Wow, such great news that all the kids (babies) are going out to make their mum proud! I bet Thor and Loki are just as handsome as ever!;) And what better roll model than Boris for your new rising star
Freya!:inlove: I think she will be the female version of Hector!:inlove::D And Lexi and Twiglet will enjoy their time at the Christmas tree farm, but I know you will miss them till they get back...the good
news is that you will be very busy with less time to think about it! :) I hope you and your hubby have a wonderful Holiday season and your reindeer put smiles on many, many faces!:inlove:

Heehee. we never seem to do Christmas for ourselves.. ;)

    Do I share???

My mother died in 2010... that was when I started playing this game, to escape from reality...

When I received her inheritance I kind of knew she would want me to follow a dream and do something really crazy- I think she would be happy... hence I brought 5 manically wild reindeer straight off the tundra..

Now I have a herd of wonderful reindeer... it's taken a lot of time and love to get the wild bred ones on board but I also have 100% success rate with calves this year... may never happen again as worldwide it's about 50%..
My herd are in memory of my mother who made it possible ..
Thank you, I hope you can somehow see how you have changed my life.. :)

Oh folks, thank you... you have all made me weep but in a good way.. as it's lovely for her to get recognition - she was a beautiful lady inside and out...
I loved her to bits and she died so unexpectedly, she had been caring for my stepfather with Alzheimers for years and she was too young to pass but the stresses of her life became too much.
I knew the inheritance she left me she would want me to do something silly and fun... Hence the reindeer...
AND everyday we go out and bring smiles to faces that is for my mother..
Today's update baby Freya (my premmie baby) went out for the first time... At home she has been and absolute star, so friendly with all. Decided to take her out on her debut to a lovely stress free annual booking... She was such a star, never stressed, I didn't put her on lead rope so that she could choose what she did or didn't do... but within an hour she was finding children to stroke her... I think she may become a star of the future (or a Diva!).. Not the best picture but the only one I have.. :)

We didn't mean to make you cry ...but the pic of your beautiful Mom and the story was too sweet not comment on.
Oh dear little Freya.....it's probably all the fussing over her that has made her so friendly to humans. She is a princess...and deserves all the caring strokes from children she can get!!:inlove:
I know it must be a ton of work and trouble to bring your reindeer to all these events. You are being a reindeer ambassador....and making all kinds of people fall in love with them.
I certainly have fallen hard for your herd!:music:

Today we had the second day of same event (it's always a low stress event - hence introducing Freya yesterday) we have done it for 4 years now - for some reason the (adult) public at this event are always very interested to learn about reindeer, the children believe... and to be honest it boosts us beyond as we always get compliments about how our reindeer look in so much better condition than any they have seen before...
Today I took, Boris and Mischa as two days running for baby Freya, I felt was too much for a baby.... but bless her she tried to get in trailer to join today's show team... That's the good side of this weekend... On the down side...
Within half an hour of being on exhibit, Boris' right eye, he was keeping closed... As yet I don't know the cause... this symptom is usually the start of an eye infection caused by flies, known a Newforest Disease but no flies about at this time of year... He had stripped a little velvet over night so maybe got a scratch from a twig, or there is a certain age of boys... usually about 4 years, that find huge reindeer eyes a wonderful target to prod with fingers BUT we are on high alert for this.
Poor BoBo - he has an eyeful of ointment tonight, caught it early so shouldn't be a problem, if infection missed then eye turns opaque and blue and takes longer to heal...
Picture is a helper and Boris' closed eye:([IMG]

Poor Boris! Hope everything heals quickly. So delighted that Freya enjoys going on show tours; she will be the belle of the ball very soon!

Boris update, for his fans... :)
So much better this morning. His eye open a lot more but still light sensitive. Picture this evening. If you can see white goo, don't panic it is eye ointment... He'll be back on duty very soon. :)

Sweet Cassi, you are so right.. When I got her she had just one pathetic bifurcated antler and the next 2 years she broke at least one... This year her antlers are wonderful for a girl! :)

Well Lexi and Twiglet sure do look very comfy! I just love the markings on Lexi's face, she is so pretty!
Oh I forgot to add that Boris's eye looks real good! :)
