I am keeping Bride updated that her first choice of lead reindeer May not be looking pretty so may have to go with "B" team leader..

On our wedding day booking it is US Thanksgiving... If I get too wrapped up, can I wish all USA followers a happy and peaceful Thanksgiving. :)

Will take photo's tomorrow but my lazy boy Boris hasn't made much progress today. He was in willow plantation this afternoon but looked as if he was just gently rubbing his head on trees... I should have gone with vets guess on 0.1 testosterone... :( but vet had tried on his other herd at 1.25ml last year and the went manic...
Hector (and his remaining girls) I have had to strategically move to Long Meadow as he has run fence line to mud. He was caked fetlocks to mid belly.. Will try to post photos tomorrow.

Sand - to be honest, there's no B team. We have Boris and His Girls BUT he has a lot of gorgeous girls... He may have to send out his gorgeous girls until he looks good.. :)

No good updates today. It has piddled down throughout the night and all day. Boris started but he doesn't seem to want to continue... An extra from a Zombie movie :(

And he's still a handsome chap, even when looking like he belongs on The Walking Dead!

Wow more than 100 pages this thread has! I have missed seeing pictures of your reindeers Karen!
I hope Boris finishes piddling soon. Is it very painful? And do you help him do it?

@Arielh "piddling down" is an English phrase meaning raining; piddling is also a slang term for urinating :p. What Boris is doing is called (and correct me if I'm wrong, Karen) stripping his velvet.

Hee hee - spot on TC, thank you for helping out.
Your comment made me smile Arielh - I must try to remember to explain better and not use colloquial expressions... And oh my goodness over 100 pages (sorry anyone that looks in but I think several people are engaged).

Today's update.. Boris is turning me grey (my hair). He looks worse everyday... I should have risked a larger dose of testosterone as he is only stripping a little velvet everyday and each bit he strips stays bloody for days. His first booking is in 6 days... he won't make that, I don't think as he looks like an extra from Hammer House of Horrors movie (I will have to take 2 girls). But he has an importent wedding on the 24th and the bride really wanted Boris... will he make it, I am not sure...
As you can see he has made a "little" progress since yesterday BUT not much... :(

Oh Boris, you always make things difficult... the first year when he was entire he dropped his antlers completely on the 9th November - got to love him! :(

He thinks "I will be Rudolph, but will have red antlers instead of a red nose"!

Is it possible to give him a 2nd injection to help him finish stripping the velvet? Just the difference between what you originally gave him and the dose suggested by the vet? Other than missing events you have booked him for, is there any danger/problem to allowing him to strip at his own pace? Does it harm his health to take longer? Once he finishes stripping and the antlers clean up, he will have an impressive set of antlers.:)

P&P no health issues at this time of year... If weather warm then potential fly issues but not now...
My only problem is that many people want him to brighten their Christmas - he is a cuddly star but nobody wants him in January, they only want him November and December.. :(
Adding a none relevant picture of Twiglet, just to make post more interesting to others.. :)
