blessedlady, the fireflies that are produced from those lairs are listed under the Moonlight Crops section While they do eat the same feed, they are different creatures ops, I think I stand corrected I was thinking of the Dark firefly lair not the spooky thing. OMG, could they make it anymore confusing for me??

 

How fortunate you are to have so many gorgeous glowworm fields!! Not only are they pretty and fun to watch, especially en mass, but just think of all the expensive feed you can sell!!
Perhaps you might want to count your blessings, blessedlady!

 

IF you don't reload the field after placing them, the Howies don't work. There might be a cap at 20 Howies per field, according to some German players.

I am so slow this time and am not done yet. Still I need a few drops but they will come during the next hour or so. Only thing I have done efficiently during this event is circling the mkt and only growing one too many event crop. Yay!

I have 883 event crop left I am getting better at the math! Good luck to all who are still doing this event, you too can finish!

 

I've already made a post in the Translation issues that this Spooky pen should be re-labeled as a Spooky Glowworm pen. Let's hope someone takes it to heart soon as many have been confused by this.

I have never been so happy to finish an event. I was sooooooooooo bored hanging around waiting; ended up refreshing the game continuously just to get the characters I needed to show up!

 

Characters seem to have all gone from my farm now....even refreshing didn't bring any back
Have put my cats back out again

 

Perhaps this is not the place to post this. The main reason I posted about the Spooky Firefly lairs was to alert those who were looking to increase their Fireflys. lol, obviously I was not one of them.
Congrats to all who have finished and good luck to those still working at it.

Sweet Cassiopeia, I totally agree. Spooky Glowworm pen would have been much less confusing.

sirpippen, to achieve getting the givers for the CR means obtaining no less than 101 Fireflys which led to my confusion with the glowworms.

All three use glowworm feed. The major difference when you look at them is that the Darklight Firefly has a skull head in it's belly.
The glowworm and Spooky pens can only be placed Mainland/Glade/Meadow. The Darklight only on MM.

I have a bone to pick with the person that named these pens.

Have 220 witch feed milling finally. feeding all these withes at one time is awful. I've tried feeding the windmill, the tractor, the deer, but nothing else wants it. Refreshing seems to help with the witches appearing. All id by hand anyway so I'm just planting lettuce for a quest and harvesting and feeding the witches and before its all over I'll have enough for Gaga for Greens.

Really glad everyone is producing cats. I don't agree with that direction though. Now need to move on to a December prep.

Back to the witch hunt!

 

It's also true for the trophies (for those who don't have the LL rune unlocked). It takes a moment for the system to register that they've been placed. What I usually do during events is place my Howies on a field, then go on to the next field and make space for the Howies there, then come back to the original field, harvest and repeat. It gives the Howies time to register, and it gives me something to do while I wait. It's tedious, for sure, but it works

Only 2 more sweeties left to deliver and I'm all finished. Just waiting on you know who... Where is that little witch hiding anyway? It's all tricks and no treats from her.
