I started playing this game years ago, when it first came out. I fought through constant weeds, rain, flooding and such. I enjoyed the graphics back then and the format of the farm game itself.

When events were first introduced I attempted to participate with my small farm. Of course my results were lackluster at best. The events kept coming until I felt overwhelmed by them and finally walked away from the game. Seems to me my farm was in the mid 50's.

My wife had watched as I farmed. Unbeknown to me she started her own farm so she was playing while I was playing. I spent about a year and a half, maybe two years, away from the game. My wife asked me if I would harvest and plant some event crops for her while she was at work. Not having a farm myself I was more than happy to.

Well, long story short, working her farm fired up my old farming bug and here I am again. The difference between then and now? I've learned that event participation is NOT mandatory! I can pick and chose which events to participate in. Makes for a much happier farmer me.

Upon my return I've noticed many changes made to the game by the BP team. Much needed changes in my humble opinion. The game itself is better than ever and with the changes made in the last few days it seems the health of the game is secure. At least as far as what's offered as play.

I couldn't help but notice that as my farm has matured, the events become much easier to complete. No surprise there for the veterans, but it is hope for the new farmers amongst us. Keep farming as it does get easier.

I also noticed that although I'm completing each event now, I'm also falling further behind in working on my Farmer Society Quests (FSQs). I feel this is due, at least in part, to the stacking of events. That is when one event ends another one starts on the same day. With never ending events I have no time to grow crops or critters for the FSQs. So I'm getting further behind in that effort.

I've managed to raise many critters needed for a goodly amount of the quests. However, the crops needed to go with them are sorely lacking. I can't grow quest crops and event crops at the same time. The end result is my FSQs are being left behind for the sake of completing events.

So, unless the event has some super duper rewards, I'll have to pass on them. That is at least until I have a ton of FSQs completed. Then I'll be better situated to participate in the events.

I've posted this so that BP, Mods, and my Farmer friends all understand why I am not participating in this event. I'll take each event on it's own merit and decide if it's worth interrupting my FSQ quest or not.

Good fortune to all! May the Drops be with you!

    Happy Farming!

I feel the same as you, sirpippen.
Many a times I skipped the events when I felt it was too much for me, especially the breeding event. But later on I learnt several strategies and tips from the forum, especially from broke, Mooboy, mir, meba (Hail Queen Meba ! xD:p) and several others. And without straining too much I was able to do the event, even if they were too taxing. But this last event was very taxing on me. Straining too much for what I do not know. o_O Keeping on harvesting, harvesting and harvesting...to get that measly sum of drops. What we do with the left over crops, I do not know that too. What do I get with stacking up of event crops that too I do not know. I was already tired with lots of work in RL and this made me too tired an incapable of thinking that now I cannot even try to understand the FAQ of School Gardening Event. May be I should follow Darwin's Theory of Natural Selection and select the events to do and try to skip events not worth our straining and in that way stay long with this game.

Sirpippen and 12ss12 I have always been a Strategist when it comes to Tackling Events. But Lately The FAQ for Events has not always been posted Correctly. Which leads to Confusion and Misunderstanding how to do these Events.

Sadly The Strategy Thread for Events is not explained clear enough Lately. As Those who Create Strategy Thread does not always fully understand or have advise the right method or make suggestions what it takes to complete an Event.

One thing about doing events is the time constraints accessing the Game. The Golden Rule to Complete an Event is to prevent as much Idle Time as you can. Especially on Events that needs Drop Items to Complete Event Steps in FAQ Quest

I completed the Picture Perfect Event using All Five Fields Constantly growing Event Crops there was no alternative way to complete that Event. The Pressure of getting 900 Drops was too high considering the Event Crop Growing Times !!

Many of you Actually have to go to work or not got Internet Access or Busy in RL. These are the real reasons the prevent farmers completing events which is often the case of many idle times that prevent getting Drops or Growing Event Crops. It not to bad when someone have free time or Retired or not working are the ones more likely to do well with events.

Some Events can be done using very Little RL Money or Some use of BB. But it is very unlikely that Events can be done Completely Free without the use of Harvester. Do Events completely Manually !!

These are some of reason why Farmers Struggle to do Event. I know that some of these events are hard to do but not all of them !!;)
