Shipwreck Summer - Strategy

I am messing with this Event. Do not know what I am doing. There is no event timer in the farm too. That makes it difficult to plan. Like iily said, the drops might be difficult to get.

I use my CAC for myself during events & send some to my Chickadee chicks now and then. but not regularly.

 

Makes two of us then 12ss12 ... I haven't got a clue ...if i make it to the end then fine ..if i don't then i am not bothered... at least i tried
Have tried a couple of times and got the STICKER ..that put me off ...i didn't want it lol

Event Progress Update:
I have Grown over 20,000 Buckwheat so Far, Also have 501 Baitworms. But I am still Short on Baitworms to Make at Least 75 Fish Foods.

So I will Plant Artichokes to Stock up my supply of Artichokes as I doing Artichokes Refinements.... I will continue to grow Buckwheat on Bahamarama. As I have not need to grow any Baha Crops, As I still have CAC Running in Diamond Slot, so Make the Most of It.

CAC is my Market has Reached 80,000 CC. As I do have a Cloud Row that gives me an CAC Every 48 Hours, Which Helps me Making CAC for Events. At certain Events we can win CAC. Also doing certain Quests Rewards us with CAC.

Yes there are many Newbie Farmers All Wanting CAC to help complete Growing Event Junks, As The Price of Tomatoes and Mushrooms have Gone up in Market Prices anyway....Which itself have push up prices of Crafting CAC for those whom have got Level 4 Confectionary Artisan Craft. But will still need 70 Sugar to Craft an CAC. Which has also pushed up the Cost of Obatzda in my Market to 65000 Each as Each Obatzda Boost Sugar Drops by 10%

We have certain refinements that Boost Drops of sugar too. But Beady Eye Jelly Boost Sugar Drops by 50% which is more Effective than Obatzda. But hardly any of us can Make Beady Eye Jelly. So they are worth getting from the Markets for those who need to boost drops of Sugar.

I always work out weather to buy CAC from The Markets or to Make Them onto of my CAC Cloud Row. I did buy lots of cheap CAC but used them all up

Poo has sold out in my Markets Now, So it will take longer to Grow Event Junks without Manure. As I just be using Water anyway, it will be interesting to see how high poo will reach but wait and see

In terms of CC that I have as getting step nearer to that 1 Billion CC Marker

I am now going to Clear some Seaweeds, Crabs and Krakens, Have some fun at Fake Seaside

I am going for the cloud row, all new items, all krakens & crabs. Leaving old items and unnecessary seaweed. I think 99 fishfeed should be enough for that, only need 10 more harvests of buckwheat

 

Am going for CR first based on ChayaAvery's strategy. Then come back for the extras, crabs, chests and krakens...

 

Just pottering along on my planned route, I move about 5 steps every 4 hours, not soing so well with drops. Hey ho, all good fun.

I too came to the conclusion, if I make it fine, if not, its also fine. Not going to loose anything great.

So far progressed 30 %. I need more drops, drops, drops....So switching over to long night crops from the next harvest.

 

following the easy way first to get the CR sometime tomorrow morning i think
am now on 40% and step 139 so 24 staps more and then i reach step 182 wich will give me the CR
had yesterday a bit luck with the FarmWheel 100% harvest bonus have now an extra 7000 event crops left and one more harvest to go before the bonus runs out then i can put for tonight the Carnations in
dont think it will be easy to finish this event compleet

I think I should be on track with the event crop, so on track I decided to use the glade for pumpkin growth and chicken cackle with the odd egg production. I hope the pumpkin offers a little bit better drop, and the chicken poo a few pennies.

 

Decided to do this event differently and have some patience - grow first and then donate everything. I'm going for the cloud row and items and will then go back and get the crabs and krackens for the extras. Thanks to all for the numbers and routes.

 

when I harvested carnations on the first morning I got pretty decent drops but since then ive planted trees on the outside and carnations over night my drops are horrible I don't know what to do to fix it any ideas should I take the trees back off?

 

I don't have any idea what worms eat, but I'm pretty sure the chickens eat the worms - that was a horrible for the drop. And ofc now everybody else have got their crop too, so prices are dropping like a rock. Lesson learned until next event. Then I'm sure I can do the same mistakes again

I had to stop as it was all becoming a blur: seaweed 131 or 128 or maybe 132??

I like the idea of the Event, and that they have listened to us about a variety in the Events, but this is stupid.

Why couldn't they have numbered the seaweed, krakens and crustaceans in the game just as they did in the FAQ's? Would have made it so much more pleasant and avoided the need to check between 3 different pages every time I made a move.

Oh well, guess I would scream if it was too easy to, and I've come this far so I might as well finish

I'm not screaming....yet. But I am near fist pumping. This event has become a bore & a chore.

 

So I was just looking at the FAQ for the "Ocean Day" to see what value the givers have. That event was listed as "Hard".
Seaweed crop-17300
Salt drops 1420
Plumes 490 (we had to build those and set in Baha)
Is this event listed as "Medium"? If so, I don't want to see what the "Hard" is anymore. I am plugging away, doing event crop on all 4 fields during the day and switching to long crops in a couple of fields(depending on how much poo I have collected in the rainforest) I think this is the best way for me to go so I can keep up with event crops and drops Keep at it guys!!

 

I'm plugging away, but I'm not planning on finishing. My main problem is there aren't enough keys. I can't open the chests as I get to them and I had to waste a key on the darn sticker.
