Just wondering for how long does the knot in the tong last after reading your sentence fast. Might give the kids a go at it.

You might want to find a FHQ with a harvester/seeder as rewards. That's what I did and wanted to grow some short (not that short) time seedlings. Than came the my check in the forum. And I have just feed some stables that I would have put in storage, if I had known earlier. And I forgot CAC for about 2 hours. The down side of the harvester. All disappears to fast to notice.
Now, you can imagine how my chores get done today, with all the lettuce and carrots.

30 stars I'm all in. Not sure I have a proper chance, got work where I can't check farm (no flash player), but I'll try!. The last events I've done without ripping out the trees, but after the rare tree event, I lost totally track of what tree I have and where. So a reset needs to be done on the trees anyway. The animals go on vacation too. The faster I get the crops done, the faster I can go back to the quests. I think it was Mr Broke that said those who do events and quests will never have anything in their barn. He is spot on there.

(first event with rainforest in play for me, this will really help a lot)

I just made a nother calculation:
I have four farmlands to grow on. Total 650 fields 1x1
using ony pumpkin jam gives 2 excess crops per field = 1300 crps to donate per cycle.
For event plants you need: 12 cycles for Opal basil (12*3hours=36 hours) and 8 cycles for chives (8*6 hours=48 hours). So a total growing time for event crops of 84 hours, not calculated sleeping times (where comfort fields could be set out).
With 144 hours total time for the event, it could be done in time, but the big question is the drop rate.
100 drops is a lot I think.

No other buffs included in the calculation.
With CAC basil would need 8 cycles and chives 6 cycles.
Hope there is no error in the calculation. If so, it wasn't me but excel

Pumpkin jam gives only +1 per field. CAC gives +2. I'm not sure you can blame excel for that.

 

normal 1x1 field gives 2 crops, pumpkin jam+1 = 3 crops - 1 seed for sowing=2 excess...Am I right?

yes, you're right Netto crop for 1x1 with pj = 2, 3 with cac.

hmm I can do the long time crop, but the short time crop as well - that will be tricky for me. It takes a day to have enough seed to plant all fields as well. Hmmm, this is going to be tricky indeed.

For the start to get as many crops out of the 10 seeds each, I would use supergrow on 2x2 fields

Suzie gives +2 on every plant and tree. Put it 2x2 and you have more seeds.

 

Good idea. At least for the start it would work for me (don't have that many)

I must admit, I am quite excited about the event. Can't wait to start

 

Finished growing the lettuce an carrots and got refined carnations growing over night for drops.
SO now have got my fingers crossed.... an hopefully I don't harvest it all before the event starts and don't forget to start the CAC

 

Suzie's Super Grow does add 2 to each crop field but I use it only on 2x2s as it gets expensive to use on 1x1s. Unfortunately, I wasn't playing the game when the Jumbo trees that give Super Grow, Suzie's Super Grow and Turbo Mulch were available. Use White Innocence to enhance your Super Grow and shorten the grow time even more.
