    On this day let's thank the farmers and all those who made our life prosperous and happier


    Howe’er they roam, the world must follow still the plougher’s team;
    Though toilsome, culture of the ground as noblest toil esteem.

    I want to Thank all the farmers and friends who believe in me and are proud of me,who gave me a new strength for my final exams,who sent their best wishes to me when I had my exams and who love me as a person in this forum.;):D
    And of course,a special     Thanks to 12ss12 for this thread:p

    I'm not American and we don't celebrate Thanksgiving at all but its a great festival to be celebrated.Its Good.:D
    Why people celebrate Thanksgiving like what's its history?o_O

    I too didn't know what Thanksgiving day was about until yesterday. But searched and found that it is a harvest festival where we thank those who help us and our family to be prosperous and bountiful. Just like we in Tamilnadu celebrate Pongal - the harvest festival. Its in mid January here. We thank farmers, nature, sun, cattle and enjoy ourselves on the last day with family, relatives and friends. Every Nation has its own way of saying thanks.

    Okay !! Thanks for the information.:)
    But we don't celebrate any festival like ThanksGiving in our place,I think that I say Thanks to the person (who has helped me) on the same day.
