I defended the menagerie and I also like the manufactory. The upgrades are more expensive, but at least no wood But the arboretum, what can I say

A small comparison:

-	Space saved	Price
2 basic menageries	24 small plots	500 stars + 299 BB
2 basic manufactories	24 small plots	500 stars + 299 BB
2 basic arboretum	4 small plots	415 stars + 199 BB

Per plot saved, the arboretum costs 5 times as many stars and 4 times as many BBs compared the other storehouses.

Now what if we upgrade them? I'll disregard the tools used directly for upgrading and just look at the requirements for the FSQ, compared to space saved:

Fully upgrading 2 menageries	32 small plots	8,000,000	225,000	2,250,000
Fully upgrading 2 manufactories	32 small plots	13,500,000	337,500	3,375,000

Per plot saved:

• The arboretum upgrade costs twice as much in animals as the manufactory upgrade, 3.6 times as much as the menagerie upgrade.
• The arboretum upgrade costs 4.3 times as much in tools and crops/fruits as the manufactory upgrade, 6.4 times as much as the menagerie upgrade.

The menagerie was already expensive, but the arboretum is just far far too expensive

I see it says the limit of 8 slots is due to technical reasons. That sounds to me like a reason to just drop the arboretum. But now that you've made it, please reconsider the price (both for the basic and for upgrading), it is completely out of proportion to the two others.


Those that have thousands of extra stars can always get the arboretum to increase the chance of drills Other than that I don't see much reason to be excited about the arboretum

I see no great benefit for the expense incurred and will not be using stars or BBs to get ANY of the Storage facilities at this time. At least I won't be sweating over the number of drill drops! Change the cost or the benefit and I might reconsider.

 

Right now I am not interested in acquiring Manufactory and Arboretum. I find that as a luxury and not cost worth. I am stopping with the one Menagerie I got from stars. One or two menagerie/manufactory/arboretum is not enough. It should have been more. In my humble opinion menagerie/manufactory/arboretum for 500 stars/ 299 BBs is not worth straining for. I might get manufactory and arboretum when I have sufficient stars. But I will not strain myself to get those starts. Let them happen their own way in their own rate.

 

I agree that thecosts are getting out of hand for what you get
so i buy only the onces you with my stars
but i would pay with BB s i will start to control myself since BP is getting price wise out of control i think

 

Well said Mir! I totally agree.
The aboretum is not at all attractive to me at that cost for the upgrades. I do have the stars when this event is over and may get it just to get drills and then ..... well just keep it as it is.

 

Sorry....Regardless of how many stars and BB's I have....NONE of the new offerings appeal to me at all. Value offered by BP does not equal the expected player value given in return. There is a very unbalanced expectation....scales are tipped way to high in one direction

 

i think they should have just added an orchard and another field for whatever, they are putting too much stuff in this game for the space we have . not spending a dime on this game anymore ,im almost so done with this game.

 

Also keep in mind this is just for mainland fields only. On mainland Maple Sap treefruit has the highest EV .. a whooping 170.

Anyone care to do the profit calculation?

BP team .. guess it's time for a rethink.

 

With all the cloud rows and high EP givers in my park, I find the EP from my fields are not that essential anymore. Market prices for the produce is most often the deciding factor when it comes to what I put on the fields.

 

I didn't buy the menagerie and waited the arboretum, but seeing how it works I'm avoiding it too.

I could take the manufactory as it looks as the less worse, I actually have enough stars, but the upgrading quest is really scary...

Especially with all the people not getting any drill.
So undecided....... Better wait some more and think about it.....

 

Mir 85, I Stopped Focusing on Getting EP Since I unlocked Persian Buttercup. As there is nothing to motivate me to get more EP. I have Turned my park into Amusement Park, using the Special Givers, or Best looking Givers. They are not is the best EP Givers i have.

It is only TEP that rewards me with GB. Better than Leveling up on Main farm which is so boring at my level. I do not touch my EP Cloud Rows only TEP Cloud Rows and Special Cloud Rows. Which Save me lots of Clicking.

I Agree that Arboretum is a huge huge let down. Just to gain an extra 2 x (1x1) for Trees....I cannot believe why Farmerama spend so much time on Developing it. As Producing 6 XXL Trees is not that effective or productive anyway, As you cannot obtain XXL New Rare Trees that has high CC Price in the Markets. Only limits to 20 Hours.
We have more Effective Buffs using Menagerie or Manufactory.

Pineapple Cake Gives us +1 Fruits on All Tropical Trees. There is no +1 Fruit Feature on Main Farm. !! Another reason not to get Arboretum !!

We can Place up to 6 Pink Production Workshops into Manufactory. Ideally they need to have same duration times. But very Expensive to be able to do this in terms of Tools and Breeding Donations.

I read this and even my math skills said what?
I save how many 1x1's that will keep me from just buying whatever tree product I need in difference of growing?
To save space was the idea, 4 plots is not saving a thing in my book, if I can buy it every 20 hours and still not feel the wallet burn of CC gone I don't see the point.
I don't have bells and whistles, no tree CR or fab-u-lish rare tree upgrades heck, I don't have many rare trees, but I did expect to sit here and have to calculate time of each type of rare and see any loss as to mixing them to fill space.

I will not be going for the tree one I will save my pitiful star count and getting them product ones and the rest of my future stars can build and wait for island things.
Poor operation on this one.

 

I like the idea of the manufactury and then I see you have to get the other 2 before you reach it, thats effectively 1500 stars for that last storage thing. I'll have to think again.

Oh the arboretum is such a disappointment after the wait. Just 8 trees in a 2x2 area? Just hopeless..... I will probably spend my stars on one manufactory but I will not be upgrading it or buying a second for BBs.

 

If there really is a technical limit of 8 trees per arboretum.... then make it a 1x1, not a 2x2...
I was looking forward to that one, being able to regain 6 2x2 spaces from 2 arboretums would have meant I could have 2 of each storehouse on the glade without removing any of the current trees or loosing any field space.
The manufactories are fine though.

 

Iam disappointed in the whole setup of the warehouses they deliver too little cost far too much and the nonsense that it is only for players above level 50, I did not understand the game should be fun for young and old without great cost on every level

rich or poor or simply dont want to pay for a game at all

i have a rich farm because i pay for things but i think its getting out of control and i will also start to play different with less expence
and if it means i cant have it all to bad i promise i will try

 

The only good thing I can say is that its cute.
too little for too much.

I had hoped that the mods/designers/developers had heard us. So I saw the Quests and thought, "Yeah, drills!" but no...
So I have pretty things that cost too much and do too little, Save time and space? Really? If you think that it is that much faster to click once rather than 6 times, get a stop watch because I estimate it saves me about 30 seconds...

WOW... uh not.

 

Hmmm that's about the best comment I can make as far as the Arboretum is concerned I, like the fellow farmers above, was really hoping for something that would house more trees than has actually been offered who knows, maybe, in the future we may become lucky enough to have an orchard that would be so lovely I am looking forward to investing in the Manufactory though that is a building to use my stars on I think so, for that I say thank you to BP for trying
