Jools, I wasn't complaining, and I certainly wasn't trying to say the mods did anything wrong. I continue to amaze myself with my ability to miss things that are right in front of my face. More a statement on my own doofiness than anything else. Sorry if I upset you, or anyone else.

 

Hi spots. IMHO, all this apologizing and personal attacks is no good for this forum. To assist you with what is right in front of your face a thread has been reinstated in the General Issues section where I am seeking to try and bring all this to a halt and hopefully we can reach some happy median in order to make this forum function as it should and all behave accordingly. Some of us desperately need to develop a strategy for the junks growin event.

IMHO, response indicates no desire, more unrelated excuses and no hope.

This farm's event strategy tentatively is to let drops drive junks growing as they can be grown. If one uses poo I would expect the price to reach the heights of previous events and chicken prices are much higher than normal on this market presently.

 

From Mini Event we have Mega EP Currently Running that gives us 100% More EP for 24 Hours. Only 7 Hours remaining. I will Activate it just before it ends

Then on Monday will we be having Double EP on All Crops for 25 Hours Too. To Make the Most of This using Buffs.

• Gold Slot One = ZAB (60% More EP on Crops)
• Gold Slot Two = EM (30% More EP on Crops)

I have Chayote ready to Harvest Before Activate Mega EP, Then after that it will be Red Pepper.

• Eat an Tiki Timer Reduce Red Pepper by 20% since it is an Vegetable
• Activate Party Ticket Cloud Row that Gives +1 Vegetable for 24 Hours
• When Red Pepper is ready to Harvest will I will Activate Raspberry Langos Give 40% EP on Red Pepper (Silver Slot 1)
• Chocolate Syrup Give 20% EP on Red Pepper (Silver Slot 2)
• Carrot Bread Gives 20% EP on All Crops (Silver Slot 3)

Also i have CAC running for 10 Days as it will be Crop Mania All this week using Pinkie Pie Pie Make most out of my CAC !!

Also we can use All our Pets too. So this Helps, too. Previous I put this Method on Hold since i had so many Red Peppers in my Barn thanks to recently Event Sold Most of them for Excellent CC. Now on way to restocking lots of Baha Crops.

Using Party Tickets we can still Win an 100% on The Farmerama Wheel or Even 100% Harvester. I Finally managed to get 200,000 Mushrooms in my Barn All of it was Manually Grow. I am Sure Broke got more than that buying in Excess of that Buying 100 Mushrooms Daily from the Store lol

It not surprise me with ranting and raving, misunderstandings, Lack of Coffee etc. In old forum we have an place called Steam Room to help Farmers let off steam. It a real shame they removed this as we have to put up hearing farmers can let off steam in many posted but it a limit to what they say as we have less mods checking this forum now. They are always doing their best as they can we have to bear this in mind

Anyway lets talk about Spooky Crops as we have an Event Quest to work on using Arcane Sunflowers and some spooky crops. As i will work on The Firefly quest mostly using Moonlight Playing Field to Build up Dark Firefly Lairs and Dark Queen Apple Trees

If that is truly your goal, you should change your strategy. To me it just looks like you are eager to use any minor issue as an excuse to attack and bother the mods. While some of the issues you have raised have been legitimate, the manner in which you do it, makes me think you just want to cause as much trouble as possible. I have often wondered what you could possibly hope to achieve, "happy median" has never sprung to mind. And adding "respectfully" to each sentence doesn't convey respect, on the contrary it looks like mocking.

If your motive truly is as noble as you claim, it doesn't matter that I've got it all wrong. If the mods read something similar into it, a "happy median" is getting more and more impossible with every post you post.

 

I would very much love to leave the arguing dead and move on to what the topic of the thread is all about: the upcoming event and how we plan to tackle or not tackle it.

Thank you Mooby for the EP strategy, I tend to not give it much thought. I shall have a quick walk with the dog in fresh air, a cup of tea and enjoy reading it again and see what bits and bobs I can implement on my own farm. But first I need to kick the brain into working. I could do with a strategy thread on that alone

This farm's routine strategy at the end of each MM is to plant the longest time to complete crop in 1x1's with tress out on the field in order to have them ready at the beginning of the next MM. CAC and any other buffs used are activated prior to harvesting. Crops will be set out later today with a long-timers on a least the three farm field in 1x1s in order to get a somewhat efficient use of and payoff of CAC. No effort will be made to achieve maximum ep during the mini-event.

The routine planting of a long time crop at the end of the previous MM will give the farm the most drops available at the start (drops only from MM field this event).

After the initial harvest the routine seed building will begin.

 

Really? I was under the impression it also dropped from event crops. I must read the faq again and see were I went wrong. Thanks for the notice.

 

I Have never Left crops in the MM fields at the end of an event... in case they went to weeds ... Thank you Farmer Broke for that info

 

As far as I know, Nellie, MM crops in the MM field are the only ones immune to weeds, providing the regular MM ends prior to harvest. If there is an extended event like the upcoming one, I don't know if the MM field will give weeds if not harvested in a timely fashion or not.

An individualized workable strategy seems good due to the drops. Drops will not come from the event crops. Here are a couple of copy and pastes from the event faqs posted:

The strategy for this farm is to plant long MM crops using 1x1s at the latest time possible prior to the end of a MM.

Rarely will this farm ever grow crops other than during each MM and junks during events and that is to maximize benefits of CAC for this farm. With a junk CAC cloud row there is never any need for CAC purchases here.

If anyone really needs CAC just ask for it and someone surely will send it.

 

I seem to only read what I want to read I also saw someone asking the mods, and got the paste answer.
but in a way that is good news, so when event crop is done and harvested, no worry about crop4drop over all in the farm. Just the MM field, and I could do with some longtimers there.

Preparing for MoonLight Mania as The Six Day Event will Start from Tomorrow.

I always leave spooky crops in Moonlight Playing Field just before MM Event Ends. Two Reasons for This 1) Field is already to Harvest when MM Starts, due to limited Growing Time of Spooky Crops. 2) When we have an Spooky Event that needs Spooky Crops. The Last Time was Spring Cleaning event needing Spooky Widgets.

During MM Will be working on The Firefly Quest as Lots of Darklight Fireflies are Needed for This Quest. As Need to Make Quiet a Few Firefly Lairs.

We do not need that Many Dark Green Apples. As we can get Two Dark Green Apple Trees from The Firefly Quest. I will certain be using Suzy Super Grow on these New Trees Give 4 + 2 = 6 Dark Green Apples Per Tree. Also will be using Super Mulch to speed up reaping Dark Green Apples. This will help get more drops too.

I will be only using Cloud Row Animal Buffs, when I have made many Darklight Fireflies. Put them out all out in one Go !!

It is clearly that we never get weeds from spooky crop playing field !! It has always been like that we every MM Spooky Event.

The two longest spooky crops are:-

• Darkshadow Blooms [ 8 Hours ]
• Glowmold [ 8 Hours ]

Either of these two spooky crops are best as Overnight Crops or Get the Best Drops of Spooky Widgets !!

We will be needed at Least 11 Terror Bouquets for Gold Slot during this MM Event

On Day 1, Day 3 and Day 5 of MM Moonlight Mania Cloud Row That reduce spooky crops times by 10% for Three (24 Hour Windows) During this Event

Harvest 2014 Cloud Row can be used twice during MM Event that gives 6 Hour Window to Nuke Spooky Crops using super grow. I can only use White Innocents with this Cloud Row since Terror Bouquet also take up a Gold Slot too...

We cannot grow the event crop on baharama fields ...am i right in thinking this ?

Yes Moraine ...have magical Glade full of them...love the trees ...and they are round the edges of all my fields..so shall leave them round the edges in the glade and put them back when the events finished ..and see how that goes with crop growing...can always put them back if i have to take them all off to reach the target
But am not that sure i want to do all of this event just to get EP&TEP... only want the party tickets and the wonder stables Jade has the deer ...hopefully she will let me have that stable this time ...only animal i need and missing about 5 of the new trees

 

yes, Bahma can do normal farming, nothing spooky going on there. Do you leave the trees ? I can't make my mind up to keep or remove. I I take them away I hedge my bet and make sure I have the crop in the bag, if I leave them I need to make sure I don't have too large idle breaks between ripe and harvest.

 

Hi all. I am in two minds whether to bother with this event. The only prizes that raise an iota of interest are the Wonder Stables and with my luck I will probably end up with four Yellow Chickens!

So do I do it or not ... it may depend on whether we get the half price harvester. Only this farm would participate in any case, one of my other farms is in training for HH and the other is in semi-retirement.

So my (present anticipated) strategy: continue to harvest animals/workshops/trees/Baha comfort fields/any spooky crops that I need for FSQs and sell poo till I drop!
