Picture Perfect strategy

Nellie, I am in the same boat!
246 drops needed. Think, I will not make it.
No strategy was working here for this event.
But... next year I will try it again..

Add me to the list of no way near enough drops it so wrong the way they have done this

 

So has the drop rate been adjusted or did I just get really lucky? This is from one full field of yellow callas in 1x1s, with 2 Howies. Nothing different or special on my end.

Thanks for the congrats!! I put my starter seeds on 2x2s with SSG and used PJ. I built the magenta and yellow ones up to about 90 seeds and switched to 1x1's. It took a good 24 hrs or so to get it squared away so I only had 1 type of crop on all fields. I had a total of 951 1x1 plots. I just figured if we were only going to get drops from event crops that I would need to keep growing them. This is how I do my events I also rotated the crops as much as I could. Read once if you could do that, it might help with the drop rate. Just had to try anything to get those drops Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for the drops to increase for everyone!!

 

that's about what I did to but I'm still having troubles ok here are the numbers marlymar needs 17 papers = 102 drops
flwrsndnc needs 25 papers = 150 drops
bmcfall_8490 needs 30 papers = 180 drops
lennon_2011 needs 36 papers = 216 drops
woooohoooo ALLL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! doin the HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! never give up ))

 

I posted on SOS list where should we post for silverdew? I still need about 200 on each farm Not sure I can make it even with SOS going out.

I still need 312 drops. Harvested one field of yellow . got 12 drops for the first time. Thought maybe drops are adjusted. too late but adjusted. Went to the next field. got 2 drops. So no adjustment were made.

 

Well...I have been reading everyone's comments regarding drop rate....Here's mine. I have the required amount of crops and I was rewarded with a little over 200 drops for my effortsI'd say that is rather an illegal move on BP's behalf....perhaps I should call my attorney

Have tried Everything in the book ...1X1s...comfort fields with super grow.. fruit cake white innocense 4 howies and have been at my computer to harvest on time and my fields have never been idle from the start of this event ... the works ...and drops haven't improved ...so to me this says... this was a pay to play event from day one

Have never ever seen this amount of people needing drops

All i need is shades of cyan to finish this event...I cannot see that i will be getting that to complete the cloud row...
what a waste of time AND NO i am not paying to finish it ...this is advertised as a free game and that's how i am playing it
Have got every field covered in yellow calla ...two of these are in comforts nuked with super grow...see how that goes

Finally got the drops, completed the quest and got the cloud row.

Left with 27,828 event crops. I could have planted something I needed instead. Never again will I do a quest in this ridiculous format

 

still need 55 silver paper and wish I hadn't started this .... event. (Fill in the blank with what ever comes to your mind. Won't be positive anyway.) What a waste of SSG,SG and time.

 

Congrats, Cassie! I hadn't totaled mine up, just knew there was alot. I ended up with 25,194 extras Nellie, I'm not sure how much each silverdew costs but it's probably too rich for my blood I've never bought any of the packages or drops and never will. Rather spend my RL money on RL things I need I hope you do get your drops

Need 16 silver papers now and if my maths are right ... i need 96 drops

 

Here are my final totals:
- 12,220 Cyan Calla
- 14,891 Magenta Calla
- 17,961 Yellow Calla
...
...
- 375 Silverdew???

With only around 24 hours left in the event, there is no way it is possible for me to finish this event. Like many here, if I cannot finish an event due to my poor planning, I can accept that. However, the drop rate for Silverdew on this quest was so horrendous, it was, very obviously, an event you needed to pay to complete.

At one time, I found the game challenging, and fun. Now, for about the last year, it has gotten very tedious and exceptionally difficult to complete. I was a diamond member (so paying for a free-to-play game) to support BP and Farmerama. Not sure whether I'll continue to pay, or just go freebie when my subscription runs out; that will depend on whether the new packages are worth it (in my opinion) and how many more nearly impossible to complete without paying events come up. I highly doubt I'll stop playing altogether, though; the basic game is fun. I may just need to ignore events.

 

@Nellie same with me. also 27 silver paper needed.

If the drops are staying that low, I think I will miss the last giver item by 1 drop!

Need to make 2 silver paper and blue crop is growing. So might finish it if I get 12 drops in the next harvest.

 

Finished on 2 farms, 3 more still fighting to the end. One of those, with 30% trophies in the LL and one howie has in excess of 27,000 extra yellow callas already, still needs to make 17 more silver papers. 2 farms I gave up on when more than half way through I had less than 300 drops.
BTW I didn't buy baskets or use SG after the initial seeds. I did go for all of the givers first (hate CR missing items).
