Don't like that we can only use limited fields for 4 crops.
Do like: no drops, the mechanisms, pretty crops.

I waited to make comments, but I am afraid my opinion has not increased that much.

Overall, I think a lot of the above comments can be summed by saying not just that you are offering WAY too many events too often, and offering nothing for the long-time, higher level player. In fact, you seem to have taken away some of the very features that attracted many of us.

Bad enough that you have increased the frequency, but these events that require us to "live on" farmerama are just plain ridiculous!

Further, you speed us up for what? So we can get to level 96 and then have basically nothing more to do! Several of us have offered suggestions, but all we get is more of the same.

    Anyway, per this event specifically:

Graphics and basic design look, etc, are nice. I don't mind seeing a repeat of some event crops, though hope you keep up with inventing new things.

The negatives have to do with the game mechanics.
It is nice to have occasional events without drops, though despite complaints about low drop rates, the fact of having drops and being able to gift them in particular, is a very nice farmerama feature. HOWEVER, trading this for a strict BB purchase item, and a high-cost BB at that plain stinks! I hope you NEVER repeat that idea! Having drops so slow, high crop needs so high that we basically have to have supergrow to finish is bad enough, but at least we can pull together and send each other drop items to help a bit. Supergrow can be used multiple ways. This pacifier sale is just an unabashed money grab from you and it stinks! Worse yet, If we over-estimate and buy too many, then poof-- too bad. We all know you need money to keep going, but not like this. Destroy the game and you destroy ALL your income from it!

Random crops is difficult enough to deal with, utterly favors longer term players who have big crop stocks, but to combine it with 4 events AND a varied donation value is just complicated without adding any real challenging fun. Its just random junk and fustration, not a challenge that we can work through.

Whomever decided your scale seems to not have much game experience, because the "hard" versus "medium" bit really seems more to do with factors other than how most of us actually play.
The medium events are inevitably very, very difficult while many of the "hard" events are actually easy.

At level 95, with multiple cloud rows and givers, EP is basically worthless... and will be until you present something else for higher level players, perferably something JUST for higher level players, because else it just winds up being something where the older players have an advantage and newer players feel overwhelmed.. again.

I am fully agreeing with woody.

    But to give constructive feedback:

Why can't we have an event, where the player can choose the difficulty himself?
Players could then choose the easy, middle or hard/very hard option.
So that the player can be a bit in the driving seat. Rewards could then be depending on the difficulty level.
I think, this could keep most of the players happy, lower level and long term players as well. And I am sure, BP would find a way to sell event baskets or whatever, so that they get their share as well.

I think, this event should make BP think about their strategy.

Event mechanics are fine. It is a bit different which is good. The number of different event crops, number of animals and number of choices are well balanced. We can't get away with only growing one of the crops. But we can choose to grow only two of them. If we are willing to grow all four we are rewarded with a lesser total requirement. All good. Do I normally like to plan an event? Yes, very much so! But once in a while having an event which you can't plan out on beforehand? Sure, bring it one, variation is good. Am I upset about the overpriced pacifiers? Not at all. Let those who want to buy, buy. I would never consider buying them anyway (regardless of price).

So where does it all go wrong? For me it is the high requirement of event crops. It would be very high even if we had all five fields, but with only three fields? Way too high. If players are wondering how they will mange to grow that number of crops, it does not help that they don't even know how much they need of each crop. It will just add stress for many. Reduce the event crops to one third or less and I think it could have been a fun event. It doesn't help that it comes at the end of a very eventful summer. Reduce the number of events and I think more players would be up for an extra challenging one once in a while.

To add insult to injury, the difficulty rating makes no sense -.-

Several days in and I still haven't got all animals to level one. Switching farms back to regular after today will be away from computer and was going to try but think this is out of reach for me. Love the game overall and will play but think this more than a medium difficulty event and you are asking for way too much crops at each level. I will stop emptying my barn today.

Tried it and I'm stopping after level 1. I am bored witless. I have only just got all four rebels to level 1 and its taken sooooooo long! Carrying on is just not for me, the amounts requested are just way too much. Good prizes and an interesting event just too painstaking to complete. I have skipped the past two or three events in order to just enjoy the summer and only started this event as it was rated 'Medium'.... really? In a nutshell; too many crops to grow for each animal and level making it booorrriinnnngggg.. Shame there isnt another way to make the pacifiers perhaps out of tools? I have a few BBs but am saving them for better things.

Update: On finishing Level 1 I am gutted to note that two of the rebels require tree fruit and vegetables and the other two (wait for it) require yet more large quantities of event crops. How mindlessly boring! I have just given myself a good talking to as the effort of growing on such a beautiful weekend is not worth it for a cloud row which has a cooldown of 120 hours! . Good luck to everyone who is continuing with the event but I am out.. Also how are newer players going to get anything?

Me too, been playing for a couple of days and not even finished level 1 for one measly deco item..... With just over 90 hours to go I have to admit that at level 96 using small plots and CAC I am not going to be able to get the cloud row or the trees and stables I initially wanted when I read the FAQ. I agree with others in that it is it NOT a medium event but it IS totally demoralising!. Who on earth set the crop amounts? What were they thinking?. It is not fun.

A couple of comments I forgot to add before--
I don't mind that you leave out 2 fields. Realistically, if you give fewer fields, the quantities you expect us to grow decrease. In this case, though it may not occur to older players, the fields we are allowed are among the easier to get for new players (with the possible exception of the magic glade, though stars are easier now than when I started). They do have to work to open Baha and magic glade, but those should be early priorities (in my opinion) for folks wanting to move up as quickly as possible anyway, so a "shove" in that direction is not harmful. Having rainforest and green glade open lets us do some "regular" farming along with the event. In this case, also more for newbies, having a field that they cannot use for event crops gives them, I feel, a better chance to grow the regular crops needed for this event. Its not quite as hard to figure which fields to use for what because the decision is already largely made for them. And, of course, most older players will either buy or just use stocks they already have on hand.

    Simlarly, when I say "
confusing, its not so much that you have 4 crops, its that the amounts are random and the whole "some products give 2, others 3 ' along with "buy a pacifier to speed up" bits are confusing -- and I don't necessarily mean confusing in a challenging way. That is, its not so much a puzzle that we can feel rewarded for figuring out, its more just a frustration. (already gave my complaint about about pacifiers)

Also, while I don't inherently dislike the re-use of crops, in fact, sort of like seeing some crops return, that you would do so with other mechanics that are not so great rather adds to the "cheap" (as in poor quality) impression of this event. Basically, if you are going to introduce something with new expectations of putting out BBs and to go through conundrums to figure things out, then as a minimum, we expect something special in the whole event. New graphics, included.

I fully understand you are busy, and let me pair that relatively minor comment about graphics with an overwhelmingly positive impression of whomever you have doing your design. Among other things, I am sure that team needs a vacation, plus after having put in so much effort, it is nice to see an occasional repeat of crops and so forth, but when you do that, I think it would be better to do it in a more "standard", "run of the mill" event, not when you introduce a new complicated feature. When something is new, I think it increases the overall impression of the new thing if it really is "all" new.

Actually, if you are going to keep up this pace, having an occasional just plain regular event that is more or less a repeat of past events, but just offering EP givers, cloud rows and few other items, with relatively low requirements, would be nice. That would help newbies and though older players might complain a bit, the truth is it does not hurt us to skip an event or two (frankly, we feel overwhelmed right now anyway). most of us go ahead and complete the easier, mundane events, we just don't get the thrill that newbies do from finishing them. (which is one reason why I suggested doing paired events a long time ago -- repeats of old events for newer players along with a difficult event that only the more experienced players can complete).

Also, I ABSOLUTELY want to agree with some prior comments about intensity. As a casual game, if we have to check in more than once or twice to finish anything here, many of us will feel "abused". That has been happening all too often and really takes away from the fun. A challenge is OK, at least on occasion, but I think most of us would prefer it to be a bit of an intellectual challenge rather than just a "take away from our families and real life" type challenge. That's not really a challenge, it really just feels like abuse.

Edit: I have not even completed one full level yet... and i am a level 95 player.

I hate random amounts of crops I always gets asked for ridiculously stupid numbers. I'm not overly enthused with the prizes either. It's summer' the weather is nice for once I don't want to stay tied to my farm to complete events. I think you may have solved my FOCD by the continuous events, so thankyou for that.

*sigh* Once again. Prizes are ho hum for an event with 4 event crops and we can't even use all our main lands to plant. I'm not ripping up my glade for the likes of repeated stables, PF, SG, etc. Give me something exciting for that.

No idea how to strategize this event because no idea of any amounts needed to complete. After experimenting a bit, crop requirements are insane for the prizes being offered.

Getting to the point I don't even bother with events anymore. The prizes are not worth the headache nor the time.

Agree with the comments of the players above. Too complicated, too many unknowns, too many crops/requirements, not enough fields, too many BB for pacifiers, lame cloud row/prizes, etc.

Agree with 007Farming, it's too expensive. I'm a level 90 player and only buy harvester/farm assistant and the occasional tree or workshop. It seems lately that you cannot finish an event without purchasing something...

Far toooo many crops for 3 fields...ALL the fields would have been better to use in this event in which we had 4 crops ...which would have made it less stressful
Cannot see myself finishing this event ...but isn't from the lack of trying
Three fields.... crops of 4-5-6-7 hours >:(and the amount of levels to these animals IS FAR FAR TO MUCH work for the rewards you are giving us...which seem to be the same every event

No we don't have to play them ...But without having any information to start with ... does't help in selecting whether we want to play or not... the polish forum HAD info ...WHY didn't we? ....WE had to play to find out

Concept was good but badly executed and lack of information to start with ...except for the dummies being 10BB each to buy

AND another event on the 12th - 18th August: Summer Sportacular Event:wuerg:

As usual the graphics are wonderful.

The down side is the over complicated event itself. I should not have to rely on our lovely fellow farmers strategy to be able to play and even now I am still not sure about it. Too many crops to grow on limited land and I don't like that the animals get locked out.

My suggestion; When the ability to run both CAC and Pumpkin Jam at the same time was taken away, we were promised that we would occasionally have an extra slot to be able to have both at the same time. I would suggest this would have been an excellent event to do this.

I started the event, but quit before completing the first level for all 4 animals. The amount of event plants needed for each step is just too high! If we could grow the plants on all fields, that would be better, but with 2 fields to get 450 plants for each step, it's just too much. And I certainly can't afford the BBs for the pacifiers! Making the requirements known beforehand for any regular crops would be helpful; this "pre-determined" amount just isn't helpful at all.

I think the worse part of this event was Level One. A lot of people including myself did not really understand the instructions which resulted in using a lot more event crops than was necessary. It was depressing spending almost 2 days to pass the first level. My bad! Next time I will read the FAQ a little slower before jumping into the event!!
After level One I enjoyed the event.
