And the herd are back together today... no video, I am afraid as I had to watch for any problems, as being on hand was more important. Maybe tomorrow.
The only major issue was Ana boxing Hector's ears for getting too close to Freya :) but I was on High Alert in case one of the Home paddock herd boxed a baby... But all seems mainly calm...
It's great to have them back together...

All babies inoculated and wormed and the baby boys have their first head collars on.

What a nice herd! So glad everyone is behaving (or being told to behave, lol)! :)

I think the Big Boys are trying to tell me something!

Maybe the babies are spoiling their peace and quiet and it's time for a road trip. :)

Think you are right Sandollar as I left the back open as the Big Boys were enjoying it AND Thor joined them this afternoon. They'll expect cold beers and Sport TV in there next!

Actually a strange afternoon (as said Thor joined the Big Boys) and Lexi, Freya & Loki were laying beside Lotte in Home Paddock shelter. All mothers' were out grazing and leaving the "Home Paddock Herd" to babysit!!! I think the reintegration is going well. :)
    So happy...

That is so sweet that Thor is brave enough to join the "Big Boys"!:inlove: You know it will be Hector who sends out for the cold beer and TV! xDxD It sounds like all is quiet on the farm! Enjoy it while you can!;):)

We have a new Feed Store Raider - Loki
    [IMG]
    And
Only noticed today that Lexi has a white spot appearing on her left antler.
It wasn't there when her buds appeared.
It will be interesting to see if it remains at the base/extends up the antler or quite what happens to it..

A funny today... Wish I could have got it on camera but only lasted a few seconds.
Lexi was out of sight of her mother, so "honked" for a feed. Twiggy came running, Lexi latched on, then so did Lotte (her last year's calf) and also Hector!!! Twig only put up with it for about 5 seconds - I was still trying to find camera from pocket!
HECTOR you have Big Boy antlers now!

    An unrelated photo.

Yes Pooh Twig.. that was her this years baby BUT both last years babies (hers and Katya's) and both those two have "big people" antler.. It was funny! Poor Twig, she hop skipped and jumped out of the way. Small udder on reindeer but 4 teats.

Maybe four teats but not much room for "big people" antlers! Worse than a teething baby! :wuerg:xD

I think I am "out of the Woods" with my babies but just had notification that a friend in Alaska has lost a 6 week old with bloat... :( Once vet arrived it was too late.
She is asking what first aid kit she should have in future...
In that instance, forget first aid kit - puncture rumen and when vet arrives he can administer antibiotics to try to prevent peritonitis... Could I do it, I don't know!! :(
Not out of the woods yet...
If you knew your baby was dying, could you puncture it's guts... I am not sure I could and I hope I never have to make that decision... :(
Sometimes it is very scary caring for livestock.
