Got 2 sets of trees, and the misc. Now to restock that barn. Thank you 12, Mir and everyone. Good luck to all

 

This may sound stupid but what should I have out for drops? I have all my fields bar a few workshops full of trees. I just thought while this is a tree fruit event it would be a good chance to focus on having all my trees out, but after only being able to donate S1 and S2 from the wonderfruit (with some left over), I'm now thinking I should perhaps change strategy if I want at least one set of trees and all the miscellaneous (bar that silly sticker!). Any advice much appreciated.
Usually I don't have a problem working this out but this being a tree event has thrown me a bit lol.
My brain is on holiday, due back in September .

Drops only come from trees. You can donate mainland fruits as well as the wonderfruit drops. You can get drops from tropical trees but cannot donate tropical fruit. To maximize your drops, put out all your trees on all your fields (or as many as you have). Good luck!

I was unable to finish the last two quests, so I threw everything I could into this one, but I saved apples and walnuts. It surprised me. The drops are slow, I had about 46. I did it the way Mir worked it out. I hope this helps.

RL just has not been conducive to farming lately. My trees got in late and only half were ready for harvest, but I will leave trees up for max drops, selling and restocking throughout the event. My purchases of key tree fruit at very low prices earlier this year have proven to be a great investment!
Thanks to Mir's lovely chart, I determined three sets plus miscellaneous (minus sticker) were good for me. I may do a bit more for an extra tree or so when the drops are built up.

I have 1 set of trees and all misc. except for the 50 x super-gro, which I am in the process of getting along with a second set of trees.

I really want to thank those who did all the mental gymnastics for us. I have been following Decree's chart right down the line and it is priceless. Thank you Decree, 12ss, Mir, Mooboy and the rest for your hard work.

Preparing for TOP 1000 and want to sell your tree fruit?

If you are preparing to compete you have already taken the risk that the event will be held. By gathering mainland tree fruit one has assumed that tree fruit donation will be allowed as in the past. If you wish to sell there is an available alternative investment. With it comes the risk that one will be allowed to donate products.

• The shift is done by selling the mainland tree fruit and acquiring parrot feathers (EV 1,864).

There is another alternative. Use of this alternative carries the risk that high EV BAHA tree fruit will also be allowed to be donated.

• The shift is done by selling the mainland tree fruit and acquiring high EV BAHA tree fruit.

The above is not as attractive as the first alternative. The reason is because the high EV BAHA tree fruit has risen in price on many markets. Therefore, the market to EV rate used to acquire will rise and may not prove worth the effort.

This farm has been constantly gathering parrot feathers at the same market to EV rate as used to acquire tree fruit. This farm has already taken the risk but as far as the cost of EV this makes absolutely no difference in outcome.

Caution should be used especially if one has an income source and sells mainland tree fruit and acquires parrot feathers. The reason is due to the availability of parrot feathers at one's present market to EV rate.

Also, the present event provides very good practice. Say one is preparing and DOES NOT have what is needed in an area. (This can happen so do not be alarmed.) This individual will have about one week in order to make the shift from an item not needed to an item that is needed. One week is not a lot of time and success without undue losses will depend upon the quantity one is trying to forcefully liquidate in order to acquire.

 

I Have Harvested my first Batch of Silk Tree, Chaste Tree,Salt Cedar Tree and HawThorn Tree. The Fruit Exchange Value of these Trees is 160 EV same as the EP it Gives.

These New Trees has same Exchange Value as Almond Tree of 160 EV too.

Therefore there is no difference to which Tree has Better EV as they are all the Same. I Manage to buy 3 of these new Fruits from from the Markets Currently Value about 200 CC each.

It will be Interesting to see how how High they will sell for in the Markets. As I am watching closely compare it to very rare Fruit Trees. They have lower Exchange Value but Sell for very Good CC.

One way to recover Fruit Trees Consumed getting the Miscellaneous Prizes and Four New Fruit Trees. Which i will be doing to sell Fruits that gets good CC. Buy up any Fruits that has a High Exchange Value ready for Hoedown Event.

Broke I am too snapping up Parrot Feathers in the Markets when i can as I have 19 Parrot Feather Trees on my Island. Using Pineapple Cake is huge Help as i gain an extra 372 Tropical Fruits. One Field is Full of Goji Fruits which has Exchange Value of 444 EV

 

My tiny brain does not have the capacity to do such big calculations and comparisons. So I leave them to stalwarts like broke, mooboy, mir, decree, habalala and others. I am following mir's chart.

If I really use my brain. I should have gone for miscellaneous prizes and one set of trees and should have sold my tree fruits for good price. But you see I couldn't follow what was reasonable and bought 3 sets.

I am not wasting any of my turbo mulch for this event. So I am reasonable to that effect and patting myself for taking that good decision.

Myself I am doing as Meba and waiting so I can use every event fruit I can. Maybe I will get lucky and get two sets!

Have more trees than I know what to do with.

I need 128 arboretums to even begin to put a dent in the tree inventory.

I expect it is native somewhere, though... (cannot be bothered to google and find out). For the "uninitiated" pretty much any non-native species that spreads will become a "noxious" item, be it a plant or animal. Each ecosystem is like a finely tuned machine. Add anything that does not belong, no matter how "pretty" or even necessary in another environment and it will cause trouble in the new area.

 

I have purchased 5 sets of trees and all the miscellaneous items on this farm, two sets of trees and all miscellaneous items on the other two farms. Finished with it now - no more of my precious fruit going into that big hole! I was also going to have a go at HH this year but I think this event showed me that I am not yet ready so next year it is. I am nearly at the point where I want my trees out all the time and, though bearing in mind all the unknowns that Farmerbroke has pointed out (such as maybe no fruit accepted, maybe no HH at all!), I will be working for at least one of my farms to participate next year ... unless another event like this one makes a similar dent in my inventory!

Thank you Mir and Decree and everybody else who did the sums. I did slip up once because I wasn't paying attention and clicked once to often on a large basket (fruit gone in a flash, didn't have time to miss it!) but all in all I followed the guidance and got everything I wanted. I liked this event - not exactly easy but relaxed!

Didn't really think the drops were that useful. Made little or no impact on those big baskets!

I am already broke. Only have 1.7 millions. I with great sadness have to impart this news to you, broke - We don't need your tree to be broke. Your posts takes care of that aspect.

But it seems mingling needs you tree. Be careful. He might wrap up those rice cakes which even birds there won't eat there in CAC label and give them to you. He has lots & lots of them. His bats refuse to eat them.

Now have 10 starcoins. Inkie pinkie ponkie...which tree do I have to choose ??

I got all the misc. items and 2 sets of trees. I think I go back for 2 more set of trees. Broke help

 

I've got one set of trees, the SG, PF, 10 x stars, 5 x party tickets and 5 x GB's so far .

Am hoping to get another set of trees also but will let the wonderfruit add up first. They may not be huge in numbers even though I have every field covered in trees, but I'm still pleased of them to at least reduce the amount of tree fruit required out the barn.
I'm following Decree's list which has been a god send!!
