    Gah ... *blush*

Thank you meba. You bought up most of the crops my farm produced over the past 10 months in ONE run. I like to point to my siggy.

    *HUG!*

Anyone have a strategy for the ladder workshops? With frogs still selling briskly at 10 k cc in my market, I feel like my farm will be permanently flooded with lily pads. I did put out 10 ladder factories because my FOCD requires some of the prizes and stars from their quest. I'm beginning to doubt that they are worth producing for sale. I know I won't sell mine for less than 40 k cc if the frog market continues to boom with this crazy demand. Thank you so much Farmer Broke for explaining the importance of investing early and often in eggs and soy beans. That has really paid off, as my mill continues to churn out frog feed!

My strategy is to not do the quest and not put out any workshops at this time. The quest isn't going anywhere and I have better things to do with my land and frogs. :)

I too do not intend to put out my ladder factory yet. But I removed all frog pens as soon as the event was over. Back to normal farming.

Thank you Black Caviar and 12ss12! I suspected it was too early to have those ladders out (with all of the foolishly overpriced upgrades from the quest!) Oh, I wish my FOCD would allow me the luxury of being practical! The drumbeat to collect more stars is just so insistent! On a positive note, I have no intention of finding out what the mystery stables might be just yet, so that is a little minor progress.

Different strategy here - my ladders are out; frog prices have crashed and ladder prices are steadily increasing. So I shall accumulate and then sell, so I can reinvest my cc in something pink!

Aetheria14, If its stars you need, then there is no harm in putting out the ladder workshops. I think we will need stars for the next set of storehouses for trees & workshops. I did the same thing for hydrant & cheese quest.

I have only 24 stars too. Have to build them up.

With the five new Wonder Stables, I gave up and reorganized my fields. I now have just the Main Farm for actual plot production. The Glade is now my regular animals and workshops. That stuff doesn't move. The third field is going to be "flex field". The idea is that currently I have it in Wonder Stables and a...um... really large amount of apple trees (and a few others). That's because I am perpetually running short on apples for various animal feeds and to help finish that side of the Trophy Quest. The Wonder Stables are purely for the Trophy Quest. I know that's horrible economically, but I've made a personal decision to be on step 15 of both quests by Labor Day. The concept is that I can also nix the apple and most of the walnut trees in that field, nix the Wonder Stables, and have a nice, big field ready for event questing, should I choose to do one.

It's a good thing I'm back on here. As I write this, I have almost no garden left to speak of. The grasshoppers are even eating things that are supposed to be poisonous to grasshoppers, like Russian Tarragon. I'm stunned. There is no fighting this sort of plague short of something like what the LDS pioneers experienced with the California Gulls. I don't have a local equivalent, however. The local bevy of Scaled Quail have their beaks full of the little hoppers and it still doesn't make a dent. At least here, here there are no $%^%$#U*^ grasshoppers. I am grateful.

Bought 3 ladders. Stupidly sold one ladder for 3000 earlier. I bought it for 1000.:p No patience at all. Should try to practice it.

That's really bad. It feels very awful too. I think it must be the problem of all others in your area too. Won't the government take some radical steps to eradicate them?

12ss12-- you've got to be kidding, right? I live more-or-less rural. The county doesn't care. The only other layer we have is the local HOA, and they are too busy with roads. They are helping to eat the usual bounty of tumbleweeds, so there is a silver lining, but my real garden is simply toast. Which might not be so bad, but my favorite farmer was pretty much forced by regulation to not farm this year. As soon as hubby finishes a quick fix, then we are going to see how another "local" farm (about 20 miles away and in a different ecology) is doing. I am starting to have feverish dreams of greenhouses. In a greenhouse, I could wait for one of our hot spells and leave the vents closed. Can anyone say "roasted grasshopper"? That would be sweet.
