing crops which don't take long, but the drop rate suffers as a result of needing both crops and drops. Pick one, have us make event crops. Or have an event drop, both combined just inhibits the ability to have fun.

Spoilt by the PITIFUL amount of drops we are getting in this event For the THOUSANDS of crops we have to grow

AND opening LL certainly hasn't improved this one bit in my book .. spend HOURS & DAYS breeding animals to open this and what it boils down to is ....to get drops is what trees and stables you put out ...so in fact opening LL doesn't even come into it and was a waste of time and effort... am i wrong in thinking this ...because i don't think i am ?

 

I really like the mini game, thank you BP for thinking of another way to play. I like the idea that we can choose how much of the game to do. The cloud row and the miscellaneous goodies are all I want and should get those easily.

 

Since I left most of my farm in trees and stables I'm not having any trouble with the drops. Of course the opposite problem is true for me. I'm limited by the number of crops I'm able to grow.

Two things I'm running into playing the mini game, it simply won't let me make some passes, even though they are forward and I wish it would tell how many balls you have used out of the 5 balls you get for each game. It would also be really nice if you could start over if you have balls left after scoring and play again until you've used all 5 of your balls. Any prizes you've won during previous attempts during each game could be blacked out and unavailable, including coins in the goal. As many crops and drops as it takes to get to the game it seems like it would make it more fair.

Nellie, I didn't notice a significant increase in drops when I opened the LL rune, but it sure is nice not having to drag the trophies around and it will help your drops during MM.

I agree on there should be a count down to how many games we have played out of the 5 and i have been having trouble with not being able to pass the ball
And i am glad LL is good for something and haven't wasted my time opening it

There is a black and white soccer ball on the right side of the screen when you are playing. There is a number in the middle that shows your remaining tries of the 5. I am waiting for more rubber bands to make a soccer ball or I would try to give you a screenshot.
