Eek. we have a lovely, low stress weekend booked... Eek they want BORIS too but not too worried as this is our 4th year and they have put up with him with red/pink antlers and even when he dropped his antlers altogether.. :( He IS a Pain. but I think I may take Freya on Saturday as her debut.. we'll see.. Sunday either Mischa or Katya to accompany, not sure yet :)

Whoops have to Edit as I can't repost.. Just had a call from vet for first results from Hectors complete med check. All worm/fluke fecals came back negative for everything.. Great news as resistance for wormers would be a problem.. Still waiting for blood results... Vet thinks (pro temps) his weight loss is just due to a young male becoming intoxicated with his hormones... we'll see, I too hope so but I need to rule out anything I can help change.. Hmmn males are a problem to me!!

Oh dear little Freya with her baby antlers. :inlove: This will be a huge 1st for her...going out for an event.:music: How is she with strangers or new people that come to your farm? Katya and Mischa should do well if Boris is a no-go. Good luck this weekend!

I think males can be a problem for most females.

Freya and Lexi are wonderful with strangers to their paddocks.
We have worked on lead rope training, umbrellas and lots of other things... Funny thing is, this weekend at the kids party, the children started throwing fake snowballs... the mother was panicking and trying to stop them in case it stressed the adult reindeer... they didn't bat an eyelid.
Wasn't till later I thought that I launch apples into their paddocks for them to hunt for - anything thrown over their heads even isn't a worry as it means treats to hunt out...
Baby girls now have their Red head collars on... lets hope it doesn't rain or the colouring may bleed..

We're back from our wedding booking.. it will be ages before we have official photos of bride and groom with reindeer but in the meantime Katya's handler took an informal photo of "the special guests" while we had a quiet moment.. We just never get our own photos as we are always on the "sharp end"!!!

Yes it's us too (it isn't too close up, so you can't see the wrinkles)!

Yesterday's show team just don't get the concept of a day off.

Opened back up to sort trailer for tomorrow and in they get "Road Trip....!!! ????"- I had to chase them out to close up... it's a regular occurrence.
If ever anyone wanted proof that they don't mind going out on exhibit, that to me, is proof positive - self loading reindeer.. :)

Wait till tomorrow... I am so proud of my this year's babies.. All 4 will be "working" tomorrow. They are such confident little babies. :)

Thor & Loki's new owner's open to the public tomorrow (right through till Xmas and they are the main "draw"). Ythanbank in Scotland.

Lexi and her mother Twiglet have gone to Welford Christmas Trees for a few weeks (wife is a vet and my vet is a close friend and lives at next door farm) only place I will leave reindeer unattended b me.

And I am taking baby Freya (with Boris as her chaperone) to a Christmas Craft Fayre at Castle Ashby... a big day for me with ALL my babies flying the flag! :)

I am sure the handsome Boris will explain to little Freya how to behave when she is out and about meeting people. Hope you all have fun. You must be so proud of all your babies, and rightly so!
