Life's A Picnic strategy

Who decided to drop batteries from today onwards????
I still need baskets. Not batteries!! And I think, I am not the only one.
The event isn't finished yet. Batteries are reducing chances for baskets.
Animal Pen Harvest on BAHA has given me 4 baskets, baha crop harvest has given me 0 baskets (in words ZERO) but two batteries.
Sorry but I hate things like that.

And I am NOT spending RL Money to get remaining baskets.

 

Drop items are independent of each other so getting batteries does not hurt your chances for picnic baskets.
You will continue to get baskets until the event ends tomorrow.

Got locked out by friggin' connection issues - again- so couldn't set overnight plants. When the connection so graciously allowed me to log in this morning, had 3 fields of soybeans and 2 bromeliad, so only managed 33 batteries. Hopefully won't happen again tonight (not holding breath, as already got disconnected for an hour), can plant spinach or raspberries for better battery drops. Have a whopping 66 tortoises, so need to get them out (have 4 in menagerie all event) and try to get as many as possible in time before they're needed. Toucans I'm reasonable with, over 500, so should be safe. Anaconda, wellll...we'll see.

clonahmon, I actually got more picnic baskets than I did batteries, I think you'll be okay. How many do you still need?

 

12ss12 the normal animals on Baha like Monkey, Panda ,Camel, Parrot ,Elephants ,Sloths and the Anaconda,s all above 1000 each
but the last months collected quit a few pink stables and thats all i use for Monkeys Camels and the Panda
the other animals where I've mentioned not
at Baha was easier since there were not so many animal species

I doubted when the Toucans were so expensive to sell them but did not do it so i have now over 500 and working on
on my market there 5300 CC and my guess is that the price will go up when the workshops are comming

I have three fields of roses an mainland and chillies on baha. We'll see how many baskets it's giving me.

No need to be sorry clonahmon. It takes time to learn your farm and how to fit a strategy in with your real life responsibilities. I think you are doing very well

 

If you have supergrows,
activate white innocence (WI) & fruit cake buffs for supergrows & rose refinements & if you have singing flowers cloud row (use them too, but its not a must) & comfort fields & supergrows & water & manure. you can get all drops you need within few hours.

Without the cloud row, the comfort fields with supergrows, water & manure and REFINED ROSES along with WI & fruit cake will take 32 mins to grow. In ordinary fields it will be 8 mins.

If you do not have rose refinements, even then you can try the above strategy but it will take few hours in comfort fields. But it will be useful and you can get the drops/baskets. For a trial, you can try it out for one field.

Try doing rose & carnation refinements and get all the refinements. They will be very useful to you in future events.


That's a good idea, dutchboy. Especially toucans. My markets they were selling for 8000 or so. So I sold them. Now trying to build their stock.

I now have 97 Nublon batteries + 5 already in barn.

 

Cloud row is now activated Ι completed all the tasks I wanted but I have decided to complete all the first task too, not because of the sticker though I think it's a good opportunity to get a few more stars. Ι have 96 baskets so I only need 4 more.
I have only 20 batteries! Good amound considering I have been growing carrots and lettuce all day

 

I don't have the flower row.
Just opened the magic stalk a week ago and also got my first rose refinements last week. So all in all a lot of trial and error here. Lots to learn.
I know, this is a long term game and not one, that can be "finished" within a week. First time, that I am playing such a long term game (not a gamer at all normally) So please bear with me
Think I am taking the game a bit too seriously.

When you place your mouse curzor on some animal pens in Baha shop, they show category. What do you think ? Are the animals categorized for any upcoming event ?

1. Bird breeding - crow & goose - get toucan workshop Tiki totems/tiki masks

Does this mean if we breed a crow and a goose we will get a toucan workshop
It doesn't make sense to me

 

I think, it won't be THAT easy....., who knows which level of crow/goose breeding BP wants us to do to get them.

Goose again ...I still have low amounts of geese in the barn after the sporting event. And I don't have a crow nest yet (but that's ok!)
*pulls out all the goose stables again*

clonahmon, MM coming but will be short. Aim for a crow pen or two.

 

I won't be able to do anything in events in the next two weeks as we a) are going on a short holiday and b) getting my sister over for a visit...

So I presume, I have to skip the next events. Yippeah I can stock up my barn with treefruit and animals of all kinds
I always put out all trees and all stables, so that no weed is growing
