I could be wrong about Cassie's menagerie, but each orange bear pen is 25.3 hours and with the tree of wisdom rune, water, buffs like valentine's pot, cheeseballs and/or the cloud row, you could get that down to 15 hours. Each orange pen gives 2 animals and with 4 loaded into the menagerie, that gives 8 bears, so yes, it is possible to get 16 bears in 30 hours

Yes Pup is Correct with Facts with Cassie Menagerie. During Baby Boom we could Put in 4 x Frog Pond ii: Orange, Who From Frog Quest, Two Crafted from Workshop. But i am having second thoughts about making two more Frog Pond II: Orange. As They need woods.

But Prices of Frogs will start to go into Free Fall in our Markets. I need to work out which best Orange Pens to put into my Menagerie or Put in Neon Pens or Pink Pens.

For Me at the Moment it is not worth Upgrading Menagerie Yet. As i am waiting if the Arboretum or Manufactory will benefit us better.

Better Still Wait until next Barter and Gift Event to see that we can get more Pink or Neon Pens for our Menagerie

 

I also tried the 4 frog pens I got for completing all of the quest - 2 red & 2 orange. They finish at the orange time....and there were NO power drills.
I've harvested many times...even harvested 4 Neon rabbits, which produced 16 rabbits - and still No PD's!! If this is a joke, it isn't funny.

The first step of the quest is being completed slowly. Some will inefficiently use the breeding animals that they hold simply because they have them and that way is very expensive in nearly all cases.

This animal box and the future tree box and the future product box and the related quests will have far reaching effects of this game.

The market price divided by EV will definitely serve as an efficient guide. AND it will change AND markets differ. (No need to worry too much about different markets because the markets do converge on the same item although not efficiently.)

If one understands and applies it then the method will influence ones investment decision.

 

No drills for my farm either

In the spa forum we are over 20 players posting every time we collect the menagerie and still nothing!

I guess in the german forum players might be complaining and BP will change the drop rate today

 

So I started doing this Menagerie event. really couldve skipped parts 2 &3 of level 1...because now I am stuck trying to donate 3,000,000 worth of animals yet I am done with level 1 & 2. But, I wonder, has anyone received a drill yet as a drop item? A drill, quite a few, are required. I havent received any

 

I've still only got the one and none on my other farms.

 

I've tried, Pink bees, Pink horses, Pink turkeys, Red ostrich, Red Donkey, Neon Chickens, Neon Goats. Over two different farms...No drills on either farm.

Ummmm, ok, 4 of a kind don't work. Anyone willing to try the picture use of beasts?

Maybe the trick is in the mix, the video and the intro pic in news show a mix of one type of stall each just a thought.

 

A reason NOT to change the drill drop rate

Say the drill drop rate is changed.
A player still must work the quest in order to get the blueprints.
What's needed first?
answer: 1,000,000 EV of animals or breeding animals
The above is only for a single blueprint (and more are required to upgrade)

Focus on only a single blueprint a second.
Where do the animals come from to donate?
answer: barn and/or market

Sure some will produce or breed animals. How many?
If more are needed quickly then where do they come from?
answer: the market

What happens to the market?
Chaos and animal purchases take place in anticipation of donation. Massive inflation or folks give up.

Why would developers want chaos and massive inflation?
answer: They most likely don't want it. Game balance is desired.

So how is the chaos and inflation controlled?
answer: Drill drop rate!

Sorry not the bearer of good news for upgrading the storehouse quickly. Quite possibly the control, although not complete control, is for the benefit of players also.

 

Considering that it takes 6 drills per upgrade, I hardly think that a small adjustment to the drop rate is going to upset the game. Only one person has reported getting even one. Inflation is already rampant in the game. If they didn't want inflation, they should have tweaked something in the game before this. Maybe they are planning some expensive pet that will increase the drop rate in your menageries. (Then there will be one for each of the new storage units made available, for each new tool required.) No, my response to this whole fiasco is to not even bother with a menagerie. BP is working really hard at making this game no longer fun.

 

I'm still stuck on tools needed, my hamster wheel is a spinning, no one is gonna donate tools hard to get, used a lot so that leaves you what? bee queen and parrot hands. For me it took a year to get the numbers for maybe two levels. So drop rate not all that as it will take another two years just to even think of open the basic 6 slot for all groupings.
So, luck on my side it will be a year till I get the tool requirement, so 12 drills at a year hope doable.
I be thinking not only a new pet needed but new refinements needed.
as for leveling up not a thing in my future, BP has nothing to worry about, I will be at 4 slots for a long time. A let down but I will still be able to have 4 in one, better than nothing

 

Will someone please tell me how to get the menagerie. At 68 I feel so stupid sometimes.

 

Ming, there are refinements that increase chances for bee queen and parrot hands and wooden mallets. They make a huge difference.

dustydi, You can buy a menagerie from the tree of wisdom for 500 stars and/or from the stable shop for 299 BB. More info here

 

The menagerie is no problem for long time players or for those who wish to spend BBs. That one menagerie creates a lot more animals in the game. And it must be dealt with in order to create balance. And now players want drills to expand the menagerie and have more animals in the game to deal with. There must be some balance sought by game staff.

And the company needs RL revenue too! Imagine a sale with a guaranteed drill. How bad do players want that drill? I would bet BP will find out. hahahaha And it's reasonable to expect this.

I find no history in this game where inflation has occurred to the degree it has in both the animal and breeding animal markets in the last two weeks.

And the animal box is only the first storehouse. The same issues of concern can occur with boxes for mainland trees, mainland products, BAHA animals, BAHA trees, BAHA products and there are more possibilities.

Sure the drop rate for drills can be tweaked but the game must be kept in some sort of balance and controlled.

 

Thanks Mir, It's hard to see the tool part of the refinements, I'm doing long time items now, the tears of pain going to market buying 10+ hour crops is making other goals hard to see. I got to go back and find the hand and queen!
Every click to buy I say enjoy! <I will be growing/selling them soon too!> Seems to me the longer the crop the more refinements you have to get to get to the time off ones!

Age has nothing to do with it, if so, I'm brain dead now. there's a lot to get too! Just ask and some tiggerific farmer will offer a hand!
