I have put my Menagerie Back into my Barn to Collect Dust....Given up Trying to get any Power Drills

The Prices of Frogs is Dropping Fast. Other Animals some of them remains the same price, some of them gone up a bit. But is seem Animal Feeds is on the Climb as Anaconda Feed hit 10,000 cc in my market this morning.

Due to increase in Animal Prices is seem not beneficial to produce Critters using Menagerie as i seem to make more cc Growing Crops as i always been a Crop Farmer Anyway.

 

I been eaten a lot of crow lately, had to put out stalls to prove it! Now I've done the same in buying feed I like to graze over areas in the market, and somehow found myself in feed.
I wound up buying feed, I at one time prided myself and my rotation of the farm to be able to sustain itself off itself. Well those days are gone it seems. The prices were so low I'd be a fool to make it.

I am looking at the menagerie as a way to keep a goal working, some animals just will always take forever and for now give just one.
Take the butterfly, one critter 100 needed right off in a quest,yeah you need four stalls but just an example, I can load it and forget it and still have room for anything I am doing.
I can see them on the farm just doing their thing, getting drills not all that at my level, the constant working and moving forward is.
When them workshop ones hit the farm I will have them out around the clock, if the drops are like the one arm bandit then the more you use it the better the odds.

I gave up on new way for the farm, I'm going back to the beginning sort of just with a boatload of stuff, And incorporate the new as norm.
I feel like my farm turned into a new Iphone/smart phone and I have an hour to know all the features.
I don't like the idea of locks on the farm, but will have to live with them till I get the drills one day, Now back to a 1st goal, just this time in neon!

The drill control on the menagerie expansion is working to limit market chaos. Many are working quests to get stars to get the menagerie. The product market has been very active. The same is working with breeding animals as quests are being completed for stars.

This farm has received no drills and cannot expect to receive them rapidly.

 

The market is yummy! as you say in all areas, I'm getting and selling, wish I had made my notes sooner in areas I really did not think I'd be in for a few months. Making new standards that's for sure!

Meanwhile it's actually contributing to that market chaos. The lack of upgrades decreases production capacity even if it is by a small amount. Additionally, there is no lack of people buying crops, and animals to complete the blueprint quests while they wait for drills. Similarly, products are also being heavily purchased so that farmers can acquire additional stars to obtain the menagerie.

Release of the menagerie has created a sellers market which was only complicated by the extremely high prices frogs saw. Many people swapped over to producing frogs full time which created less supply of regular animals, feeds, and to a smaller extent products.

Fortunately we get a small break before the next event to farm and produce items for ourselves.

 

Surely higher prices are paid for many items by those investing and by those who do not have barn stock and wish to complete quests quickly. This was to be expected. Those who play the market were just waiting on the frog event to end. Many still are waiting to unload.

So this increase in market velocity is with the presence of no drills as drops. Simpy imagine what would happen if the drills suddenly were dropping like sugar. The little chaos there is no way compares to what it would be with a drill drop frequency increase.

Experienced market players have even set prices. BP has done well so far.

 

I did what teddy bear suggested...activated all drop buffs, cloud row drops, living legend rune is at 29%, had 400 extra EP and three Howie donuts on the same field as the Menageries still... No Power Drill!

I really do not care if I get the drills or not. I do not intend to donate such a huge amount of breeding animals for the blueprints. I still have not progressed so far to donate them. It might take some more months/time to even consider giving away the breeding animals.

Hope you relaxed after you read my lie of receiving six (6) drills.

There is reason to work the menagerie quest even though one does not desire the menagerie itself. Offering the menagerie is only the first easy to see aspect of this whole menagerie development process. Remember the offer is only the first step. Again, this menagerie must be controlled by developers. It must be.

You are already ahead of the menagerie development process. You already see the bait and kinda want it. The menagerie itself cost 500 stars and some have the stars and some do not. Those that do not are working the fsqs in record numbers to get the stars. (They are in effect buying stars as I call it.) One either gives the stars they have or they buy them. Lots of market activity surrounding the quests now.

The first step in the menagerie quest requires 1,000,000 (ev) in farm animals OR any breeding animals (including BAHA breeding animals).

We gave more than 1,000,000 ev in animals in working on the animal trophy. And we got a star. hahahaha

Some are donating animals to the quest itself regardless of holding the menagerie or not. And I am only discussing the very first step of the quest. Please remember 1,000,000 in animals or breeding animals. Not only is your farm or my farm viewing the requirements but others are too. With the submission of animals (breeding or farmland), they are disappearing from the game.

The created demand forces stocks in barns to fall as farmers begin to sell due to the attractiveness of the price. What was barn stock is contributed! Prices rise slowly.

AND THIS ACTIVITY IS OCCURRING WITHOUT DRILLS needed to expand the menagerie (if one even has it). If drills are readily available one still must complete the quests to get the blueprints. <------

Sure some farmers will contribute animals just because they have them. Most keep no records or very limited records. The submission of animals is somewhat inefficient but efficiency suddenly becomes a concern as barn stocks dwindle and buying of farmland animals and breeding animals increases.

Acquiring the animals makes good sense if one intends to ever do the menagerie quest. My baby farm, noobbie, was established less than 4 months ago. It now holds the menagerie, has completed the first step of the menagerie quest and completed the first step of the tool submission. That farm is under level 74.

The marketing is quite simple. This farm cannot stop readily prevent another farm from producing an animal. The market price for the most efficient animals to donate is being held. As demand increases other animals are included in that set set of animals and others are picked up as barn stock. And on and on as prices rise.

No concern for a drill on this farm as it is a no RL fund farm. I would look for a S-A-L-E if I wanted drills quickly.

Yeah, other reasons are there but it is there it will be on my farm. But alas, After many nights of math in things it gonna take some doing.

I have always drooled at other's farms, some mighty ones out in them hills I can tell ya! I can remember the 1st I got's it all farm I drooled at was like seeing my 1st:

Soo back to the farm, my buildings are fine. My rework will include the buildings just not at this time. I must get things built and one day I to shall have:

And I am getting sick watching that stupid Donkey jumping up and down in front of the shack Wish it would stand still for just a moment long enough for me to harvest and get out

 

I have found it a bloody bore to keep my menagerie going only because it is probably the only place to increase the chance to get a power drill drop however many weeks of both menagerie going NOTHING. WELL then the tool box sale last week, but it does not include power drills (wonder how many people read it did not include power drills before they bought them I am a culprit of that IDIOT me)....... I have everything else in place all the blueprint etc. This where BP just make me cross and then
turn off I cannot be flipping bothered if there is not the drop needed at least once a week to complete a flipping challenge grrrrrr

As a kid I had a bell on a string above my hamster wheel, every time he used it the soft ting tingle would go on for hours and hours......
Humphrey went to a new home, the dad unit there on the 1st night tore that bell off at 2am. Humphrey came back as he would just sit beside the wheel one paw turning it waiting for the sound. Had to share.

@mingling Certainly don't mind sharing as I feel like it was blind luck. I almost missed it too because I was just trying to farm before going to bed. It came from cat stables.

So far farmers have gotten:

1 drill from Red Donkeys assuming full 4 were red.
1 drill from Rare cat.


Long term and a rare, haven't had any takers on the run mix basic like the ad for the Menagerie shows but it's still early

Now the new building got me wondering, If you do the trees, can you do the tree trick with the auto harvest?

Which will be the priority? get the animal pen to feed the work stalls one <still irks me I ran dry on bunnies> or get the workshop ones and try and remember you will need critters to feed the other?

I read it as one day we may be able to get two of each on every field.... I wounder how many non star/goody buried farmers will run dry on a monthly base.

Run by thoughts... pay them little mind.

 

Hi everyone, just reporting no sign of drills here either ! I guess it will take some time before drop rate improves, as it did with drip tanks etc. I like the idea of these storage areas but think the requirements to get the blueprints are too high. I am using the menagerie and the manufactory so far, saving the arboretum while I decide where best to employ it. Maybe the Island is a good place as the quests ask for a lot of island fruit ... still thinking.
I am certainly not going to buy the storage solutions with BB's.

Just seen that the arboretum isn't available on the island....... !!!
