here are my calculations for the event:

470 coloured photo paper (6 calla of each colour each)
150 silver photo paper (6 silverdew each)
plus the related calla per step 2 of each room

Total
6,070 cyan calla
7,320 magenta calla
4,820 yellow calla
900 Silverdew

Total event crops to grow: 18,210

I will just be doing the event to get the cloud row and will not continue on to get on the top 3000 list.

I forgot to mention, that you also need crops, fruit, animals and products for the third steps of each room!!!! But there was no calculation involved.

Thanks clonahmon for the calculation and lessening our burden. Event Crops amount seems to be fine. But the drop Silverdew - 900 !! which we get only from harvesting the Event crops only. Phew !!

This is what the FAQ states

" Silverdew

You will get these drops while harvesting your Event plants only "

 

I'm glad we don't have to do anything special to prepare our farms and can farm how we wish up to the start of the event. However, I do hope the drop rate will be in alignment/direct proportion to the event crops needed. I would really not want to have to continue growing event crops beyond the amount required for donation just for event drops. Neighbor gifts will be important.

Back on topic: Make sure you move your trophies every time you harvest if you don't have the Living Legend.

Since we don't have to plant our long crops overnight, I will plant the event crop overnight probably in comfort fields as I will not be setting the alarm to farm through the night.

I thought I done a wise thing, I prepare my field 36 hr before eventt start, using comfort field,
& plant more trees, so that I could get good drops.
But........................................
BP always give us surprise, the old way can't be walk all time.
So, BP made a little change.
Drops only come from event crops.
No need to torn your feld, plan your longest crop, got full field of trees...
they don't give you any.
DROPS!

Edit(add word) : It teach me a lesson, never try to guess BP, don't plan anything before you see the FAQ

 

dnin21cent, I even added supergrows on comfort fields as I was able to prepare the fields, only today I first planned to use supergrows after reading FAQ but something in me prompted me to do it then and there. Gone waste

 

Although the givers are cute, I'm not sure about donating 5-10 mil; landing in 2999th and getting 10 powerfeed. I think I'm gonna pass on this one.

I don't want to made big changes on my fields. I don't want to clear my rare trees, stables, workshop,
there always had some never move stuff!
Now, drops only come from event crops, Hope that drops rate be good.
Will the buff affect the drop rate? Will I get lessen drops if I used CAC as I will used lessen time to grow
enough crops.
I don't want to plant more than required event crops!

 

Aem.. aren't you getting the CR with completing the silver room and the TOP 3000 is then in addition? (which I presume, we don't have to do).
I will try the event up to the CR but not donating anything to the top3000 (I am sure I will only be placed outside of the reward places)

There is no crafting buffs that have any effect on event drops. So using CAC or not using it doesn't lessen or increase the drops. During the event CAC will always be running for me. I think the prizes for TOP 1000/2000/3000 is not valuable enough. At least some sort of pets or cloudrows with special prizes can be given to them or an amount of GBs or stars or BBs can be given to them. They are emptying the barn aren't they ?

 

Well this is a different twist Seeing how we only get drops from the event plants, I'm going to decide today if I will use Pumpkin Jam instead of CAC. My opinion is if we have to grow those particular crops to get the drops, there might not be any real hurry to get them done. I only read over the FAQ's once though so I will go back and get a better look Good luck everyone and please have fun!!

 

I think saturnia22 got a bit confused on main event & the top3000
he/she may forget that you could only done part I(5 Room) & then donate nothing for the
top300 competion.
I like the past, only try do part I. If I could get the 900drops.
I don't think I will temp by the top 1000 prize, From the very beginning When the harvest event first
held. I try donate some. then wake uo quickly & stop my loss.
Each year harvest event (I call Clear barn donation event) , I only keep myself as a outsider, watch &
congrulate those enter top1000.
This year, BP may listen a bit, try to comfort those pour millions of stuff but got nothing,
So, BP give out top 3000, the rank 1001 to 3000 could got something back.
But if you are the 3001 afterward. Oh, sorry, you got nothing for what you donate even you are just
1 exchange value lessen!
BP had warn you on FAQ. My advice is : think more before you donate
And for those newbies, don't believe what you saw on the trophy for the top 1000 list
they will change big at the last day, last few hr or even last ten min before event end

Sorry, I don't understand, CAC could used on event crops, Do you mean we can't used
it in this event?
What I mean is :
I used CAC(+2), I then used lessen time compare to a player don't used CAC to got the whole qty
of required event crops. How the drops count, does it will give a player 900 drops once the player
had grow the total qty?

 

dnin21cent, I believe that 12ss12 is saying that there are no buffs that will increase drops from event crops. CAC will still work to increase crop numbers. (12ss12, correct me if I'm wrong.)

Yes, that was what I was trying to say. Thanks for explaining on behalf of me.

I don't think so. I don't think growing all event crops will ensure we get all the drops (900).
But we have to wait for the event to take place to see the actual drop rate.

 

Oh, If that's what 12ss12 talk.
Yes, of course, no craft buff relate with drops. Only 1 CR & Howie could increase drops.
Since I don't want to grow alot of excess e vent crops
I just post question to ask mod to clarify my concern.

 

I am not sure how I am going to tackle this one. It was going to be my last "normal" event for Chevrefeuille and I was going to attempt the Top whatever - may even be able to get into the Top 3000 but what prizes! It hardly seems worth the effort ... but I have always wanted to have a go and never had the nerve or resources (though the latter is still debatable!).

I am thinking of doing both farms with 2x2s and, when I have enough for full fields, will use comfort fields ... then I can manage manual harvesting and can save the harvester coupons for another event.

This farm will hang on to its precious stock of goodies for another year - as long as the prizes are better. I am really not impressed with anything from this event. Am I being greedy or are these really meager rewards for such a (usually) momentous event? I am sure there was one where we could win the CAC and the ZAB recipes during a HH. Most of us couldn't remember if we had won it/them or not until we reached level 4 of the appropriate artisan workshop. I think I asked Teddy in Chat if I had won ZAB!


Well that's today's plan, it may change tomorrow!

Don't see the rewards for the top 1000 that exciting ...would sooner keep my barn as it is ...it isn't as full as it should be ...after the barn clearings ...but am working on that in between events
might even have the courage to try the harvest hoedown next year

I think I'm going to sit this one out not worth tearing the fields up for and my mills are full producing animal feed and building back up my PF good luck to everyone going for it though

 

Thank You for the numbers Clonahmon, it always helps. I'm not sure what I'm going to do, so will grow the crops and count the drops. I really need stars and gb, but my barn is still recovering from upgrading the menageries. I think I will give it a try. Good luck to everyone.
