@farmlily3, Brilliant !! Great pictures you have gathered up to show people around the world what a
cat 4 hurricane can do, even in a country like ours! Thanks for all your efforts during this storm!:inlove:

I have finally heard from my friend. Marie is safe, her truck is fine, her dogs are fine, even her trailer was somehow spared and her art supplies (she is an artist) are basically okay.

So an American life is more precious than a Haitian life :mad:that is awful that you weren't as worried when others are affected by any disaster on this magnificent planet

8)ALL life is precious, Kaydd2. It is only natural, however, to be more concerned with those we know personally and love. I am surprised you do not know that. Really, your outburst is totally unfounded, and your words thoughtlessly unkind. Just like the rest of us, I think you would protect and rescue your Family first in a crisis.

I'm glad gaura and nice job with all the pics farmlily. And kaydd2 yes All life matters and is important everyone was saying prayers ect... for everyone in the path AND affected by this terrible storm it wasn't just focused on 1 person I cant believe you would even think that we wouldn't be or aren't concerned about Haitians or anybody else if you would go back and read what was said everyone included everyone who was in the path or affected by Matthew they were mostly talking to me because I created the post that doesn't mean we aren't concerned for EVERYONE even HAITIANS ;)

I once again hope everyone is safe.

This video is the one I mentioned in my previous post. I think the place is in Florida.

Hurricane Matthew has completely devastated Haiti. I saw the videos in our news channels, BBC & other sites. But I didn't want to load them here as there are real people in it.

This picture is of the hurricane as on or before Friday, October 07, 2016 12:50 PM.
There are 2 centres / red area ? A smaller one next to the bigger one ?

I could care less about Haitians
    or anyone really. Only myself~

    Really?
How absurd! I don't know anyone who really feels that way! :sleepy::(-.-:sleepy:

If any doubt remains about the concern for Haiti, just Google it. Volunteers from the US were already on the ground and in place before the storm hit. Several planes loaded with food, water and supplies donated from the hearts and personal pockets of the American people have already been sent. A Navy ship loaded with medical supplies and staff is on its way. My grandson who is a doctor paid his own way and donated his time after the last devastation to help the people of Haiti with their medical needs. YES, we care!!

    Come on JJenks, check in.
So happy that all our farmers and their loved ones are safe thus far.

I'm glad so many are reporting that they've made it through the storm.:) I think one-two is right, JJenks may be without power. So many people still are. Or she may just be too busy to check in. Prepping for a hurricane, and then dealing with the clean-up afterward is a lot of work.:sleepy:
I've heard that my house survived the storm, but our area in general is still a big mess, so I can't return home yet. There's a lot of flooding, wind damage, and mass power outages that are still being dealt with. It's really, really hard to see so many familiar places on television and the internet that are completely or nearly destroyed. I expect that I won't recognize home when I finally get
there. But, on a positive note, I still have my house, my family, and my life, so I'll continue to count my blessings because I was truly very fortunate.

Best wishes to everyone (in the US, Cuba, the Bahamas, Haiti...everyone):inlove: as they work to recover from the mess that Matthew left us with.

Glad to hear from you poppyseed, and relieved your house made it through the storm. You are so right about your blessings! A ministry team with supplies, etc. left our area for Haiti on Friday, as soon as they could get clearance. Reports there are very bad, but many people are working to help, like blessedlady2 said.

Hope JJenks can check in soon to let us know her situation.

JJ where are you sweet friend? Miss you!

Positive thoughts sent to all affected.

    Kaydd, why? :(

    So unnecessary.

8)Excellent question, hatzeva.....I, too, have wondered 'why'?

Thank you, blessedlady2, for your wonderful response! Many, many have gone to help the Haitians and others who were so affected by this storm. Please express our gratitude to your grandson!:inlove:

So glad to read everyone checking in!! Positive thoughts for JJenks....Thank you 12/12 and -poppyseed- for reminding us about the power outages! Great news that your home survived and that you are safe!!:inlove: So many Blessings to count!!:inlove:

poppyseed so happy to hear from each of you as you check in one by one! Thankful that your family and home are safe. It is shocking and heartbreaking to see the destruction left behind in the wake of these storms. And then again it does ones heart good to see the love shared by so many from surrounding areas and other states as they come in to cut trees and cook hot meals for those unable to do for themselves. I was blessed to have a team from North Carolina come in to help me after Hurricane Gustav. So many, so willing to travel so far.

Thank you for the kind comments about my grandson. He was part of a Medical Team, I think Doctors Without Borders. The experience for him was very humbling. To see all the destruction and the conditions the people were living in made him feel it was a privilege to be able to help and serve them even in a small way.
