Daily Gift Giving

I know that something about gift giving has been suggested in the past but I can't find it (maybe in archives).

Anyway it is hard keeping track of who you sent gifts to especially since they level up and are not always in the same place.

Could there be a feature added where you could select the player and check them to gift on Mondays, etc.? This could also allow for gifting more than one day a week and also what item you want to gift them. If I gift someone tools every time I could check that and then change it during an event.

If you have any empty slots it will show up the same asking who/what you want to gift.

 

Sounds like you would like to see a list of the gifts you have given for the week? A good idea, though the game resets every day.

A related suggestion is to have a timer visible when you click on each person, so you can see when you last gave them a gift. (cannot remember who posted that idea.. it was some time ago). Another was to have the ability to give gifts in succession., automatically. Those are the suggestions I remember, none that exactly match what you are requesting here.

 

I have 23 slots for players - hat means I can give to 22 players (can't give to my farm).
I would like to be able to designate:
Sunday - gifts to first 7 players
Monday - gifts to second 7 players
Tuesday - gifts to third 7 players
Wednesday - gifts to the last 1 of the 22 players and first 6 players
Thursday -gifts to second 7 players
Friday - gifts to third 7 players
Saturday - gifts to last 2 of 22 player slots plus whoever I decide to give to with remaining slots

The above is just an example. I have been playing for quite a while and have had problems with sending gifts and not receiving any from any of the other players. I quit giving to all and only gave to a select group who gifted me - they were gifted every day that I logged on regardless of whether they gifted me everyday. Sometimes I get new neighbors and they gift me and then this creates a problem - do I quit gifting daily the player who always gifted me and send one to the new neighbor or do continue gifting the one who always gifted me? If a neighbor leaves that number gift would show as blank and I could insert someone else to receive it.

I sometimes check the Blue Ribbon to see who has gifted me but I don't check it all the time.

I have noticed that on the "Request for Neighbors" thread a lot of players are stating that they want those who gift them on a regular basis.

I don't know if this would make it easier or not but I am just trying to get a way of having the gift giving easier to manage.

 

I rotate to whom I gift, but am not perfect. I try to just do everyone in order and remember where I left off, but basically, I figure if someone is going to get truly upset that I miss a day or so, then its not someone who wants to be my neighbor. I try, I am just not perfect. I only skip those who's meter is red, unless they have messaged me they are done with an event.

 

I used to have a handwritten list of my neighbours. When I gifted someone I would put a forward slash by their name and if they gifted me I crossed it through. That way, even though i did not know exactly when they gifted me, I could see who needed a gift or who did not gift. This was in the days when pop-ups blighted the game as, when you logged, in a pop up would come for every gift and you could not turn it off!

 

I keep a list of neighbors and friends who have gifted so that I can gift in return. There are many days though that I don't have enough daily gifts to do so. I do gift in rotation but I am blessed with neighbors and friends who gift often so I would love to have more than 7 gifts available. Without my list I know I would overlook someone as I just can't remember from day to day who was next. This is compounded with more than one farm.

 

I like the idea of a better way of keeping track of gifting. Be it a checkmark, a timer, a checklist or a planning.

I've tried remembering, I've tried sequence, I've tried the list... none is working.
My gift rotation is now based on the chaos theory...

 

Even with my list and trying to rotate I sometimes get into trouble! Usually happens when someone needs something and I want to help, which gets my list out of order. Would love a check mark or something to help out.

 

I agree = I would like to be able to gift every neighbor daily.

 

A check mark would work if you could reset after everyone was given a gift.

 

Gifting as long as my neighbor's are sending i'm good, this not a one way street. send the drop's otherwise anything. if you tell me i missed you, all my neighbor's know what my answer will be. i don't get many complaint's

 

I have a reminder set on my calender, the time is constant (unless there is an event due to start) and as I rotate my gifts I simply change the name of whoever is due to have a gift the following day. I've found this to be the best way for myself as I usually send gifts (before the caffeine kicks in) first thing in the morning

 

Although all the tips are very inventive and useful, I never seem to be able to keep at any of them for any length of time. I base my rotation by my (poor) memory, so I would love some kind of system that carries over from the last time I logged in/gifted and until it's time to gift again. I don't keep track of who gifts me, but I would love to make sure I don't miss any of my neighbours

I open the gift box everyday and gift the first 7 people that gifted me each day.
If its during a event and more than 7 have gifted me that day, I spend the BBs to gift extra~
Its usually just 1 or 2 extra

 

I basically do the same, Lea...but many times run short on BB's and cannot gift everyone, so I gift my regulars first and then as many more as I can.
It seems wrong to only be able to gift 7 neighbors when we have so many!

BP: We really need more than 7 gifts available to give!!!
