I have finished the first 8 levels! Now I'm debating on whether to go any farther. The bottom has fallen out of the frog market so selling them is not nearly as lucrative as it was, but I would like to save all the power feed that I can for other breeding. On the other hand, it would be fairly easy to go a few more levels, although I don't know what I would do with all those ladder factories.
My best skip was to a Gentleman Frog from 4 Dart Frogs.
So far I've use about 120 frogs and about 100 power feeds, if you consider what I've received in return. Not bad for a decent cloud row and fillers.

Before reading your post my intent was to post here with the message: I want to reconsider whether or not to complete any part of this event at all. Are the rewards worth the equivalent cc expense?

I'm having a problem justifying the cost now. Ignore what feed cost to produce. I can sell a frog for 25,000 easy at this moment. The EV of a frog is 382. Using 25,000 , the price of a frog is now over 65 times its EV. Over 65 times! No precedent! The only way anything close to that to be maintained is for BP to constantly create a demand for frogs (ignore what happens to egg pens and chickens). I don't chase ep.... This event is now not making sense to me to even get the cloud row.

I can see why and we are no where near the bottom price yet. I'm afraid to give a bottom price but I have one and it is not so pretty.

And a stork pen as a reward? Whaaaaaat? I'll give a few apple trees for one but not much more. The only way I can see that worthwhile is the thought that BP could go to BBs only for what are now classed as pens for rare animal production. That is possible but I can't see anything else.

I must be missing something about this event.

There is time so I'll just keep selling the high priced frogs and maybe breed with some that don't hop on gold lily pads.

 

Thank you farmer_broke, but I must correct my previous statement about the bottom falling out of the frog market. I was selling frogs for 65,000 cc +, but all at once they dropped to less than 20,000, so I assumed the market was done. However, a few minutes later I checked again and they are back to 45,000 +. I don't understand why people are paying so much considering the event prizes, unless they have unlimited funds, but I will gladly continue to provide frogs at these prices and forgoe the rest of the event.

EDIT: I got a circus panda from 4 regular pandas. If I can get 1 more I can get my pink panda.

I Agree that Rewards After Level 13 is not worth it such as Stock Pen or Butterfly Pen, at least they could have reward use with an Badger Pen....oh well....I am only going to level 13 stop there.

I did the right thing to hold back my Frogs to sell as my hunch says hold onto them good thing too. Sold Most of them at 33,000 each Guess what Frogs now selling for 40K Each. I have Stopped Breeding Frogs as it not Viable to consume priceless Frogs to get Breeding Animals that is worth not where near 33,000 to 40,000 (x4). Up to 160,000 worth of Frogs. Using Two Power Feeds.

I did some Breeding to get enough Breeding Frogs to Level 13. As i am also trying to snap up Bargain Breeding Frogs too.

Just Wondering if Frog Prices continue to Climb or slow down. Just have to keep an eye on it. In The meantime i am still churning 128 Frogs on my Farm. I am Growing Farmerama Cash on my Farm....Wish is was real cash lol

 

Frogs in my market have also been going crazy. I've been selling for nearly 63,000 - good thing too because I bought a Rainbow frog for a little over 6 million. If there were other breeding frogs offered in my market, I'd try to grab them too. Would like another Frog Prince to build a pink frog pen, but haven't seen any. Don't think any have been put up for sale yet because the price is still very low. Maybe in a day or two I'll get lucky.

 

Doc, no problem. Just play um just like a 5 cc head of lettuce. My baby farm "noobbie" sold for over 50,000ccs and the market dropped to 40,000. That farm just doesn't have the ccs to play um like lettuce. Practicing with that tight lettuce market sure does come in handy.

No way is that farm doing this event. It has about 650 frogs. I'll sell them and try to max out the trophies and get that farm on its way. I'm even thinking about getting the starter pack for 65 stars and selling those frogs too with that farm.

I've got a little something on those frog breeding animals that makes just a little sense. Need to go back to "noobbie" and dump the rest of those frogs. Will be back.

 

HALLELUJAH!!! I had to use up most of my power feed, but I finally got my second Circus Panda and built my Pink Panda! That's the first pink I've built myself without winning it in an event, or wonder stable.

 

Can you believe it? I got a rainbow frog from 4 regular frogs pat-back, pat-back. Only completed to cloud row, and made a fortune off of frogs yesterday (it is just after midnight here) This is the first time I have ever experienced a market frenzy like this! I am absolutely giddy

Doc, went to the baby farm and sold the frog starter frogs and the pheromones too. A quick 24 million with the frogs on hand there and even picked up a few lettuce frogs. (And bought a little lettuce in remembrance of the lessons learned and hope they should sell in that quantity and pric3 listed but we'll see.

There is the menagerie for animals and there may be one for trees and products. Well then on BAHA the same is possible. The animal menagerie requires breeding animal in the quest. The only little sense I can make of the frog fiasco has to do with the EV of the breeding animals.

I quickly glanced at them and compared and there is a difference between the frogs breeding animals and the others and even different from other rare animals. If that EV has any use and it does as it relates to the animal box then the high cost frog breeding animals may as well be submitted. And that gets rid of them from the game and with a purpose at a high cc value. But it does work. One may as well donate them because who in their right mind would pay what the animals to make them are worth today for that same EV worth of goods? Far cheaper EV exists but one may as well just get rid of the animal and some will.

This above should help explain the reason why the glass frog appears for sale already and often. Initially people would take anything for them because there was no immediate costs that needed to be computed. When first available on the market it was a giveaway anyway. Just give some stars with the investment already made through events or quests one would have done anyway and one has the animal.

A little messy that menagerie but I can see a little method to the madness.

I had a good idea why you have been so quiet. I'm laughing because one may as well get the box that hold 4 animals and buy 3 more stalls and produce produce133 untilo they get the red stable. Then just trash the stable during a G & T.

Thinking about us laughing when I was buying 100,000 eggs. Then it tuned to 200,000 then to over 225,000. And this all goes back to using that EV line of reasoning. Only one item with a big difference left and that is parrot feathers. I know you have been collecting them and you know I have too. Went on a selling spree during the last TOP 1000 and now almost back to 90,000 again. Using the same acquisition rate as with tree fruit. Egg farms active on more farms all of a sudden.

Oh yea, that stork! There is a plan for them.
I have too many stork pens to not be using RL funds with this farm (about 12)
Too many offered during G & T to seem worth anything.
Feed takes 2 rhubarb.
Rhubarb prices depressed with too many in barns
Pink jelly uses rhubarb
Pink Jelly given away to many in the game recently (keeps rhubarb use down, why?)
Rhubarb jam is stable but has risen slightly but use of it being made
No call for rhubarb in over two years
Used in badger feed but no real demand for badgers
This farm has about 650,000 with no real effort--too much-- (did clear market today to see effect)
And rewards include a stork pen in this event

My best skip was a Frog Prince and Aqua from regs. The rest are the usual hops, Darts or Aquas. Oh yeah, almost forgot to mention the 1 Flying frog. I'm probably going to stop now bc it's pointless to keep going after the same thing when I have more than enough to do what I want to complete. 2 Cygnus and 2 Urals?? Pass. Stork??? I already have 19 I wish the butterfly house was offered before that. Doc, Big Congrats on your very 1st built Pink stable!! I have come to the conclusion that is how I shall also get my first Pink. I have all the Neons but not a Pink. I'm pretty sure I have a few of the animals required to build one, just have to get that 2nd one.... So I shall save my PF for Nublons (not sure if spelling is correct)

 

I sure wish the next gift and trade is coming soon. There's so many stuff I really need

 

I woke up this morning and I'm RICH, I've managed to bank over 4 million just overnight!! My egg troubles are over and I can feed my little froggies with no problems now... I am a happy happy girl

Can someone tell me where the stork and the butterfly habitat is please, I looked through all the little boxes on the lily pads that show what gifts are being given out, but I don't see them as prizes. I would like to try for them since I have none!!! I'm not seeing any levels, or will that start showing once I donate to the lily pad?

I used my stars on that glass frog from the tree of wisdom and it sold for 4.5 million overnight!! Before I went to bed I sold what basic frogs I had to pay for the 10% fee it cost to put up and it paid off!!

Not sure if I got a good price for the glass since Ive been reading to hold out for a few days where breeding is concerned and prices will rise eventually, but I needed cash badly and just couldn't help myself... I'm happy with it though!! Way I see is this.. if I sold out for less then I helped somebody out, and on the flip they helped me out as well.

I don't know your market CandyDandy but that price is a good price compared to my market. Glass frogs can be bought here for 3.6 million.

 

So that's why glass frogs are so common in my market. There's no other frog breed available. I like how you think

I just bought 100 eggs at 800 cc each (next is 1100 cc). Instead of selling back the market at 1100 cc. I'm making 50 feeds from it. Keep 25 to use, another 25 I'm selling @ 5000 cc. That's me being business minded.

 

Hi puppiesnponies... that is great news to hear!! This market is so confusing for me right now. I have no idea what a good/bad price is, everything seems so expensive to me!! Even before this event started it seemed out of control to me LOL, but I'm sure I will get use to it and learn when to buy/sell

I think I am in market 24, if I remember correctly!! Right now, there are 19 of the glass frogs up for sale with the highest priced at over 6 million... I hope it sells for them
