They have, they have... but as soon as they give us more, the requirements go up, and, of course new people come in who don't knwo that new lands were added. (rainforest was added just a few months ago).

This idea has been suggested so many times before. I agree with Woody and I don't want more land, not anymore.

Ummm, I don't know, I still want more land, with the coarse the game will want more two sides of the coin thing....no good turn goes ....
I still see it as more land means longer time players can slip in with a field or two of goodies and maybe the newest players can get some basics built up.
We always have the option of just saying no. No to buying new trees, no to doing the events themselves.
Right now my farm can take the hits that have been coming, but it was easy to just say nope not buying the new trees or getting the mega EP, I don't mind buying, but for me it works to just say no.
Now, with more land "no" to crazy demands would leave me with a cornucopia of space to enjoy my no, and finally get my trees out of inventory and do a field while my no to high demands for little reward takes my happy back and I can just sit back and watch my :inlove:red bats :inlove: fly.
So yes, I still want more land.

I want more space too as I want to keep out certain trees, stables, and now the storage facilities at all times. This does cut into the remaining available plots needed for farming either for events, quests or to build the barn. However, more land is not practical for farmers that are manual farmers. As a purchaser of the monthly harvester subscription (I can't farm without it), more space would be heavenly, but for those farmers that must harvest manually, it would be too hard to get around the farm while pets are active and really if BP wanted to make things 'easier' on us, it would be 'easier' from a development standpoint to reduce the amount of crops needed in events, reduce the frequency of new things being added, and/or perhaps consider an extra diamond space so that CAC could run with PJ (this has been done before and farmers loved it) or a cloud row that did the same thing and BP could control is cooldown period.

    8) Those are some good suggestions, PnP! I really hope BP will consider them!! Especially the crop Reduction for Events!!:music:

I'd like to add that perhaps BP could make available some Event harvesting coupons for the price of BB's earned from the movie, i.e: 1 BB ea. for a special 12/24 hr. Event coupon. This would be a real help to those who farm without the harvester!
I'm sure this idea can be improved upon. It was just a thought.

The reason it was removed was it favoured the long time players way too much. A fresh /new farmer can't afford to buy CAC or Pj that much - if at all. So it became a huge advantage if you could, and it was no longer a challenge to complete an event. And if there is no challenge a lot of players will become bored with an event. This has been tried, tested and removed. And I for one would like it to stay that way. The Cac is already a huge benefit to the long time player. An event can in theory be completed without the buffs.

I am not sure about the more land request myself. I am an event /quest player, and I like things to be a bit challenging. Not sure how many of you regular posters agree with me there. More land wouldn't mean the events would become easier to do, nor should it. That would defeat the purpose of some of the even types. I think more land could lead to even bigger gaps for long time and fresh player. If that gap becomes too big, you won't have many players becoming more long term players. Personally I enjoy the mix of oldtimers, longtimers and fresh from the city - players.
(another more boring aspect is the fact that most players play between 3-6 months, and it is in that time frame people spend the most money online - and BP employee end devs want their paycheck at the end of the month too)

Since i am Veteran Farmer, Several years Ago we had events asking for 35,000 to 37000 Event Crops. So Bear in Mind we had events in the Past asking for much higher Amount of Event Crops.

But Event crops Growing Times was much shorter time than they are now. Averaging Every 3 Hours as there was lots of Feedback to have Longer Time, Less Event Crops instead.

We have been given more land Twice since i been playing this Game. But Bear in Mind of Software and Technical Reasons why we are limited to what we have.

Not Everybody has the Harvester at their Disposal to have Easy Farming. Any More Land means more Clicking anyway.

Note to All Newbies. All Veteran Farmers was once where you are at in this Game. We all have to work hard to build a Better Farm, to help our Farms to have Better Barn Stocks or to be able to do Events Well or with Ease. The Basic Principal to do well is to be able to Make CC and use the Markets to Buy and Sell too. Not Just Plain Farming to need much Land as you can.

If we do have more Land perhaps so Events would become harder to do so it is no Win on This Principal. Basically CAC is Essential when it comes to do Events Except Breeding Event !!

Going Back to Buffs System when it was first started we could use PJ to Extend this Duration of CAC. Back Then CAC was selling for 250,000 to 300,000 in the Markets. But Buff system has been revamped couple years ago. So we are not have to use PJ to Extend CAC Buffs anymore.

We did have an Event, that we have two Diamond Slots Running just very short time, do remmy which event that was cannot recall it as all this Info was in OLD FORUM unfortunately :sleepy:

    8) Whatever the pros and cons are of having more land - there is no getting around the fact that it is needed.

Perhaps this might be considered an easy solution, and one that would be good and usable for everyone...including newbies, and 'no more clicking' for this field!

A Dedicated field for Trees Only. So many, many things require tree fruit, even products come from trees - and even New players have trees. Since it would be a Dedicated field, it could come with a Dedicated 'This-Field-Only-Auto-Harvest' for a very small monthly cost, perhaps 2-5bb's/month - lots less than the Harvester, but still not quite 'free' land.

    1. This would accommodate both New players and those who have difficulty harvesting and do not have the harvester.

    2. It would free up spaces on the regular fields.

    3. Trees would no longer have to be cleared for Events - which sometimes causes a loss of their fruits/products - or have to be moved around from field to field.

    4. It would be Optional. Pay the small monthly fee and use it - or don't, and do not use it. Should you decide not to use it after it has been planted and the fee is due again, the trees would simply no longer harvest(unless/until the fee was paid) but they could be returned back to the Main Inventory, till wanted again.

And the icing-on-the-cake for BP...although the cost would be a very small (2-5 BB's/Month) it is still a new - and unexpected - additional source of Monthly income for them...and multiplied by the millions who play this game worldwide.......should make BP happy, too.

That was an interesting suggestion, with all the trees in the game, an orchard wouldn't interfere with the game or events.

But we already have the Magical Glade which gives more EP for trees, so maybe this privilege should be added to the new land too:music:

The problem is that it likely would not wind up being truly optional. If something is really needed to practically complete goals, then it is not optional.

That is why I have suggested (elsewhere) that there be a new land for higher level players with its own crops, etc. It won't solve the space problem for what we have, but would allow farmerama to offer new things in that space. That would give older players something to look for, but not inundate the newer players with "more, more, more" requirements.

Seems to me that we'll always need more land, but it doesn't look likely that BP will give us any. We've seen their answer - menageries.

I like the optional tree field idea because it IS optional, and there is something in it for BP. Makes it more likely we'll get it or something like it.
Giving us more land that excludes others when it is needed so much by everyone just doesn't seem fair to me. I do understand what you said about older players needing more, but with an optional field they can have it, and everybody else can too.
    Just my opinion.

I would love more landxDReal land...not tiny expensive fancy boxes to place my trees and animals into!! It would be great if we didn't have to tear up our farms for every new event>:( Of course, with more land, BP will just throw higher requirements at us, as woody mentioned above, and thus make us farmers tear up our farms any way-.--.--.- Oh what was I thinking.....NO MORE LANDxD;)

Adding my thoughts.... As a Veteran coming on 6 years, I personally think the land for crops is fine as it becomes more manageable as you level up over a L O N G T I M E.. Seriously, its ridiculous that it takes soooooo long to just to reach a certain point in this game of achievements, its even more ridiculous once you get there, ready to dominate the fields of profit, things get changed and you're kicked back down the road of..... (add you favorite expletive here).... SO what that this game has become too easy for long term players. WE earned that right as a dedicated player, which by the way, has probably paid more money into this game than your short term players.. When are game developers gonna realize this is just a GAME and not real life, and why people like us play games like this, play because its a brief moment in our lives where we can enjoy ourselves, not having to worry about a governing system that thinks our happiness can only come after we've been used and abused then disregarded time and time again.. IT IS A GAME. However I will gladly admit, I truly enjoy this game and its the main reason why I've stuck around for so long. At times I find myself in denial that I've played for so long.

I think what land should be added is more Park land and Shipwreck bay land. Reason why is I'm sitting on 120+ individual EP giver deco items that I can no longer use because of the lower ep compared to the newer ep giver deco's, so at 200 ep to 600 ep per deco... well you can do the math... Those decos are items which I've earned over my tenure of farmerama, then to tell me that I can no longer apply them to my game play simply because developers think for whatever reasons its not fair for others or for whatever other reasons.... BLAH!

Seeing a digressed topic inserted in prior conversations. Adding another diamond slot... Again, only long term players would have that right to make full use of that extra slot from the Artisans village.. Whats wrong with that... Not a thing.. It took me at least 3 years to get to that point where I can create almost all items from the Artisans village. Is that so bad for developers to recognize they've made a game that people stick around for so long to see the glory of their dedication come full circle for their dedication to this GAME.. Its difficult enough gathering the mats for select items within the Artisans village, IE Paint Palette and Ostrich eggs.. I also think another gold slot should be added. The Baha fields has grown to 2 fields now, so an extra diamond and gold slot would not be an unfair advantage to newer players.. though it would seem as such from level 1, admittingly. I put a lot of effort and time into making Artisan items ya know.

I'm still miffed over the manure adjustments btw.. had 20 individual stacks of 100 in the market and lost them all due to time expired and full storage. Not the first time this has happened.

"STOP the introduction of new items."

Whats so wrong with letting your long term players enjoy their well earned efforts..

There are so many things that can be done to make this game overall enjoyable for all, opposed to deciding which group of players to disregard.

Ok, gonna go back to growing my crops....... and happy farming everybod'eh

I don't disagree that long time players should ripe benefit of their hard work over a long time. However it still needs to be balanced with new and medium time players options. Otherwise the recruitment will suffer. A mixture of oldtimers and newbies are for me much more fun than just either.

Diamond slots are used in a great extent for events, and unless we see different requirements for different levels, I believe the advantage for a person with 2 diamond slot would be too great. The difficulty of cater to different kinds of players (long time/newbies, casual/several hours a day etc) need, could ruin the balance. Long timers normally have the benefit of some good cloud rows, most artisan trades/ buff - plenty of stars, menagerie, all lands, plenty of runes open, pets etc ect.

A solution would of course be that the new land was not to be used for event, so that farmers can "farm normally" and "catch up", and in that way trying to even the playfields for players. But what happens then ? Complains about not being able to do events in all fields. Just look up the feedback on the last event where the rainforest was taken out of the event. And if all events were to less demanding - a lot of players woukd be bored as well. Too hard we all complain, too easy and there's no fun.

I sound like I am all about the events, and in a way personally I am. However if you only focus on quests the need for land just wouldn't be that big. Quest are managed without too much difficutly with the amount of land we have. We have time on our side there. And for the harvest hoedown people as long as all players participating have access to the same amount of land (no land requires BB to use) I think they too manange well with the land we already have.

I'm not against new land, but I am worried what it might do to the balance of the game. I would much rather have events on less fields tbh.

    8) Why is it automatically assumed that BP will throw more crop requirements at us if they give us a Dedicated field for an Orchard??? No Crops could be grown on it - just trees. No one has to have this land, as it would be optional, and the 2-5bb's/Month would pay for that field's automatic harvester - just like we already do.
It is suggested as a way to give us relief from a major space problem caused in part by all the new things they keep giving us, and it would be ill-advised of BP to turn around and ruin it by increasing the problem again.

As for extra diamond/gold slots, mentioned above - it makes sense to have an extra one each for the Main fields and for the Baha fields. This has long been requested since the two types of fields have different types of produce and aren't affected the same by most of each others' separate buffs. i.e., separate slots would logically appear to be necessary. It would give us a way to use buffs we already make. Just like most things in this game, it's an incentive to build our farms, not a new/old player class distinction...as we ALL have to work and build our farms up to the point where we can make buffs. And the need has always been there since the creation of Baharama as a separate ecosystem.

Because else it would unbalance the game.

The issues are the same whether it is for an orchard, animals or crops.

EDIT -- this post wound up becoming a more general discussion, so I am moving it to a new thread rather than further hijacking this one.

    8) I'm sorry, Woody, but I just do not see how having an orchard to alleviate an ongoing serious space problem - on which NO crops or animals could be grown - would make BP be so unthinking as to increase crop growing!! o_O-.-
They would have to risk losing many long term, and shorter term, players who have gotten so fed up with this space/crop growing dilemma already, that they are on the verge of finding another farming game instead of this one!! I really love this game, but I am "c-r-o-p-p-e-d OUT"!!!
