Picture Perfect strategy

So, Mooboy, you are saying that we should harvest as close as possible to the time when the crops are ready, right?

So if my yellows are finished at 10:00 and I don't go in to harvest them until 1:00, I will be losing out on drops according to your logic? Right?

I am harvesting my baby farm long after it is due, and I am doing horrible on drops. I seem to be doing better on the farm that I get to on time. (I set my alarm on my computer, but always to the big farm, not the small farm.) This could be the problem. The trophies are close to being the same on both farms. I don't have any Howies and I am running out of SG.

You could be right, Mooboy. I will try to be obedient to my alarm in the future! Thanks for the advice, Mooboy!

 

With one harvest due in about half an hour and one more in the morning, I should be finished with the event. I want to thank all my friends and neighbors for sending drops. It has made a big difference. I really appreciate all the help!

 

Well, I have finished almost everything - got the cloud row, the golden bananas, the stars, have extra crops, even got the 150,000EV, etc......and then I hit the brick wall, the very last thing - yep, you guessed it! The 100 silver papers!! And of course I have only 5 drops left. I still need to make 94 (I have 6 already made). 94X6=564 drops!!!
I have been sleeping in short shifts during the 24 hr. periods to harvest two farms, and have an excess of crops. But where are the drops???
We should have had a reasonable expectation of getting them in a more timely manner.

This is the worst, the most unbalanced Event I can remember. I am so disappointed in BP. They are too experienced to let this happen without knowing that it would. And they can increase the drop rate any time they feel like it - we know this from past experience.

Sadly, sadly, sadly, logic can reach only one obvious conclusion...most of us are being forced to choose: Either BUY drops...or do not finish the Event. That is the logical reason for the sorry, inadequate drop rate.

I will not be manipulated like this. I will not buy one single drop. Period. Had the rate been reasonable and doable, then I might have figured the fault was my own - and bought drops. But I have finished everything - and even have extra crops!! So it is not my fault that I do not have the drops that were reasonably to be expected.

Too bad, BP. Seems like we both lose on this one.

But you may eventually lose the most - a real $$$-paying, long time, high level farming Customer. You may have crossed the line on this one, along with the Forum problems. It is just too much, too stressful...Not why we play this G-a-m-e.

 

I don't think this farm is going to get the last giver for the cloud row. This has been a disaster of an event. I should have read the FAQ closer - I would have just skipped it. I think my other farm will make it - barely. The drop rates are abysmal (I think I spelled that right).

 

My sympathies, dumbunny...looks like I'll be joining you. The last one can only be gotten by donating the 100 silver papers.

 

still need 450 drops (75 silver paper) have tried comfort field, 1x1 and 1x4. I only grow yellow now than all the other rooms are done. But I only get 6 to 8 drops per field. have the trophy at 29%. therefore I can only do about 15 silverpaper per day!!! with only 2 days left it is impossible. Did anyone get the shade of cyan? Not only will no one get to use the cloud row, but almost no one either will be able to participate in the to reward event. I had no intention to do the top award, but it is very frustrating not to be able to complete the cloud row because BP miscalculated the drops flow.
so far I have an excess of 76 cyan callas, 567 magenta callas and 7361 yellow callas.

 

I tried using the CF but I really don't see where that's any better because you have to wait 17 hrs if you use 1x1s you get a few less drops but you can harvest more frequently I have 50 silver paper I just need 50 more but it seems hopeless

 

From my understanding the use of Comfort Fields gives you twice as many Drops compared to 2 x 2 Field But Comfort Fields does take 4 times Longer to Grow compared to 2 x 2 Field.

As you are better off having 1 x 1 Fields in All 5 Fields. What is very Essential Strategy this way is to make sure you keep your Idle Time as Minimal as possible. The Longer you leave your Farm Idle, where it is ready to harvest. You are missing out getting a better reaping Drop Rate of Drops of harvesting of Event Crops !!

Jollyfama65, Yes Always prevent your Farm Idle time as Minimal as Possible, Even you need to take note when next time your farm is ready to harvest. It Helps to have a Farmerama Diary to know when next to harvest your Fields !!

My Strategy is to make most of the Fields during an Event. Even if all 5 Fields are needed. As i always prepare to Rip out my Farm to i can make the Best use to uses my Strategy as Effectively as Possible. Once Got Event Crops and All Drops from Event Achieved then i can resume to normal farming. While the Event is running. After the next harvest i will put out all Trees as many Fruits as i can reap into Top1000 on Baha I can make use of PAC I Should be able to grow two lots of Trees in All Fields while this Event is running....

I do fully understand the Frustration of not able to get into Top3000 or Get the Cloud Row as it is a real Bummer not be able to do either of Rainbow or Silver Rooms !!

 

More and more challenges are biased to money spending; if you want to finish it, buy a basket(s). With this one, especially so. This is very unfair practice from BigPoint, personally think about to stop the playing at all and sell the farm, because there is no more fun...

 

I have now grown 19,838 extra crops and all my fields are filled with yellow calla. I have 8 Howies.

I still need 132 drops. Come on BP, lift the drop rate.

 

Same problem here . All event crops in stock but only 49 silver photo paper. Need 600 siver dew to complete it. And this is impossible now as I have to plant more event crops to get them which I don't need .

 

I agree have everything but drops. They are not coming . I don't think I will get enough to finish it either.

Harvested my first round of comfort fields ( with super grows +white innocence+fruit cake+water+manure) = extremely costly affair, if I might say so. But I need to finish this event for the cloud row and I have FOCD+EOCD. I was able to make 17 silver papers and there is another 17 comfort fields to harvest in another one hr. So might be able to make another 2 to 3 silver paper. In between I did a round of ordinary 2x2 field and made 9 silver papers. Another round of comfort field with yellow calla is due by another 4 hours or so. So might finish the event by tomorrow.

But did you use super grows and WI And FC ? I posted the combination in the other post. With them it is 4 and 1/2 hrs or so. Only if you use those comfort field is best. Otherwise no Sorry to hear about the low drops. When I used comfort field I made 17 silver papers otherwise I would have made 9 or 10 papers. Don't worry, there is still time and you will make it. I will send you some drops. Cheer up.

 

I just finished event and have my CR up and running I had mentioned a few events ago that I decided it was better for me to take everything off my farm except the trees that I always leave. That gives me 951 (1x1's) Yes, it's alot of clicking since I don't have the harvester subscription and I don't buy SG but I do it anyway. I won't be doing anymore of this event as I have no interest at this time to empty my barn but I wish the very best to those competing and to those trying to finish this event

 

I got up in the middle of the night, harvested and replanted both farms, so Sewinglady's will definitely make it as that farm only needs 7 more silver papers. I need 75 for this farm. not gonna happen. Oh yeah - and one of the Bahamarama fields on Sewinglady's farm yielded NO silver papers this morning - with the yellow calla planted. None. Nada. Zip - even with the CR buff for extra drops of all resources. This has happened more than once on both farms with all three of the callas. BP has been downright stingy with the drops for this event.

 

With only 44 hours left in the event, I still need 70 Silverdew. I'm doing exactly as Mooboy is doing. All 5 fields, growing event crops (mostly Yellow Calla up to this point), and harvesting/replanting as soon as I possibly can.
