STOP the introduction of new items (just for a little while)

Yes you are right there are a lot of new players but why would they spend BB when they can get them by trading?

 

Well, barter and give event is far rarer than a mystery event, also you need to have something worth to trade to get them, or have friends (in the forum). However you do have a point, so perhaps a re-run could be cheaper and have a higher chance to get a rare (or only rare) and no new stuff. I think I would be equally or more interested in spending BB on a re-run than on a barter. (As the free tickets aren't that many)

 

Not any longer.... they keep running G & T almost every month, now.

Also, new people really don't need friends already, you just have to post in the gift and trade threads. People usually help newbies. Once you have been here a while, then folks do basically expect trades (after all, you are doing as well as them at that point...).

 

Hmm, if barter and give is so frequent, then I don't know. New stables and trees are a huge money spinner, and players are thrilled (just take a look at the crab feedback).

 

There is always a lag between when pens are introduced and they are available for G & T. The lag varies, but its usually at least 1 G & T event. The rush is for people to get these items right away. Also, when they first come into G & T, the prices are quite high -- often people want a pink stable in return for the newest pen, just as an example (last time I remember some demanded multiple pinks for some pens). If you are not able to pay BB, the wait can be several months. That is why some people do spend BB. Also, well, for some people it does not matter. In the US, the cost of a package is usually about the cost of a couple of movie theatre tickets or a few cups of coffee (erm... maybe just one at Starbucks .. lol). Those are intangible, "gone shortly" expenses. Some people get as much or more pleasure from buying a new pen for farmerama. Its like anything else ... as long as you are paying your bills, what you do with your extra money is open to choice.

EDIT... all that said, repeated introductions make people stop and think. Its no longer "a few extra here and there", but "again.....more???". Increasing the G & T makes things nicer for the newer players, but also winds up diluting the benefit of the new stables somewhat for those who do spend money.

All in all, its as most of are saying. A year or two ago, maybe things were being introduced too slowly. It seemed like I had to wait over a year for the first G & T (that might be off, but it was definitely at least 6 months). It was anticipated, exciting. Now... a combination of the repeats and no new people in my market (at least it seems that way) and I have barely bothered with the last 3 G & T. The market prices are high, which seems to indicate some demand. However, it might also just be that, at least in my market, many of us are at the point where CC just don't really matter and so we are willing to spend "exorbitant" amounts to get a few goodies. In my baby farm, prices vary significantly from my main farm.

 

I have to agree with all. Too much too fast! There are too many new quests and no way to finish most of them as they require too much product which I for one can not keep up. I too had more farms and am now down to just one. I would like to build some stock so I could finish a quest and get better rewards. As for the wonder trees & stables, I seem to get what I already have! I seem to building my inventory of stuff I do not need.

give us farmers room to breath for just a while. put a few more days in between new quests please!
