There are 3 "direction" I can go:
Route 1 : UP UP Up and the trophies works on all fields.
Route 2: Boom Boom shake the Room, Breeding runes to the right.
Route 3: down the dra... I mean root to the rain forest.

I am a lazy player, that have tendency to stray from the path. As I am unfocused and casual, my aim would be to stray towards the direction that would be better for the long term, and help me towards completing more quests and ultimately more events.

Pro for route one would be increased drops, as the trophies would work on all fields. I could ofc move them around now, but lets be honest and realistic - I would forget, and it feels like work. (been there done that, and failed.) Con is ofc the amount of stars needed are high, and not really benefiting towards the quests which would offer more stars.

Route 2: It's breeding, it's cheap, it's breeding...but is it really more useful than 1 and 3 in turns of progressing?

Route 3: More room for trees and animals, would perhaps help on those almost mythically golden bananas. Then again, I don't have that many trees, or stalls..... (or CC to buy more)

What do you guys think/advise/dice roll ?

Ps I have 65 stars at the moment.

I would go for the rainforest first. Even if you don't have many trees or stalls, you'll have more space to grow event crops, and get more event drops. And it will definitely help with TEP & golden bananas :)

After that I would go UP UP UP! I really disliked moving the trophies...

    Good luck! :D

As Mir said, go for the rainforest first. It is a major help in the events which allow its use and is a must for leveling up speedily on the island.

Also, in following Mir's advice to go up the tree for the LL rune, you will open branch for the breeding runes. If you are to go off the path for the LL rune, that is the branch to take IMHO - as we have so many breeding events. Getting the baby boom rune open should be among your priorities.

When I was working up the tree, before the rainforest was created, I would alternate opening a rune going up the tree with a breeding branch rune. Getting those extra breeding animals has helped immensely with events and PF effectiveness.
Best of luck in your chosen path!:)

I agree with the advise Mir gives. Given the choices you present, opening up any and all available fields first definately gives you the best profit in the long run. By the time you've gathered enough stars to open up the Rainforrest, you'll also have gained more than enough BAHA crops trees and pens to fill it up without blinking your eyes.

After you're done with the Rainforrest aim for the LL rune. It's a long long way to get it filled but at least you're done with the trophies the moment you open it. But .. DO NOT HESSITATE or regret when you open up any of the side paths on the trees whenever you think/feel it's wise to do so. The Tree offers many goodies.

    Wish you happy star chasing!

So three votes for the rain forest hmmm, and then aim for the sky.
Any other thoughts about it ?

I received advice similar to what Mir and Willow wrote. Went for the rainforest, even though it meant giving up so many hard won stars! I am half way up the tree, having stopped only to get the breeding runes opened (as Willow mentioned) which has made the last few breeding events much more successful! Looking further than the tree top isn't in the cards right now.:wuerg: Way too many stars to earn!

Edit - o_Ops! Forgot to say I haven't opened all the breeder starter packs, just a couple. That way I could get to the BB rune for triplets and then start back up the tree!

Yeah, the starter pack isn't all that interesting at the moment. Do you enjoy your rainforest? I could potential go breeding branch now, but then it's the top and bottom. Ahhh so many runes, so few stars!

The Neblon exchange gave me a fantastic push, hope the next one will push me further.... somewhere

I play like you, where today's direction may be forgotten in tomorrow's dreams! But the beauty of this game is that there is lots of 'right' ways to play.
Mir85 has been playing forever-ish and gives really good advice, so please heed her direction and go for the rainforest first. Even if you only fill it with crops for a start, the tropicalEP will turn into golden bananas eventually.
The LL rune is your route to autodrops from all fields without shifting trophies, and drops give you (amongst other things) tools to get workshops . Getting one of each workshop will give you access to more stars as most workshops have a permanent quest for the products that you make.
Also there are lots of stars available by breeding one set of coloured animals for each.
For example, by breeding one speckled goat, you get one star and have access to the third level of the FSQ Deranged goats, which is base goats and you get 6 more stars for 25 goats.
And this applies for every breeding animal. Please only breed during a Baby Boom, for better rewards...

I would go for the Rainforest first too.:) It will provide a sound foundation for many other aspects of the game. I actually didn't mind lugging the trophies around as it just became habit and so LL was not the first aim I had on the tree.

You all seem to agree :) Thank you all for your advice, the new event also voted rainforest before anything else so rainforest it is.

You really cannot go wrong with more space. Which in turn allows for you to earn more stars.

I agree about the Rainforest. Afterwards go up but I recomend not getting everything, some runes are useless when you have limited stars. Don't unlock all runes to get a larger water tower or manure pile, just unlock the first and move to more important runes. Another example is the breeder starters. They are 23 runes for that just open one so you can unlock the next rune to reduce the breeding hours from 6 hours to 5 hours!
Do not take any rush decisions and think if it will worth it spending your stars for one rune. You did well asking here what you should go for first. Keep asking if you have any doubts about a rune.

Lands first, including rainforest. Then.. straight up. You want to open up the trophy space (the top rune) as early as possible so you don't have to move your trophies around for every event. As stated, you don't have to open up all the levels of all the trophies en route. Get the trophy space and then come back to do the rest, though its nice to get the neighbor runes and I wanted the vacation rune early on.

If I could go back in time I would go for the Rainforest right away.

I gives you a large field to grow your Baha crops and you would not even have to waste bananas to open additional fields on the island to progress with your quests.

With this you will have a double advantage: earn stars and save bananas for the crops you need for more quests.

Do you have this rune? Can you use it more than once? I haven't unlocked it because I don't understand how it works:oops:

  17. woody

    woody Commander of the Forum

I have it and have used it.
You can use it twice a year and it can last up to 4 weeks. To activate it, select the button with the gears at the top, then click on the one with the wrench (third down on the left) and click "activate vacation mode". If you do that, you won't get weeds, your neighbor bar won't go down (though its good to let your neighbors know you are leaving and for roughly how long), and you can save up to 5 spins from fuzzles, etc.

Note --there are 2 other versions that you can purchase, they are one-time only uses, though I believe you can buy them multiple times.

Woody what would happen if I activate the vacation mode and I log in? Will the vacation mode end?

No, vacation mode once started runs to completion.

Yep, thank you Cassiopeia! If I remember correctly, you can turn it off early, but then it is gone for that session. That is, if you start it, then turn it off after 3 days, you don't get the remaining 3+ weeks, but will still have the other 4 weeks left (unless, of course you already used it).

I don't know when the reset occurs, whether it is at your joining anniversary or 365 days from the use.
