I will attempt to get at least 3 of each tree, and applicable miscellaneous-es. Will decide on Harvest Coupon and Party Tickets. Not worth it for me usually...

As they appeared in the market I asume they will become available for BBs at some point. These new trees don't seem to be special trees like Egg Tree and the such..
I agree I could be wrong :) and edited my previous post!

So the real strategy here is to plant trees and once or twice a day harvest them depending on their size. Got it.

Anyone else notice this event starts over the top of the last one? To me, this is getting old, fast.

Nah .. the real strategy is to unload your barn from excessive mainland treefruits and donate donate donate! Or as Broke would say: sell sell sell ..
In this event growing trees is NOT NEEDED. All it gives when one does so is more treefruits and a drop item worth 400CC/each in the donations. Unless the droprate is super high, it's not putting a big dent in the whole task.

Thank you so much forum contributors for explaining a super confusing event. My FOCD has pushed me to collect gobs of tree fruits, of all kinds in the barn. Once again the facts talk about cc, when they really mean the static value, not market prices. I have been collecting a large amount of the highest value tree fruits for just this sort of black hole event. I will be pulling out my spreadsheet to figure out in this topsy-turvy market what to sell, what to keep in the barn for the mill and then I'll donate tree fruit only if it seems reasonable. I really like new trees, but I will be seriously considering the market value before donating anything. Excellent point Habalala, you do NOT need to grow any trees for this event if your barn has plenty to donate. The drops are an extra, event specific donation - if left unused they are worth a meager 50 cc and 50 ep.

Are the Wonderfruit drops worth gifting or are toolboxes still the best gift to send once the tea party ends?

Do we have to do all of the small medium and large or Can we just pick whatever one we would like to do ?
It would be impossible to do all three in three days :wuerg:

Thank you habalala...then i think i will go for the large basket;)

You can pick whatever basket you like but only the large baskets give you the best value in return for your donations. Donating to medium or small baskets means you have to donate (way) more to get an equal number of coins the large basket will give.

And again: you do not need to complete any row of quests. Just figure out what you want, how many star coins that'll take and start filling the baskets untill you reached your goal!

No, it is not quite that simple habalala. Look at level 1 in the three quests
    • Small: 20k EV - 1 star coin
    • Medium: 72k EV - 3 star coins
    • Large: 224k EV - 8 star coins
The medium donation is more than 3 times the small one. The large donation is over 11 times the small one, but only gives 8 coins. So in level 1 the small basket is the best. But as the levels increase medium and large become the better choice.

I am working on the numbers now.

Lots of brain exercise here! xD

I want to do this all myself without getting things from making a quick buck on someone else's work this time xD Gonna produce it all myself.

    Goal: one comic book sticker.
    Cost: one joke coin

    Strategy:
    • Put out 84 angel supplied apple trees
    • 84 x 4 = 336 delicious red apples
    • 336 delicious red apples x EV of 60 = 20,160 total EV
    • need only 20,000 for one joke coin
    • 20,160 to dump less 20,000 needed is 160 left over
    • Whaaat! 160 left? Just taking my hard grown stuff. I want my change or I'll make a quick buck off someone's work! >:(>:(
Makes me so angry >:( I'll just take a quick 160 Million out of that market for my troubles >:(>:(

So this event is very interesting, and in the end it depends on how many star coins you need for whatever goals you have.

    SD= Small Donation
    MD= Medium Donation
    LD= Large Donation
    (#)= Running Star Coin Total
= is the total EV needed to donate to reach this point.

This list shows the order in which the coin stars are cheapest per coin star.

    SD1 (1) 20000
    SD2 (2) +24000 = 48000
    MD1 (5) +72000 = 116000
    MD2 (8 ) +82800= 198800
    SD3 (9) +28000= 226800
    LD1 (17) +224000= 450800
    LD2 (25) +246400= 697200
*** Hard to explain, but effectively after this point, if you’ve completed LD through 20, then it’s smarter to do the first few levels of LD again than to continue on through SD or MD. It may also be smarter to stop at this point and only complete LD. Again, this all depends on how many stars you are looking to acquire.
    MD3 (28 ) +93600= 790800
    SD4 (29) +32000= 822800
    LD3 (37) +266800= 1089600
    MD4 (40) +104400= 1194000
    SD5 (41) +36000= 1230000
    LD4 (49) +291200= 1521200
    MD5 (52) +115200= 1636400
    LD5 (60) +336000= 1972400
*** At 60 Star Coins you can buy one of each tree, the PF, SG, GB, and the Stars.
    SD6 (61)
    MD6 (64)
    LD6 (72)
    SD7 (73)
    LD7 (81)
    MD7 (84)
    LD8 (92)
    SD8 (93)
    MD8 (96)
    LD9 (104)
    SD9 (105)
    MD9 (108 )
    LD10 (116)
    LD11 (124)
    SD10 (125)
    MD10 (128 )
    LD12 (136)
    MD11 (139)
    SD11 (140)
    LD13 (148 )
    MD12 (151)
    SD12 (152)
    LD14 (160)
    LD15 (168 )
    MD13 (171)
    SD13 (172)
    LD16 (180)
    MD14 (183)
    SD14 (184)
    LD17 (192)
    MD15 (195)
    LD18 (203)
    SD15 (204)
    MD16 (207)
    LD19 (215)
    SD16 (216)
    LD20 (224)
*** At this point in time it wouldn't be practical or beneficial to finish any of the SD or MD. As noted before, it’s generally better to do the LD again.
    LD1 (232)

As Mooboy pointed out, we can get quite a lot with just four harvests of full maple tree's we can get quite a lot of barn EV.
It should also be noted that tree's drop Teabags for the current event. This means that if you're done with the crops from the tea event, you can put out tree's and get a head start for another day or so.

Everything added together, if you just want the bare minimum like myself, it's going to take another 400000 EV if you were to farm maple for the entire event. Some of this will be made up from the event drop, but the rest of it will come from our barns.

If I've worked it out correctly you need to spend more on the first 8 levels of small donations, to get 8 coins, than on first level of large donations to also get 8 coins. So I'm going to go for the large donations.
Just reread the previous post about working out how much each coin costs at each level. Seems a better plan, so I may go with that!
Lets see what anyone else comes up with, not sure what I will do by the time Monday comes.

That is correct. The second and third level of large donations are also cheaper than the first 8 small baskets. But after that each large basket is more expensive than the first 8 small baskets. So only doing large baskets is not that good in the long run.

The optimal strategy is to follow Decree's list. If you do SD1, SD2, MD1 and MD2 you get 8 star coins and it is cheaper than the first large donation :)

Edit: Sorry, you have already worked that out :) I didn't see your edit.

I've tried to find the cheapest ways to get different sets of prizes. If anyone finds cheaper alternatives, please let us know :) I've included the sticker, if you don't want it, just do one less of the small donations ;)

Miscellaneous prizes - 24 star coins
    • 2 small, 2 medium and 2 large
    • Total EV: 669,200
Miscellaneous prizes & one set of trees - 64 star coins
    • 6 small, 6 medium and 5 large
    • Total EV: 2,118,000
Miscellaneous prizes & two sets of trees - 104 star coins
    • 8 small, 8 medium and 9 large
    • Total EV: 3,972,800
Miscellaneous prizes & three sets of trees - 144 star coins
    • 10 small, 10 medium and 13 large
    • Total EV: 6,245,200
Miscellaneous prizes & four sets of trees - 184 star coins
    • 14 small, 14 medium and 16 large
    • Total EV: 8,906,800
Miscellaneous prizes & five sets of trees - 224 star coins
    • 16 small, 16 medium and 20 large
    • Total EV: 11,984,000
    -------------------------------

If you first get the miscellaneous prizes then:
    • The first set of trees costs 1,448,800 EV
    • The second set of trees costs 1,854,800 EV
    • The third set of trees costs 2,272,400 EV
    • The fourth set of trees costs 2,661,600 EV
    • The fifth set of trees costs 3,077,200 EV

Anyone know if the tree fruit will be reg + the event fruit or does it all change to event only? And if it will count as tree you have < 2 friut per type of tree> or just one event fruit per tree of event?

I'm trying to figure out how many trees to put up to use just new stuff for one each of the new trees. 40 star coins.

The wonderfruit is just like any event drop (except it only drops from trees). So you get the regular fruit from your tree and maybe a wonderfruit drop.
