OK - I got the cats out - but now I have planted 4 extra fields of junk
at 61% only needing 488 wrappers

I personally like the darkness 8) - especially in the town square - puts me in the spirit more then those creatures - I happen to have 1 sweet treat from the last milling and I can't find a witch anywhere - lots of spiders, pumpkin heads and eggplants.

 Only need about 10,250 more junks :cry:

Drops are driving this train :) and not junks!

    • Farm will mill everything all at once. The mill is not available for dumb stuff until 9 hours left in the event. Cat feed from milk has been timed and takes priority.
    • Leaning toward the purchase of about 600 elderberry trees. The tree fruit will pay for the trees in one round and the farm will have more useless trees. The drops will come from the trees. (I might need a loan to finance the start-up. 8)) edit ---- no need for elderberry trees with a refined crop and will not take this action at this time.
    • With 5 fields, all the junks can be grown in a day with only water.
    • Then its off to the witch hunt!
    • With one cat kennel the farm may need to acquire a few more. (I might need a loan to finance the start-up. 8))
:sleepy: The decisions a farmer must make! :sleepy:

Psst Broke... Cat feed does not require milk anymore. BP changed the formula and feed requirements.

So true. Here is the logic and you'll love it:
    • Lots of milk was purchased at less than 500 ccs.
    • One cow milk was the ingredient before the change.
    • Any cat feed being milled before the change went live was not affected by the change.
    • Knowing the above and wishing to participate in the event, the farm set the mill to mill all the cat feed it could using milk up until the last 9 hours of the event. (Remember, still using cat milk because it was set up in the mill before the change went live.)
    • Now after the event or the farm stops the feed milling for any reason and if I wish to mill more cat feed then the farm falls under the new feed requirement guidelines.
The farm was selling one elderberry in lots of 1,200 for just over 534 ccs (now 425 just to dump the stuff)! No way to beat what was done on this farm (and several other baby farms) with milling cat feed. But the same cannot be done again.

And on second thought, this farm has CAC running and will get more drops and revenue in the same amount of time using a refined crop and selling it. No need for elderberry trees right now.

I'm done with the crops. The drops seem to have dried up after a really good start:oops:. I'm sure they will start back up when I start growing other crops, and animals. Poo prices are through the roof!

I'm on track with drops right now, but I'm worried I might cut it close over the weekend since I'll have less playing time. I think tomorrow I'll use super-grow on a batch of carnations just to be sure I can complete this event. I have over 1500 super-grow thanks to my trees, so I might as well use some of it.

I've already bought 50 cat kennels, so once I finish with drops those are going out right away to prepare for breeding. Friendly reminder, if you buy the yellow version of a kennel it doesn't come with the base kennel so you have to buy that as well.

Oh, and a question: would Bell Peppers or Candy Puffs be better for drops on Baha? I've been using Candy Puffs for the extra TEP, but Bell Peppers are a bit longer so maybe they give better drops?

@skibec I've found the longer the crop has to grow, the better the drops are for me. That's why most of us cease growing the event crop and start growing a refined crop.

Hi skibec, Another thing you may like to keep in the back of your thoughts is if you are up to comport fields place your longest growing time crop on them if you are going to be gone for a bit and gonna use SG.
A much wiser farmer shared this and it helps big time. The drops from this are delish, and it hurts less using your SG.

    Good Morning all,

I had set out cat pens and sowed refined roses last night plus a few long timers.
Drop rate increased from aroung 65 drops for 5 fields in the morning to ....108 !!!
Question: Does it matter if I put 2x2 or 1x1 fields out for the drop rate? As I only have a few SG I can't spend lots of it on the longtimers.

    Thanks all and well done!!

If the drop rate is very high - it matters. On my initial harvest with all my Howies I got 90 drops from one field. If I had used 2x2 plots that would have been impossible, since you can only place 44 2x2 plots, and you never get more than one drop from each plot.

But when you get 108 drops from 5 fields, i.e. around 22 drops per field, it doesn't matter much if you use 1x1 or 2x2. And it is certainly not worth using SG on 1x1 plots!

    Good luck! :)

I use only 1x1 with water, nothing else except CAC, but I've always got that going with my 1x1s. I get between 14 and 26 drops per field. 14 being the event crop and 26 being refined Crop Squares. Keep in mind that I rarely "clear" my fields. I have trees and some amount of animals there as well.

I only use SG on either Comfort Field, 2x2 or 2x1 Field Never on 1 x 1 Field

The Best and Most Effective way to get Drops is using SG on Comfort Fields. For Newbie Farmers it is possible to get Instant Drops on using Refinements on Roses used with Refinement Combination, for Those who do not have Harvest 2014 Cloud Row that makes SG 5% More Effective using it with SG Buffs such as White Innocents and Fruit Cake.

I only use Manure only when Manure is cheap. There is Growth Boost Rune that makes your SG and Manure more Effective !! ;)

Have only used water on my event crops in 1x1 plots ...think i have finished the crops ...but still have some in bahamarama just in case
And now have 100 mice kennels out...hopefully they will give me some drops

Have done 100 % of the event so far and have got the three givers ...now waiting for more drops
And up to level 33.... FINISHED;)

Have only seen the witch etc on my main field only
And the witch doesn't seem to come that often at the moment

Event crops should be finished with the next harvest and I'm at 952 on drops.:D Milling time for me! Then it will be a couple fields of long crops for the remaining drops, and pens for poo and some extra CC.;)

:) Clonahmon - you are doing very well, growing by leaps and bounds!

Best of luck to all in completely without stress!:music:

I tried donating to the pumpkin headed animal standing in the middle of my deco garden. For some reason he refused to take any sweets, was wondering if he was allergic to sugar or something when I realized I was trying to force feed my newly acquired decoration.... -.-

Next I'll be talking to the plastic garden gnome -.-
