Chat rooms

might be a good idea to bring those back,,,in case a bunch of us hens want to get together...a hackle about things not meant for the forum

 

I agree with Elimeno. A chat would be nice.

 

Yea sometimes IGM is rough when its between more than one...our own little gabfest. I am not sure why they stopped it...but I think anything is worth a revisit

 

Hi elimeno Hope you are well. We had Chat Room Chat, in the Past as Teddybear our Mod has explained to us it is no longer Viable to Have Chat Room. At first many farmers used it then eventually not that many people did not use it. Most of us do not have time to chat, these days.

But Sadly there was some negative outcome from Chat Rooms. Such as Farmers not following Chat Room Rules. It was a Burden on our Mods too. In the End it was more Hassle than it was worth.

All Newbie Farmers Needs to be Aware of This. Chat room is now obsolete. The Announcement about Stopping Chat Room has been Archived. Feel Free to Dig into Archives if you need farther information

 

Thank you Mooboy, Yes I was around when they first became available and when they ceased to exist. So I am fully aware...its the same as in RL the whole get punished because of the few. Thought it might have been a good idea to bring them back again...its just a suggestion that can go by the wayside.

I wish there was some in game chat room between neighbors. I get that we can send messages to neighbors but it doesn't feel quite dynamic as a group chat room between neighbors say from a certain region or country.

 

It would be nice to be able to chat to more than one person at a time. You are typing messages and they get crossed in the "mail". RT chat is easier to see and answer. It also lets more people talk at one time. While the drawback is that someone must monitor it, that is only a small drawback. If a user doesn't follow the chat rules, then revoke their chat privileges. Don't punish the tree for just a few bad apples....

 

I for one used to like to chat to people, even though I had a rocky start, but once I got into chat it and I miss the chat competitions

 

Well hopefully they will give it another go. After all, a player can have dreams...

 

Chat was very nice! In the end we didn't use it but maybe this time it will "revive"

I saw it, but I never knew how to use it. It would be nice to be able to chat and it would be a great way to pass along information to newer players.
