My numbers. Hope they're right!

Race 1: 44 steps
Race 2: 60 steps
Race 3: 65 steps (68 says EN FAQ, but 65 GER and ITA)
Race 4: 71 steps
Race 5: 64 steps

It's better to mill the XXL than the XL and than the regular biofuel, so we need:

Race 1: 7 xxl 2 regular Biofuel
Race 2: 10 xxl
Race 3: 10 xxl 1 xl 2 regular
Race 4: 11 xxl 1 xl 2 regular
Race 5: 10 xxl 1 xl 1 regular

Total:
48 xxl
3 xl
7 regular

Then the total requirements are:

event plant: 18290
drop item: 1021
sunflower: 2559

Now, if you want to move up and down to collect specific prizes, just mill more regular biofuel.

My chameleon biofuels should be considered at least 6 steps

 

What I'm failing to comprehend is how the six step fuel will allow me to collect prizes that I want. Do I change lanes for each 2-step level, or the XXL fuel locks in a six step jump in that lane before I can change???

 

*sigh* Sure hope this hard event is as easy as the last few hard events were, and nowhere near as difficult as the mediums.

 

I think the xxl fuel will lock you Bhodo as it moves you ahead 6 steps...

I am doing the calculations on one switch per race right now trying to minimize that because it cost 1 bio fuel extra to switch lane but I want the pf, stars and wood so looking for a way to get that with a minimum of cost. I like that we can do it though.

can you see where the FAQs differ? In what step?

 

My brain hurts ... I need less job, or easier events, sigh. Will give this one a pass.

I second that emotion! My first thought was - can I be bothered? Within about two shakes of a pig's wiggly tail, I decided that, I have more than a week off (days off, not holidays so all could be lost if I get a call to go in!), so I can pull out a couple of fields. I now have decided to get the crops done quicker over the four fields and get my trees back out asap (if drops allow)! See, I have got this FOCD under control!

It looks pretty tough and I really don't like it when we have to use the mill - all my mill slots are usually full. But I will let them lapse and mill when they are empty. Only a couple of hours milling time needed ... I think!

What will be different this time, I will follow the advice of those who have good strategy skills and not stumble and trip over the prizes. I am determined to get what I want, what I really, really want, this time!

Ok, one day before event start, FAQ come out,
and...........I just harvest all my field..
Most important:
I log in forum.
OK, prepare my field. Still don't torn all my field, I love mix farming.
Just let the Baha main field full with trees, rain forest in mix farming.
main farm field had plant Carnation in comfort field,
then left it until tomorrow event start.
Hope to get good drops.. Junks again over many thousands

 

To get the bat I need to do level 4 out of 5.

And that is only if you don't switch too much between the lanes

Well, I am going for this one - the whole thing and switchin too . My priorities are in this order: pf, GB, wood and stars.

My path to get through will be like this:

Race 1: bottom lane 1-6 takes 2 xxl fuel.
top lane 7-22 takes 5 xxl fuel and 2 regular.
one switch takes 1 regular.

Race 2: top lane all the way. Takes 10 xxl fuel.

Race 3: top lane 1-5 takes 1 xxl, 1 xl and 1 regular fuel.
bottom lane 6-9 takes 2 xxl fuel.
top lane 10-28 takes 7 xxl and 1 regular fuel.
2 switch takes 2 regular.

Race 4: bottom lane all the way takes 11 xxl, 1 xl and 2 regular fuel.

Race 5: bottom lane 1-16 takes 6 xxl, 1 xl and 1 regular fuel.
top lane 17-26 takes 4 xxl fuel
1 switch takes 1 regular.

I will be needing 48 xxl, 3 xl and 11 regular fuel.

Event crop: 18550
drops: 1037
Sun flowers: 2607

I hope I got the numbers right.

I will rip my farm except for the rain forest and plant Rye on 1*1 plots all over.

mingling - are you talking about the EP giver bat plane? That's the Loop the Loop and won at the end of Race 2. Sorry if I have misunderstood what you mean but just wanted to let you know it wasn't in Race 4.

 

Dazed and confused it seems. Thank-you pnp I want that giver! Thanks to Meba I got a path, but I have one goal.
I remember I squeezed by on the puppy race I will try this one but if I only get the bat I am happy.
Back to reading the facts.... seems I still don't get it.

How to play the game ?

• You have to complete Race 1 to unlock Race 2,3 & 4.
• You can do race 2, 3, & 4 in any order
• From race 2, you can do more than one races at the same time.
• Race 5 is final & you can do that only after you have finished 1,2,3 & 4.
• In each race you have to choose between the top lane and bottom lane rewards.
• You can go from bottom lane to top lane & top lane to bottom lane, any time you wish.
• you can change at any step to any lane.
• For switching lanes for different rewards, you need to use the button behind your plane.
• Every time you shift between lanes, you have to use one Bio fuel.
• You can only go forward. So you cannot travel back and later claim a prize, you have missed.
• So be careful in choosing your prize and before clicking.
• You can advance 1 race step with 1 x Biofuel;
• You can advance 3 race steps with 1 x Biofuel XL;
• You can advance 6 race steps with 1 x Biofuel XXL.

The picture below is us. Arrow behind us help us to switch the lanes. 3 arrows in front is through which we advance 1, 2 or 3 steps.

 

Meebs, why Rye as opposed to Carnations? Or even Spelt?
Is it because you have refinements for rye?

For those following my chart beware that I prefer pf to GBs! You can get 2 GBs in race 4 where I take the pf instead.

Because Rye is the longest timed crop I hold the least of I don't even know if I have refinements for it. Spelt and Carnations are probably a little better for drops - I hope to get them anyway though usually that's not a problem for me.

 

Thanks 12ss12, but can you go back? I seem to be stuck on memories of puppy race and when done a race it's over. Here it shows givers as reward for both columns? at same time. Does this mean we can only get the giver one time?
I got a shot on ming to get it, I want it to be the 1st giver on my shipwreck but not seeing the path to a freebie giver/2nd giiver.

 

No switching for me. I can't get what I want with the XXL fuel so it will just be full steam ahead in one lane...

 

ming - you cannot get a 2nd set of the givers this time. You cannot go back so you have to pick how you want to go whether you switch from top to bottom, bottom to top, or just stay in one lane.
