They're just temporary scars that will soon heal.

Mirah and I are doing very good. On the 16th of August, she will be getting her medical examination done. After that she will attend her interview on the 22nd of August. It's at the US embassy located in Manila, Philippines. If she passes both things, medical and interview. Then she will be issued a Visa for entering the USA to get married to me within 90 days of her arrival.


I have been going fishing, but kind of trying to avoid it until I feel comfortable.
I'm not sure which fishing spot I got the poison ivy from.

 

solo - things are moving along for you and Mirah How long does she have to wait to know if she passed both the medical and interview? How are wedding plans coming? Very exciting that these things are falling into place for both of you. Hope you feel better soon.

Sanddollar, thank you for the pics of the pups, unbelievable adorable! I'm a bit behind on my forum foraging lately (and my messages - sorry all I owe one to), just now read about them. They must be getting around pretty well by now, and almost ready to be weaned. I know when we get a pup, be it hound or lab, we try to get them as close to exactly 7 weeks as possible, for training purposes.

 

I was wondering if any one can give me advice on when pole beans are to be picked? I never grew them, only the other kind of beans. My daughter has some in her garden and last week I noticed there were beans on top of some stems. They are about 3-4 " long and really skinny. I almost missed them bc I was looking on the plant where the other beans grow I go down there every Thursday a.m. and stay till Friday afternoon to watch the kids (saves on daycare) but I was thinking of going down Wed. to pick the beans. Not enough hrs in the day for her since she works alot and that's what mothers are for
Solo, I am glad you got medicine to help you. I am not allergic to poison ivy but all of my kids are. There dads father was extremely allergic to it and they must have got it from him. They all learned at a young age what it looks like and to stay away from it.

All kidding aside, I hope the garden is ready for more veggies to be picked and enjoyed!

 

Mirah has passed the medical.
The medical examination is very strict and not many people pass it. Because those people who are taking it, are ones who will travel to USA.

She said that the two people in front of her didn't pass

Anyway, we now are another hug step closer for being together without the distance.


We plan to have a civil wedding. After that we will go someplace to celebrate the special day with my family and friends.
Because the wedding is in front of a judge, so you wouldn't celebrate there.
Also, Mirah's parents aren't going to be attending. That's why I plan to film it so they can watch it later.

For our wedding rings, we both will choose a gold ring. It'll go nice with her silver engagement ring I say

I would buy it now, but I want to have her ring size checked first so it fits good.

 

WooHoo for you and Mirah, solo!! You're really getting close! And filming the wedding for those who can't attend is a great solution!! Her parents will have that film to treasure always - such a milestone in their daughter's life!
