Feedback Shipwreck Summer

I found the event a tad bit boring. Struggle to keep track in the maze, which makes the whole thing less enjoyable. I like the fact that even with almost nothing you can participate and receive rewards, and that you to some degree and pick and choose. But I find myself wondering where I am in the maze, asking myself where is the next step towards my goal, and not what is my next goal.
Numbering the seaweeds might been helpful, or a way for me to dot down the desired route.

Also the need to grow event crop in 4 fields if I want to do as much of the event as possible makes the event a bit dull. I have the time to grow lettuce and carrots (summer holiday!!), but due to the fact I want to play the event - the game makes me stay away for 4hours. A better solution I think would be to limit the event crop to just main field, and adjust the amount needed.

For the amount of crops we are having to grow ...drops are not good and machinery wasn't on offer to helpwith these amount of crops

To be honest i wish i hadn't started this event and carried on restocking my farm
Have done 52% and have 8 bait worms left... all basically i have been using these for are 1000 of either ep tep or CC from search... to move along

Not finding it fun and wont be finishing it ...i have had enough of the confused numbering between the FAQ and the lack of them in the event which would probably have made this a little easier and more pleasant to play

 

I usually try to do all the events, I am looking for cloud rows, but I’m not sure this one was worth it. The layout was fun to navigate and the graphics are cute. The number of crops is way too high, prizes gathered along the way do not make up for the time and effort required.
I did finish, by buying my way through, over two hundred dollars US!!! Then they gave us more time, I kicked myself for that decision but I had so much work into it I did not want to waste it. For the farmers who do pay real money for the events, and I’m sure BP really likes those who do, I do not think that any event should cost that much. The baskets needed more buckwheat or the fish food should have required less.

 

im not getting this event i am so confused as to which way to go it wont let me click where i want to i have one screen with one seaweed n one trunk n cant open them . but i am really not crazy enough to spend 200.00 dollars on any game . i would rather donate it to an animal rescue group.

 

OMG have just converted two hundred dollars in GBP ....that's an awful lot of money
Donna Lynn if you were short of drops? or ever are ... go to SOS ...Illy got this together to help us all when we needed it ...people would send you drops to help...it's a brilliant idea ...have used it when i needed help

 

After reading the FAQ on this event I decided then not to do this event. Like others have said, I'm not happy with the back to back to back to back events, especially when they start overlapping with dismal rewards. I do understand that these events are not mandatory but whether the player wants to participate or not. This player has decided not to do any more events until the rewards are worth it AND I get some of the regular quests completed, with Noah's Ark being one

 

I really liked the idea of this event - thought what fun! But when it came to the actual event found the maze way too long & very confusing. Looking at event info everything was numbered but when you are actually doing the game you get lost as nothing is numbered & you are only seeing a small section of the whole maze which disappears as you do them. Also found as other players mentioned that the rewards were very disappointing and the drops hard to come by. I will try to finish to get the cloud row but since we are down to the last 2 days think that I will be short on drops.

 

I haven't attempted the "Maze" yet but I noticed this bit of advice in the strategy thread which I thought might be handy when I do get round to it:

Fun is the only reason I play, be it the game, events or the great members fun has to be in the top.

This was not fun for me, the words I said to myself back when you had to buy to play games I will not buy a new one till I finish the current one.
I still have Alice mcgee, why? I had postie notes all around my computer just to play. Boring.
If I have to draw maps it better be worth it, and aside the board after board.... the game itself is a pain.
I click on the farm map I get sent to the game, I click on seedweed just to have it boot me and have to do it all over again, the button to feed it fishfood may feed it may not wait 5 min. a food just to have to do them all again when booted.
Why not chill out, make games with good prizes and tested before they are thrown out to us? If you test it the game won't be slow, tree gifts will work and all that.
Nice idea, but a let down as to fun. I went for the extras, not to finish, it's gonna be a new way to play it seems just not bothering with em at all.

 

I do like the concept of this event, but it needs to be sized down! There is way too much seaweed to get through. Growing the event crops on all available fields only gives enough drops for about 2 or 3 patches of seaweed per harvest. BP continues to ignore the drop problem in this game, and it seems worse with this event. Really, 13 drops to clear one little patch of seaweed with well over 100 patches!?!! Yes, I know you don't have to do them all, but really. I feel all my work in the game to maximize drops has gone to waste.
I used to buy requirements to finish an event if I was close, but no more.

I really think this has become less of a game and more of a money pit. Don't mean to offend anyone, but is it really a "game" if you can buy your way through it? That, of course is a personal choice, but that will drive this game more and more to the money pit side of things. When I started playing this game it didn't feel that way. I guess I continue to play because I feel like I've "invested" so much into the game (time, neighbors, etc.), but I'm spending less and less time and money, and am not so obsessive about finishing things or finding space to place things, etc. I guess that is a good thing - no more FOCD!

 

I have to say that this is not a very good game. It is discouraging if anything. The price for feed is too high, and even though the prizes are not the greatest that did not bother me as much as I do not have the time to play. I do work all day and get to harvest the fields 1 time per day. Hard to make enough buckwheat.
I Wish some of the quests would consider players that can not be on the computer for hours on end.

It could have been fun but the huge lack of drop items completely spoils all the good aspects.
I have spent 15 euros for baskets (really too much for just a online game) and I'm not near at all at finishing.
I really regret to have spent that money and I will think twice before spending again for something in this game.

Pros:
Like the new mechanism
No milling for fish food
Prizes were pretty good
Barn amounts were reasonable
Could pick your way through the maze
Time of crop
Additional set of EP givers if you wanted them and givers from an older event if you wanted/needed them

Cons:
The maze was a bit confusing to navigate as it could be hard to find your place when you had to return later
At first glance, it was a bit overwhelming, but I was more confident after a fellow farmer posted in strategy the path to follow
The number of tasks was too many - the tasks could have been condensed and the event much more enjoyable
Medium labeling is misleading
High number of crops
Too many events too close together

Pnp has broke down the pros and cons perfectly. I agree with her post completely. I think this is the first event that I have not completed in full since I was able to. Just no desire to finish, to boring, to many crops, no FOCD.
When you start overwhelming your long time players with long, boring, uninspiring events with massive amounts of junk crops to grow you will lose some not gain anything. If it excites me I don't mind using my SG to get extra drops. Make the rewards worth the effort and I'm all in....full swing FOCD.

 

I actually did enjoy this one to an extent - because I decided what I wanted and stuck to it; no need to complete the whole thing. The FAQ kindly numbered the board for us but it would be far better if it had been numbered in the game too so we didn't get lost and confused as the maze was just too massive not to get lost repeatedly.

 

ok, who ever came up with this one, need's to be taken behind the barn,the screen is so hard to follow it's not funny.
